These poems certainly represent a moment for me, in that I went through a phase writing these sorts of poems and don't really anyone. NIALL O’SULLIVAN hosts Poetry Unplugged, London’s longest running poetry open mic. He teaches poetry at London Metropolitan University, his main module being Poetry and Performance. He is currently working on a series of online posts that critically explore Spoken Word. He has published three books of poetry with flipped eye . He also edit other poets for the press.

At that time, I only hosted at Mahogany Urban Poetry Series every third Wednesday but two years ago I agreed to host Joe Montoya’s Poetry Unplugged every fourth Thursday at Luna’s Cafe. Open Mic Sketchbook was based on my time hosting at Mahogany but now that I’m hosting at two locations I thought of making Open Mic Sketchbook broader. Poet City is that concept.
