In our thirtieth deployment of BungleTech, my spheroid self Michael will be running the show because my clanner co-host Nathan is away this month. But fortunately I am joined by our friend and frequent opponent Paul! A talented and well-traveled demo-agent who knows a thing or two about what it's like bringing new players into the game, and more importantly what kinds of bungles they make! Paul also shares with us a story of extremely rapid immolation on the battlefield and I will read a clip of the coolest ‘Mech jockey in the Old West. Two Girls one BIRD (and a Mech'd up Rivic) take on the horse girls in round 2. These horse girls are no show ponies and prove without a doubt why they advanced to round 2, but Poppy has a trick up her sleeve. ****Editors Note****In this episode we lost Johnny/Rivic audio about halfway through. We had to chop up the episode in order to not have long periods of silence but we did not want to scrap the episode. We apologize for the lack of quality this episode. Enough about Mobile Suits, let's talk Heavy Metals! The D.Sserd is, as best as I can tell, the GM of Heavy Metal L-Gaim. It's an old school Nagano design, which is another way of saying "awesome." We'll have to put off the L-Gaim itself for another time, but we do want to double back to it. That guy's cool too. You can find a video version of this podcast for free on Scanline Media's Patreon! The role of mobile armors in Gundam is always interesting. What does a machine gain by discarding its human-like form? It can indicate determination, or amorality, or y'know, all sorts of stuff. 00 definitely thinks using a mobile armor makes you a bad person. Don't you GN Arms me, those are attachments. Fighting gold! This Final Boss weirdo kinda shows up out of nowhere. But despite that, it's a pretty compelling design! Safe in the Shepherd's Hands | John 10:22-33 In a world filled with countless voices clamoring for our attention, one voice stands apart—clear, faithful, and comforting. Jesus promises, “My sheep hear my voice.” Unlike the fleeting calls that leave us lost and alone, His voice remains steadfast and unwavering. Death could not silence Him, and His ascension did not distance Him. Today, He speaks through His Word, proclaimed by His apostles and pastors, ensuring His sheep are never without His guidance. When we wander, bruised and breathless, He does not scold; instead, He rejoices and gently gathers us into His embrace. You are never abandoned to life's chaotic noise. Your Good Shepherd calls you personally, leading you beside still waters. Join us as we explore the profound assurance of being safely held in the hands of our Good Shepherd. Key Takeaways: Jesus' voice offers comfort, direction, and assurance. His promise ensures we are never alone or abandoned. Through His Word and Sacraments, Christ continually calls and cares for us.

As Dylan says, it's kinda wild we haven't covered this one already, but that's what happens when you live at the whim of the dice. The Den'an Zon may go even further with imperialist aesthetic than even the mobile suits of Zeon, but by focusing on a more German Empire WW1 thing, it ducks the Nazi comparison in favor of examining old world European aristocracy as aesthetic. It really looks like a mobile suit wearing a mobile armor like clothes, but apparently, it isn't. It's a weird face-lookin' machine with a smaller torso poking out of its mouth. A perfectly normal design for a normal machine from a normal show. Heck, the show's so normal they even call the base form of each gundam machine in it the "Normal!" Can't argue with that. Lukáš Senft v rozhovoru zmiňuje také svůj výzkumný projekt „Fytoterapie v době postindustriálního metabolismu: Biosociální zkoumání sběru, oběhu a užívání léčivých rostlin v Česku“ podpořený Programem podpory perspektivních lidských zdrojů – postdoktorandů (AV ČR). Podcastová série Na rozcestí vzniká v rámci výzkumného programu Identity ve světě válek a krizí, který je financován Akademií věd ČR v rámci Strategie AV 21. Do podcastu si zveme společenské vědce a vědkyně, jejichž výzkum se týká důležitých témat a problémů globalizujícího se světa. Tento díl moderoval Jiří Krejčík.

