Virtual Reality evangelist Reverend Kyle joins the DTFH to spread the good news of the impending technological renaissance which will free all of us from the tyrannical constraints of analog reality. Also an appearance by the TEA CUP PIG!
Reverend Kyle is a man that requires very little introduction but for those who may not know him. He is the host of the Rev VR podcast, a member of the Road of VR team, the creator of the Oculus Rift experience called Teddy's vs. Landsharks and he even has his own cooking Show! On today's show we go deeper down the rabbit than we've ever gone before, come along as we discuss the impact of virtual reality on the world's religions, the role of the metaverse in the struggle of the rich vs. the poor, how to use VR to control humans and I uncover the meaning of life with Reverend Kyle. Also, Reverend Kyle challenges anyone to tell him why he should buy a 3D printer. Following on from last week's discussion about Oculus VR's Facebook acquisition, we are once again joined by Reverend Kyle to talk about some of the games we've been playing. Unsurprisingly, this includes some experimental VR titles such as Darknet, IO Moon and Asunder: Earthbound, before moving on to more conventional(?) fair such as The Stanley Parable, Titanfall and Assassin's Creed: Freedom Cry. There's also time for a quick visit to Rob's mobile slum, where The Room Two and Shadowblade get their dues. It's another game-focussed Game DumpCAST this week. There may have been a report from America in last week's sorry excuse for an episode, but this week we have an actual American on the show to discuss the acquisition of Oculus VR by Facebook. Reverend Kyle is the host of the Rev VR Podcast and part of the Road to VR team. He is possibly even more of a fan than our own Patrick, which is quite saying something, so it was a pleasure to have him on the show. Despite this being an especially VR heavy show, we also take the time to talk about some of the latest news out of Ubisoft, including the first information about the next Far Cry game, the multiple Assassin's Creed games due out later this year and our thoughts on the recent Watch Dogs footage that has begun to emerge in the run up to the game's May release date. All this and more on this week's Game DumpCAST!Find out more about Reverend Kyle's work at: http://www.reverendkyle.com/ and follow him on twitter @reverendkjrTo Check out other shows in the Collection visit:http://barkerpodcasts.webs.com Including TV DumpCAST: http://www.spreaker.com/show/tv_dumpcastAll views and opinions expressed in this podcast are solely those of The Game DumpCAST.
