This conversation with Jem Stone is brimming with heartfelt wisdom and important insights about the wellbeing landscape that we all need to hear and can benefit from to help create inclusive spaces where everyone feels welcome and has the opportunity to thrive. Jem is a change maker, thought leader and trailblazer whose mission is to create safer, culturally sensitive spaces in the yoga community, the wellbeing landscape and beyond into every day life. The wisdom Jem shares in this conversation will change the way you think about your relationship to the earth and challenge your view of what it means to be well - the mission of this podcast. To me, expanding our view of wellbeing has to involve the inclusion of First Nations perspectives, the challenges and work to do, the patience and commitment to genuine connection and understanding. In this conversation we get into what safe spaces look like in the wellbeing world and how we can all benefit from and better appreciate the philisophy and ways of being that kept our Australian First Nations people well for over 80,000 years. I encourage you to listen to this episode with an open heart and mind and I invite you before you do to consider the Country you are on. Can you connect deeply to the land? What gratitude can you hold in your heart today for the space you call home? How can you tread lightly on the land today? And how can you open your heart and mind to find a meaningful path to reconciliation? This episode was recorded on Bunurong and Boon Wuurrung land and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung land.