It feels like they've largely surrendered Iron-Blooded Orphans spinoff material to Ippei Gyoubu... not that I'm complaining. Well, yknow? I am complaining a little. Why does the "Double O Gundam" 's name have six 0s in it? Because that's not how anything works, I know, but it does bother me a little. The 00 is a weird machine. Not to look at it: it's actually very basic, almost painfully so. But the choices made with its armaments, its abilities, and the way it gets upgraded are a bit strange. Episode 315: “Everything I Ever Learned About TV Writing, I Learned From ‘The Facts Of Life' | Anupam Nigam”The Facts of Learning about Television Writing from The Facts of LifeThe Golden Girls of Eastland: TV Writer Anupam Nigam Shares His Lessons from The Facts Of LifeThe Golden Girls of Eastland: Top Lessons TV Writer Anupam Nigam Learned from The Facts Of Life For some people, a childhood spent lounging in front of the television leads to nothing but being sent to bed when Law and Order license plate comes on. But for Anupam Nigam, it led to a lifelong love of television – – and a successful career in TV writing and producing. And his favorite show of all? The Facts of Life! The Facts of Life was a spin-off of Diff'rent Strokes and aired on NBC from 1979-1988. The show starred Charlotte Rae as Eastland School for Girls housemother Edna Garrett watching over an evolving cast of young female stars including Kim Fields, Mindy Cohn, Nancy McKeon and a very young Molly Ringwald! It ran for more than 200 episodes, and spawned three TV movies. Anupam Nigam has written and produced episodes of hit TV shows like Psych, Defiance, Cruel Summer, Mech-X4 and Station 19. He is currently writer and co-executive producer of the hit CBS drama Fire Country. Susan and Sharon talk with Anupam about his childhood as an Indian American kid in New Jersey, his early love of television, the insight of The Facts of Life -- and the facts he learned that have stayed with him to this day. THE CONVERSATIONGROWING UP INDIAN -- IN NEW JERSEY: For Anupam, who was raised in an immigrant Indian household, television was a window into the wider world of “American” families - and how they were alike, and different from, his.“I'M NOT A DOCTOR, BUT I WRITE FOR THEM ON TV” -- Anupam was pre-med, a lab researcher, and even a certified EMT -- briefly -- before realizing that TV blood was more his style.Anupam's first script was a spec episode of Star Trek: Voyager -- and after that he was hooked.Anupam's “scientist mind” cracked the code on how to write a Law & Order script, and it led to a coveted spot in the Warner Bros Writers Program -- and then a big move to Hollywood! His first job was on The Division -- starring Facts of Life's Nancy McKeon!YOU TAKE THE GOOD, YOU TAKE THE VERY, VERY BAD: Anupam actually learned about the facts of life from the many “very special” episodes The Facts of Life: Abortion, divorce, drug abuse and death, anyone?Natalie was a natural STAR - When Charlotte Rae toured Westlake School for research, her young tour guide was… Mindy Cohn. Charlotte insisted the producers meet her and the role of Natalie was created for her! Those roller-skates? Tootie had to wear them to make her taller!CHEAPER BY THE… TEN? The original first season cast had TEN main characters - The seven girls, Mrs. Garett (Charlotte Rae), teacher Emily Mahoney (Jenny O'Hara) and Headmaster Stephen Bradley (played by John Lawlor). The OG Eastlake students: Blair Warner (Lisa Whelchel), Nancy Olsen (Felice Schachter), Sue Anne Weaver (Julie Piekarski), Tootie Ramsey (Kim Fields), Molly Parker (Molly Ringwald), Cindy Webster (Julie Anne Haddock) and Natalie Green (Mindy Cohn).…AND THEN THERE WERE FOUR. After season one, the young cast was cut from seven girls down to the “Core Four”: Lisa Whelchel as Blair, Kim Fields as Tootie, Mindy Cohn as Natalie and bringing on newcomer Nancy McKeon as Jo Polniaczek. So, join Susan and Sharon -- and Anupam! -- as they talk Shondaland, The Golden Girls, shoulder pads, tea-time, Jermaine Jackson, Mech x4, Geri Jewel, Entertainment Weekly -- and “Who Shot J.R?”! Truly high quality design is timeless... but that doesn't mean it's AGEless. Mobile Suit Gundam AGE is a widely reviled entry in the beloved series, and while I'm not here to argue that its plot and characters are any good, I am here to tell you that Kanetake Ebikawa knows how to f---in' cook. It's just wild to think they'd do Leif Erikson, you know? Unless Dylan and I are like missing some famous Leif from history, some hero. It's a shame the comic gives no context for this character- or almost anything, really. It's barely better than storyboards, it's such a minimal thing. You can tell that covid just obliterated their plans for a show, but they didn't want to admit that so they pretended it was always supposed to be this crappy little comic.... YUH 195 is another "Writers on Record", and this time we are taling with author Jane