It's been an interesting 2020 to say the least, and although it's one of those years we'd probably all like to forget, the girls braced themselves for a look back at the ghosts of episodes past. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Some of them will haunt us forevermore, but when all is said and done, this year was our best year yet. We joined Never Sleeps Network, we learned a lot, we laughed a lot, and we gained some pretty amazing new listeners along the way. Thanks to all of you for sticking it out. We know it's been a bumpy ride, but we've come a long way, and we hope that with the lessons we've learned this year, 2021 will be nothing short of amazing.
Paul is joined by actor and improvisor Becky Johnson to talk Days of Heaven, Badlands, which movie is Terry's grassiest, Y2K, the band LEN, child actors and more.Engineering by Alex Ross of Never Sleeps Network.Theme music by Jeremy Woodcock.
We're recording in Toronto for this latest episode - that's right, we're NATIONAL now! Zak gets together with host of the Speech Bubble Podcast Aaron Broverman to watch the lumberjack match between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose from SummerSlam 2014. Special thanks to Never Sleeps Network for use of their studio!
On today’s show I have a fellow podcaster Aaron Broverman on the show today. He hosts his own comic book based podcast called the Speech Bubble on the Never Sleeps Network. He is a journalist who has written for Yahoo, Vice, TVO, NOW and he’s a fellow Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner. We actually go to the same academy and have practiced together. What I find inspiring about Aarons story is he trains Jiu Jitsu despite having difficulty with his balance and coordination. Aaron was born with Cerebral Palsy and has found the most unique ways to keep exercise and fitness into his life. Also... this guy gets up at 4:30am just so he can get to his Jiu Jitsu class. Four Freaking Thirty in the morning. We get to talking about a bunch of things today from: First Day in Jiu Jitsu His Strategies for Getting Up In the Morning How to Develop Core Strength What Is the Best Way to Lose Weight without exercise I hope you enjoy today's episode.
