Friend of the show and fellow podcaster Scott Thrower joins me to talk about some of his favorite fandoms. We first reminisce about Xena: Warrior Princess and our experiences with that show. Then, Scott drops some hot takes about the Alien franchise. Then we discuss the popular video game, Dead by Daylight. Lastly, Scott talks about how he created the Fairy Tales for Unwanted Children podcast and books that followed, along with his Arcane History book series. We are joined by Leigh Cameron and Scott Thrower to talk about The Map of Tiny Perfect Things, a cute movie with a cumbersome title. Scott uses my podcast to propose to a stranger, vastly overestimating the reach of this podcast. Brought to you By: The Sonar Network

I'm joined by Kyle Scott and Scott Thrower to watch Angels in the Outfield (1994). A film where it is clear that God and Angels exist, but are probably either evil or capricious.

Brilliantly Easy, Stupidly Difficult is a podcast about the choices we make, and the lives we end up living. Join Robbie Dale as he negotiates a specially curated 9others dinner to explore how the choices we make at work, at home - at all - can be the difference between relief and regret. In this episode Robbie cons his parents, channels Hunter S. Thompson and realises he's spent his entire life asking the wrong questions. Written and presented by Robbie Dale, writer, snoozer and co-founder of Today Do This. Guests, Matthew Stafford and Katie Lewis, co-founders of 9others. Hunter S. Thompson's words read by Scott Thrower.
"That plane; the entire project; the mission was a Purdue mission. If it's ever recovered, it belongs to us." Normally, I start each part of the show by telling you where I’m at. Tonight, I just can’t do that. My location has to remain unknown except for this. I’m somewhere in the northwest. A tease I know but I had to make a promise to the people that let me come here that for now, it would remain anonymous. In the first four parts of this series, we’ve covered a lot of ground. And I’ve promised you that all of this information we’ve covered is going to tie in. Tonight, it starts to do just that. In just a few short years, Amelia Earhart has become a household name. She’s reached the zenith of her popularity and at this point, she’s nearly at icon status. That’s arguable. In 1935, just under two short years before she would vanish into thin air, she began an unlikely partnership with Purdue University. This was an aspect of her life that she had been waiting for; a chance to get in on the ground floor and directly influence the women of the time. AE relished her short time there, and as we’ll learn tonight, she looked forward to expanding that role when she returned from the world flight. Tonight, we take you back to 1935 and West Lafayette Indiana to discuss “the start of something new” for Amelia Earhart. Something started, that unfortunately for her, and us was never finished. SHOW NOTES Purdue University's official website (https://www.purdue.edu/) . The Amelia Earhart Collection (http://collections.lib.purdue.edu/aearhart/index.php) at the Purdue Archives. "Vanished: Amelia Earhart" was recorded in its entirety by the Zoom H1N microphone. Get yours here. (https://www.zoom.co.jp/products/field-video-recording/field-recording/h1n-handy-recorder) A special thank you to Scott Thrower from the "Fairy Tales for Unwanted Children" (https://www.periodically.ca/) podcast for recording tonight's exit script.
This week, Jeremy talks to Scott Thrower, host of Fairy Tales for Unwanted Children. Scott writes dark and disturbing fairy tales for adults. Think Mary Poppins meets the Twilight Zone!

The panel breaks down the wish from every angle while trying to come up with the perfect ironic cost. In this episode, we are joined by Scott Thrower and Kat Letwin to discuss a wish about bringing literary characters to life so we can marry them. The discussion that follows serves as an intervention of our choices both in reading and loving. Brought to you By: The Sonar Network
