Have you ever felt like you were stumbling through life, making the same mistakes repeatedly? In our new series, "Imperfect Heroes," Pastor Jay dives into the Book of Judges, illuminating how the ancient Israelites faced similar patterns of disobedience, consequences, and deliverance that still resonate today. As he explores how a generation rose up that “did not know the Lord,” he challenges us to reflect on our own spiritual journeys. With a poignant reminder that God is a just judge and a faithful deliverer, he invites everyone to recognize their need for His grace. This sermon speaks directly to our hearts, urging us to assess whether we allow Jesus to reign as King of our lives. In this heartfelt episode, Pastor Jay and Brandon take listeners on a deeply personal and spiritual journey through John 11, the story of Lazarus, while reflecting on the universal experience of grief. Why does Jesus delay when we need Him most? Why would a Savior who knows resurrection is coming still weep? And what does “I am the resurrection and the life” really mean, not just for eternity, but for today? This episode wrestles honestly with questions about God's timing, personal transformation, and the power of Christian community. It's about the moments when Jesus calls us to “come out” of whatever tomb we're stuck in and the people who help unwrap what's still holding us back.Engaging, emotional, and spiritually rich, this episode isn't just about Lazarus walking out of the grave. It's about how we do, too.Website: www.churchatviera.comEmail: sharinggrace@churchatviera.com

By engaging with our community and supporting the establishment of an Impact Center, we have the opportunity to breathe life into those around us. Are you feeling the weight of waiting for something that seems just out of reach? In this powerful sermon, Pastor Jay delves into the closing verses of Ephesians 3 and offers profound insights on finding hope even in the midst of uncertainty. He challenges us to shift our focus from our immediate circumstances to a deeper reliance on God, drawing from his own experiences of waiting and wavering in faith during difficult times. The message is clear: while waiting can often feel isolating and hard, it is also a transformative process where God is actively producing resilience, helping us abide in Him, and growing our faith in the process. Pastor Jay encourages the congregation to embrace the church community as a source of strength, emphasizing that we are not meant to journey alone. This sermon perfectly connects with our ongoing church initiatives aimed at fostering genuine relationships and support among members. By engaging with this message, you'll find practical encouragement to endure your own waiting seasons and discover the "Godportunities" in them. Don't miss out on this invitation to deepen your faith—watch or listen to this uplifting sermon today!

This message invites listeners to anchor their faith in the person of Christ, who alone leads us into relationship with God.
Are you feeling heartsick as you wait for God to come through in your life? As Pastor Jay launches the two-part sermon series "Hope in the Waiting," he invites us to rethink our expectations while we anticipate God's intervention. Using the powerful words of Isaiah 40:31, he reminds us that while we detest waiting, it's during these times of anticipation that our faith can be renewed. Through a deep dive into Ephesians 3:14-19, Pastor Jay articulates a poignant truth: true hope isn't just a feeling—it's rooted in knowing who we seek. Hope, defined as "expectation," calls us to place our faith in God, who is trustworthy and consistent in His love for us, even when our circumstances seem bleak. As Pastor Jay shares a personal testimony about grappling with faith amidst uncertainty, he emphasizes that our focus should be not on what we desire but on being strengthened, rooted, and grounded in love. “The Trouble With Camels”Mark 10:17-2717 As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. “Good teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”18 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone. 19 You know the commandments: ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, you shall not defraud, honor your father and mother.'”20 “Teacher,” he declared, “all these I have kept since I was a boy.”21 Jesus looked at him and loved him. “One thing you lack,” he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”22 At this the man's face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth.23 Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!”24 The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”26 The disciples were even more amazed, and said to each other, “Who then can be saved?”27 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”CONNECT WITH USIf you have any questions or would like to get to know us further, head over to https://www.triumphlbc.org/connect and fill out our online connection card.ABOUT TRIUMPHTriumph wants to see the life and message of Jesus transform your heart, home, and city. Pastor Jay focuses on the theme of wholeness in Jesus and addresses the question of whether God feels distant. He explains that while, apart from Christ, we are indeed separated from God, Jesus' sacrifice has removed this distance and reconciled us to the Father. Pastor Jay outlines two main problems that contribute to the perception of God's distance: failing to fully expose ourselves to Him and giving our devotion to other things instead of God. He encourages us to examine our lives, confess our struggles, and draw closer to God through prayer and community, emphasizing the importance of vulnerability and genuine relationship with Christ.
In this powerful message from John 5, Pastor Jay Austin challenges us to reflect on how we perceive Jesus by asking: “Have you ever been wrong about someone's identity?” Focusing on the story of the man healed at the Pool of Bethesda, Pastor Jay unpacks the compassion, authority, and divine identity of Jesus.Through the lens of this miraculous healing, we are reminded that Jesus sees and knows our struggles—our pain, addictions, disappointments, and sin—not with condemnation, but with deep compassion. As Jesus calls the man to rise and walk, Pastor Jay emphasizes that true healing comes not from tradition or performance, but from trusting in Jesus' mercy and power. The message concludes by answering the question, “Who is this man?”—revealing Jesus as the Healer, the Lord over the law, the Giver of life, and the Savior who offers eternal hope. We are invited to respond in faith: to rise from our paralysis, walk in obedience, and follow the way of Jesus with renewed purpose and holiness.
In part 2 of this study in Exodus, Pastor Jay digs into Deliverance. Deliverance for the Israelites, wasn't just God preparing the leaders. It was God preparing the people. And it wasn't until their cries turned toward God that everything changed.
If you've ever felt like you just want to be "Ordinary People", this episode is your wake-up call as Pastor Jay takes us on a powerful journey—from John Legend to Samson—to remind us that God didn't create you to be ordinary.Don't miss this one. Your calling is waiting!

