On Friday's Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett and Chris Egan from KING 5 start off the Friday show, minus, the Go-2-Guy, Jim Moore who is off traveling to Pullman for Parents Weekend. Puck and Egan talked about what stage of grief they are in with the Mariners and they have yet to reach the point where they are thankful on the past season. Once the boys are over talking Mariners, they switch gears to high school sports and discuss the controversy surrounding the Skyline High School football program and the suspension and reinstatement of head coach Peyton Pelluer. The decision surrounds a group of senior parents upset about playing time and they took their grievances to the school and the school district. Pucksports handicapper TroyWins.comjoins Puck to discuss the top games in college football and the NFL. After Puck wraps up with Troy, he welcomes “Friday Night Lights” with Todd Milles from VarsityWaNews.com to cover and preview all the top games in high school football and Todd shares his reporting and perspective on the situation at Skyline High School. visit: https://espn700sports.com/shows/down-dirty-with-scott-mitchell/visit: https://www.ysguys.com This week on Y's Guys, Dave McCann and Blaine Fowler celebrate BYU's 6–0 start after a dramatic 33–27 double-overtime win at Arizona, and preview one of the most anticipated matchups in recent memory — No. 15 BYU vs. No. 23 Utah in Provo. The Cougars rallied from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit behind LJ Martin's career-high 162 rushing yards, Parker Kingston's 117 yards and a touchdown, and a relentless defensive performance led by Siale Esera, who posted a career-best 16 tackles. With bowl eligibility secured, BYU now sets its sights on the Big 12 title race and state bragging rights. The episode features former Utah quarterback and current broadcaster Scott Mitchell, who joins live to discuss the history and emotion of the BYU–Utah rivalry. Mitchell and the hosts conduct a fantasy draft-style comparison of position groups — from quarterbacks Bear Bachmeier and Devon Dampier to linebackers Jack Kelly and Lander Barton — and predict which side has the edge in the 97th edition of “The Holy War.”Also joining the show is Harvey Scott from Redmond, presenting the Re-Lyte Athlete of the Week: Siale Esera, who stepped up in the absence of Jack Kelly and dominated on defense with 16 tackles, a QB hurry, and a pass breakup. Harvey also shares his outlook for Saturday's showdown and expectations for BYU's season as the Cougars prepare for a national stage on FOX's Big Noon Kickoff. The show rounds out with Big 12 highlights, Cougar NFL updates, and campus notes presented by BYU Pathway Worldwide, including the men's cross-country team's win at the Nuttycombe Invitational, Delaney Gibb's preseason All-Big 12 honors in women's basketball, and the latest rankings for soccer, volleyball, and golf. Y's Guys closes with the Inspirational Quote of the Week from Marie Osmond, reminding viewers: “If you're going to be able to look back on something and laugh about it, you might as well laugh about it now.” Hosted on Acast. On today's Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett and the Go-2-Guy, Jim Moore open up the show discussing the Mariners gutsy game one win over Toronto in the ALCS. Bryce Miller was fantastic and Puck makes the case that it was the Mariners most impressive starting performance in playoff history. Puck and Jim have a good laugh on Blue Jays manager John Schneider's behalf for his comments on Cal Raleigh in the past and his decision to pull Kevin Gausman from the game, a tactical error. Puck and Jim touch on the Seahawks win, JSN's performance and the Cougars almost shock the world. Michael-Shawn Dugar, The Athletic joins Puck from Jacksonville to breakdown the Seahawks win over the Jags. The defensive line was the story for the Seahawks and they dominated the game. However, the game should not have been that close, and it's on the offense and specifically the running game to make sure that doesn't happen again. Back to the Mariners as Bill Krueger, host of the “Old School Baseball” podcast joins Puck to breakdown the Mariners game one win vs. the Blue Jays and why Bryce Miller was so effective and where is performance ranks in Mariners history. Cal Raleigh continues to dominate the Blue Jays. Jorge Polanco, with each passing game gives you professional at bats and Bill reacts to the Mariners decision to start Logan Gilbert and not Luis Castillo in game two. A TIE Fighter parked on the moon with footprints leading into mystery. A glossy blue Bearcat bound for a local collection. A workshop cleanup that turns frustration into flow. This one blends story, craft, and community into a practical guide for getting more joy—and more finishes—out of your modeling time.Mike, Kentucky Dave, and guest Jeff Groves of The Inch High Guy blog kick off with a lively Louisville MMCL recap: books rehomed, raffle wins scored, and real talk about what makes a vendor table actually work. Then we dive into a Fine Molds TIE Fighter Advanced that escapes the stash and lands in a moody micro-diorama—access panels opened, spares-box “widgetology” on full display, and a thoughtful debate about screen-accurate versus studio-accurate color. That sci‑fi detour pairs with classic comfort builds: Hasegawa Panthers and Cougars that favor flow over parts count, contrasted with today's ultra-detailed IBG, Arma, and Eduard toolings. The takeaway is balance—choose projects that match your bandwidth, and don't be afraid to chase a story when accuracy turns fuzzy. The heart of the episode is practical: a week-long workshop overhaul that pays off daily. We talk sorting paints you actually use, labeling decal binders, consolidating spares into findable bins, and adopting tiny habits—put one thing away when you sit down and one when you stand up—that keep the bench from shrinking to a postcard. From there, we explore display strategy: a clean “universal base” that unifies your collection, blurred terrain for convincing motion, etched blurred rotors that work only when the scene supports them, and a wall-of-models shelving build using repurposed acrylic. We also spotlight upgrades and new kits—an AMP Northrop M2‑F3 lifting body perfect for polished metal tones, a Loire 130 redo for better clarity, and jaw-dropping 3D‑printed Zero engines—and look at how shifting import rules may accelerate local printing and hybrid kits.If you build for the story, optimize your space for speed, and pick a base that frames the work, your models start to sing. Join us for smart tips, a few laughs, and a fresh push to finish what's on your bench.