Sharpe. Jane's husband had a deviated syptum, and after successful surgery a fortunate result was discovered. He was no long allergic to cats. Jane and her family are now home to five furry friends, and she has translated her love of felines into her new children's book... "Winston The Cat in a Mech Suit". In the book Winston allegorically demonstrates how much cats actually do to enrich our lives. #drseuss #tooncesthedrivingcat #homeschool #childrensbooks #cats #catvideosYUH Theme by David T and Mojo 3https://www.amazon.com/Insanity-SobrityWinston The Cat with a Mech Suit on Amazonhttps://www.amazon.com/Winston-Mech-Suit-Janes-Collection/dp/B0DLKBTQY7Interview with Jane at paxjones.comhttps://paxjones.com/featured/jane-sharpes-new-book-winston-the-cat-with-a-mech-suit-is-perfect-for-young-readers/Yeah Uh Huh Social Stuff:Yeah Uh Huh on TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@yeahuhhuhpodYeah Uh Huh on Facebookhttps://facebook.com/YeahUhHuhPodYeah Uh Huh on Twitterhttps://twitter.com/YeahUhHuhPodYeah Uh Huh on Spotifyhttps://open.spotify.com/show/7pS9l716ljEQLeMMxwihoS?si=27bd15fb26ed46aaYeah Uh Huh on Apple Podcastshttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/yeah-uh-huh/id1565097611Yeah Uh Huh Website:https://yeah-uh-huh.wixsite.com/yeahuhhuhpod
In this episode, we chat with Spencer Cole, CDO and CFO of Xanadu Mines, a copper exploration company with projects in the South Gobi and Western Mongolia. They aim to develop porphyry and intrusion-related deposits and are committed to Mongolia and its potential as one of the last great copper frontiers. Spencer has qualification in Mech and Material Eng (BS), Business & Finance (MBA), Finance (CPA) and has worked in various industries including mining, aerospace, Oil & Gas across the Americas, Australia, and SE Asia. He’s been with Xanadu for coming up to 5 years now and gives us an overview of the company, their flagship project Kharmagtai and will educate us more on the Lassonde Curve and how that has an impact on the company plus much more. KEY TAKEAWAYS Xanadu Mines is an ASX and TSX-listed exploration company focused on copper and gold in Mongolia, with its flagship project, Kharmagtai, currently at the Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) stage. The company has transitioned from coal exploration to copper and gold since 2013-2014. The Lassonde curve illustrates the typical life cycle of a junior mining company, showing how market capitalisation fluctuates through different stages of project development. Xanadu's journey reflects this curve, having experienced peaks and troughs as it moved from exploration to commercialisation. Hermagti faces challenges such as funding, permitting, and the need to identify high-grade zones to minimise negative cash flow. However, opportunities exist in the form of potential sequential heap leaching of weathered deposits and the possibility of expanding the resource through further drilling. Zijin Mining, a top global copper and gold miner, has partnered with Xanadu to advance the Kharmagtai project. This partnership is seen as beneficial due to Zijin's experience in advanced metallurgy and their aggressive growth model, which aligns with Xanadu's goals. Over the next 6 to 12 months, Xanadu aims to complete a bankable feasibility study for Kharmagtai and navigate the Mongolian permitting process. The company is also exploring funding options and planning further exploration activities for its other projects, Sant. Tolgoi and Red Mountain. BEST MOMENTS "Xanadu is an ASX and TSX, so dual listed exploration company... focused on copper and gold in Mongolia." "The Lassonde curve illustrates the typical life cycle of a junior mining company, showing its market capitalisation over the different stages of development." "Kharmagtai is a big, low-grade copper-gold porphyry. Its economics work on scale, low strip ratio, and byproduct credits." "Zijin is a top five copper miner... they have a very aggressive growth model and are really experienced at building value through advanced metallurgy." As Dylan argues on this ep, life on Earth is owed to the sun. So why has it taken us so long to make decent cars that use the sun? Sure, this is terrible logic that doesn't follow at all. But also I feel like I should own a solar car by now. Well, let's look at some really impractical ones- solar RACE cars. They're pretty cool, even if they look like cuts of salmon. X Dive is an- ahem, sorry. X DiVE is an interesting image of what Mega Man design might look like if the series had been continued to the current day. We spend a lot of both of these episodes talking about how the designs from the X series of games are so bad, but they cover a pretty specific period of time, and reflect the aesthetics of that era. Kind of. Frankly there was good design back then too, and I'm just making excuses. You can find a video version of this podcast for free on Scanline Media's Patreon!
