Live Passionately, Love Completely, Learn Humbly, and Leave Boldly. These are the four principles that we learned about in our “one month to live” study. However, none of these matter if we don’t have God and His word as the center for our motivations. Life is short, too short to wait. We are called to live differently than others, and when we infuse God’s word into our spiritual and physical core, we can live every day with no regrets and show His love to all.

God has placed within every one of our hearts this desire to live a life that outlasts us. The problem is we get so distracted by life, we forget that our time on earth is limited. Today we look at how Jesus lived a life that left a bold legacy, but leaving nothing out and putting everything on the line!
Life is a lot like a roller coaster. There are up’s and downs. There are sharp curves where the wheels start to come off the track. There are dark tunnels that you are not sure you are going to make it through, but we insist on taking the wheel from God and try to steer our own lives. Today we unpack how to learn humbly, and let God have the ultimate control over our lives.
Jesus showed us in just 3 years of his “active” ministry what it means to love completely. The way he interacted with people showed that He was all in 100% of the time, and he was fully committed to his mission. If you had 30 days to live, what would change in your life with how you loved people? Would you hold anything back? What would you risk if you loved completely and were “All in?” Its risky, but is it worth it?
Our lives are full of activities, full of busyness, full of stress, full of anxiety, but are they fulfilling? Jesus said, “I've come that you might have life, life to the full.” He didn't say, “I've come that you might have a full schedule.” He said, “I've come that you might have a life to the full. I want you to experience true fulfillment.” because passion is often the difference between fulfillment and frustration. That train is not going to get through to get the medicine in. No other train is going to get through because that train is blocking the track. It would've been better if that train would've gone completely off the track and exploded so the track could be open for other trains to get through.

What would you do if you found out you only had 30 left to live? Would you go on a spending binge? Skydive? What would suddenly mean EVERYTHING to you, and what would suddenly mean NOTHING to you? If we look at Jesus, he KNEW when he had 30 days left to live, and we see that he did 4 things that we can put into practice today and live a life with no regrets! And the kicker, you don’t only need 30 days to do it!

That we leave is inevitable. How we leave is up to us. What kind of legacy will we leave behind? What benefit will our lives have served when this phase of our existence ends? What will we have done with what God has given us? Will we have seized...
Learning requires humility, an admission that we don’t know everything. Learning is not limited to formal classrooms. Kids can learn a lot through sports. The truth is that they learn as much through games lost as through games won. Loss do not...
We need to learn how to "Love Completely." That order is a lot taller than we are, so if that is to become a reality we have to lean on Jesus. His love was complete, leaving no one and no situation out. He knew that Judas would betray him, that...
Life can get totally busy. The calendar can be crowded. All of that can bring more stress and less joy and fulfillment. Then it’s so easy to just go through the motions, trying to get it all in. Life gets stuffed, but life may not be lived very...

Pastor Blake Andrews, Listen and share in this special sermon from our church from Sunday Morning November 17, 2013 from Pastor Blake Andrews.
Culture has changed dramatically over the past 60 years, and things seem to have been even more fast-forwarded over the last 10 years or so. There has been an explosion of entertainment, gaming, info, and communication options. With that explosion we find ourselves trying to assimilate a lot of data all of the time. In our effort to deal with this new life, we are often distracted, either by input-overload or simply out of an undisciplined, wandering mind. We are, in general, a very distracted people. We must concentrate on something that will give us focus when life is distracting, difficult and tragic. If we only have one month to live, and really we only have today, we must invest our time in the people in our lives in such a way that we leave an eternal legacy. The only thing that lasts that long is the work of the Gospel, and we must give it to all that we can while we can!
THuman beings were created to live in relationships with others. Our fallenness, our sin, complicates the issues involved in relationships and often serves to convince us that we don't really need relationships. For those of us that are Christ-followers we have been re-created to live in relationships. Not only to live in them, but to pursue Christ with the people that he has placed in our lives. If we only had one month to live, don't you think we'd spend more time on the precious relationships the Lord has placed in our lives? Wouldn't we make sure that they are as healthy and happy and God-honoring as possible? Invest your time wisely in the people in your life while you can- don't blink, because today's opportunities will be tomorrow's regrets!
Time is a constant companion for us during our existence on this planet. Its sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes forgotten, but its always there- moving and passing by, never to be seen again. We all think we'll have more time to get to that someday. We make plans for today and tomorrow working under the assumption that there is always more time. This betrays what is known as a "practical atheism" that doesn't speak life and light into a dark world's view of life nor does it do anything to guarantee the success of our plans. If you had one month to live, how would you change what you do with your time?
We don't like to think about death, but thinking about our inheritance doesn't bother us too much, does it? We like the idea that someone will leave us things, usually things of some great worth. Stocks, bonds, real estate, cars, houses, cash, jewelry- all things that we'd love to receive from our loved ones when they pass on. But how often do we think about what we'll leave behind? That probably bothers us quite a bit more because it causes us to think not only about our death but also about how we're living right now. Then, when we consider what we will really pass on to our loved ones it can get even more uncomfortable. We want to live a life that not only blesses people materially when we are gone but leaves them with something that matters, that is life-changing. Are you living a life of purpose? What is your legacy?