“When You Can't Hold-Up Any Longer”Exodus 17:8-16 [ESV]8 Then Amalek came and fought with Israel at Rephidim. 9 So Moses said to Joshua, “Choose for us men, and go out and fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand.” 10 So Joshua did as Moses told him, and fought with Amalek, while Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. 11 Whenever Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed, and whenever he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed. 12 But Moses' hands grew weary, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it, while Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side. So his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. 13 And Joshua overwhelmed Amalek and his people with the sword.14 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this as a memorial in a book and recite it in the ears of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven.” 15 And Moses built an altar and called the name of it, The Lord Is My Banner, 16 saying, “A hand upon the throne[a] of the Lord! The Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.”CONNECT WITH USIf you have any questions or would like to get to know us further, head over to https://www.triumphlbc.org/connect and fill out our online connection card.ABOUT TRIUMPHTriumph wants to see the life and message of Jesus transform your heart, home, and city. “God On Trial”Exodus 17:1-7 [ESV]1 All the congregation of the people of Israel moved on from the wilderness of Sin by stages, according to the commandment of the Lord, and camped at Rephidim, but there was no water for the people to drink. 2 Therefore the people quarreled with Moses and said, “Give us water to drink.” And Moses said to them, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test the Lord?” 3 But the people thirsted there for water, and the people grumbled against Moses and said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?” 4 So Moses cried to the Lord, “What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me.” 5 And the Lord said to Moses, “Pass on before the people, taking with you some of the elders of Israel, and take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go. 6 Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb, and you shall strike the rock, and water shall come out of it, and the people will drink.” And Moses did so, in the sight of the elders of Israel. 7 And he called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the quarreling of the people of Israel, and because they tested the Lord by saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?”CONNECT WITH USIf you have any questions or would like to get to know us further, head over to https://www.triumphlbc.org/connect and fill out our online connection card.ABOUT TRIUMPHTriumph wants to see the life and message of Jesus transform your heart, home, and city. Proverbs 29:18 reminds us that without divine revelation, people live without restraint — doing what is right in their own eyes rather than following God's direction. We explore how our sinful nature often distorts our spiritual vision, leading us away from faith and into self-centered living. Pastor Jay emphasizes the urgency of the Great Commission, the calling to "go and make disciples," empowered by the Holy Spirit. Drawing from the parable of the talents, we are reminded that each of us will one day stand before Christ's judgment seat to account for how we stewarded the life and mission He entrusted to us. Are we living for our own plans, or are we fully invested in God's mission? Pastor Jay challenges us to examine our hearts, get ourselves out of the way, and commit fully to the eternal work of making disciples — the true evidence of a church living with vision.

Pastor Jay resumed our series on The Minor Prophets today with an exploration of the book of Joel. Covering all three chapters, we see how God used Joel to bring judgment to Israel but that this judgment was not without an option of escape and capacity for hope.
In today's message, Pastor Jay concluded the Easter theme with a reflection on being a "Walking Masterpiece," based on Ephesians 2:10, highlighting that we are God's workmanship created for good works. He emphasized that our identity in Christ transforms us into a masterpiece, countering cultural narratives that suggest we are created by chance without purpose. The sermon outlined key actions that reflect this identity, such as making disciples, reconciling others to God, living at peace, restoring fellow believers, and sharing hope. Ultimately, Pastor underscored that true transformation in our lives naturally leads to these good works, as they stem from our relationship with Jesus.
