Smithsonian Secretary Lonnie G. Bunch III has spent a lifetime thinking about how history gets told. Before becoming the head of the Smithsonian, he was a curator, someone whose job is deciding which stories, people, and objects help us make sense of ourselves. So as America approaches its 250th birthday, Lizzie wanted to know: if you had to tell the story of the United States through just a handful of things, where would you begin? In this special episode, Secretary Bunch puts his curator hat back on to lead Lizzie through American Aspirations, a new exhibition he co-curated. Starting with the desk on which the Declaration of Independence was drafted, they get up close with some of the nation's most treasured objects: Abraham Lincoln campaign swag, Amelia Earhart's flight suit, Thomas Edison's light bulb, and even a miniature Statue of Liberty (which is still pretty big!). What can these objects reveal about a nation still striving to become its best self?Guest: Lonnie G. Bunch III, Secretary of the Smithsonian InstitutionThe American Aspirations exhibition at the Smithsonian Castle was co-curated by Smithsonian Secretary Bunch — alongside Abeer Saha, curator at the National Museum of American History, and Harry Rubenstein, curator emeritus at the National Museum of American History.American Aspirations received support from Jacqueline B. Mars and the Smithsonian's Our Shared Future: 250, a Smithsonian-wide initiative commemorating the nation's 250th. Major support for Our Shared Future: 250 has been provided by Lilly Endowment Inc. Rachel Hartigan: What Amelia Earhart knew about not explaining yourself

Picture this: a remote coral atoll in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Brutal heat. Cadaver dogs. Archaeologists on their knees sifting through debris, because on this island, coral looks almost identical to bone. And one journalist sitting quietly with her notebook, watching it all unfold — asking the question everyone there is trying to answer: what really happened to Amelia Earhart? That journalist is our guest today. In this episode of Legendary Leaders, host Cathleen O'Sullivan is joined by Rachel Hartigan, who spent 12 years at National Geographic as a writer, reporter and editor, covering everything from the genetics of persimmon trees to the long road to women's suffrage. Before that, she edited the Washington Post's Book World section. She is not the swashbuckling type who dives into underwater pyramids in Sudan. But she has done something arguably harder: she spent years going deep, really deep, into one of history's most enduring mysteries, returning to that Pacific Island not once, but twice. The result is her debut book, Lost: Amelia Earhart's Three Mysterious Deaths and One Extraordinary Life. Rachel and Cathleen explore all three main theories of what happened to Earhart: did she crash into the ocean, die as a castaway on a remote island, or end up in Japanese custody? But what grabbed Cathleen most when she started reading Rachel's book wasn't the mystery. It was the woman herself. Earhart was someone who refused to over explain herself, who did bold and unconventional things simply because they felt right - not to make a point, not to be a rebel, but because her inner compass said so. In an era when women were expected to fit a very particular mould, she didn't. And there is a lesson in that which feels incredibly alive right now. They also talk about what it actually means to be an introvert who built a career on asking strangers the hardest questions. Rachel still dreads picking up the phone before a difficult call and makes it anyway. She separates her anxiety from her ability, which is honestly one of the cleanest pieces of self-awareness you'll hear in a long time. They talk about leaving National Geographic after 12 years, a place that wasn't just a job but a full identity, in the middle of grief, exhaustion and a book deadline. And they talk about what the people still searching for Earhart, some of them obsessive, some willing to upend their entire lives to sail to a remote island, can teach us about the very human need to find answers. Rachel Hartigan is someone who can explain dolphin brains and deep ocean mysteries and make both feel completely alive. We think you're going to love this one.   Episode timeline: 00:01:09 Introducing Rachel Hartigan and the Earhart mystery 00:05:42 Rachel's early life, introversion and career challenges 00:14:49 Managing anxiety, building strategies and proving reliability 00:22:54 Leaving National Geographic: identity and decision 00:26:00 Balancing book writing with full time work 00:34:25 Media trust, bias and information verification 00:44:39 Three competing theories of Earhart's disappearance 00:51:09 Earhart's early adventures and determination 00:56:23 Family influences and personal independence 00:59:04 Authenticity vs rebel image and misconceptions 01:06:33 Rachel's adventures and expedition experiences 01:10:06 Challenges, empathy and family impact Key takeaways: Your anxiety and your ability are two different things: Rachel still dreads making a hard phone call before every single one and makes it anyway. Separating the nervous feeling from the actual skill is what lets her keep doing work that scares her. Not explaining yourself is a form of power: Earhart never justified her choices with a cause or a point to prove. She did things for the fun of it. Rachel calls this the lesson that has stuck with her the longest, and the one women still find hardest to claim. Reliability opens doors you didn't apply for: Rachel built a reputation as someone who could do anything thrown at her, long stories, short stories, dense science, tricky edits. That reputation, not a special qualification, is why she was asked to join the expedition that became her book. Sometimes you have to choose the thing that isn't the smart financial decision: Leaving a 12-year identity in the middle of grief, exhaustion and a deadline wasn't strategic. It was necessary. Rachel calls it one of the hardest and most important choices she's made. Empathy for the obsessive searcher is empathy for the human need to know: People still searching for Earhart nearly 90 years on aren't irrational. Rachel argues the urge to find an answer, however unlikely the odds, is one of the most human impulses there is.   Connect with Rachel Hartigan: Website: https://rachelhartiganauthor.com Book: Lost, available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Bookshop.org and at rachelhartiganauthor.com   Connect with Cathleen O'Sullivan:  Business: https://cathleenosullivan.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/cathleen-osullivan/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/legendary_leaders_cathleenos/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@LegendaryLeaderswithCathleenOS FOLLOW LEGENDARY LEADERS ON APPLE, SPOTIFY OR WHEREVER YOU LISTEN TO YOUR PODCASTS.

Send us Fan MailFew figures loom larger in aviation history than Amelia Earhart. Yet after hundreds of books, countless documentaries, and nearly a century of speculation, how much do we actually know about the woman behind the legend? In this episode, Laurie Gwen Shapiro talks about her bestselling book, The Aviator and the Showman. Drawing on newly digitized interviews, archival discoveries, and years of research, Laurie argues that the real mystery of Amelia Earhart isn't what happened to her at the end of her final flight—it's understanding who she was as a person. We explore Earhart's journey from social worker and hobby pilot to international celebrity, the complicated role publisher and promoter George Palmer Putnam played in her fame, and the tension between aviation skill, public image, and advocacy. We also discuss the extraordinary ways Earhart used her platform to champion both aviation and women's rights.Along the way, we venture into the world of some of Earhart's remarkable contemporaries, including Eleanor Smith, Louise Thaden, Lady Mary Heath, Bessie Coleman, and Jackie Cochran. We also talk about the challenges—and rewards—of writing history that is deeply researched, rigorously sourced, and unafraid to embrace the complexity of its subjects.Whether you're a lifelong Amelia Earhart enthusiast or someone who has wondered why she continues to captivate the public imagination nearly a century later, I think you'll find this conversation both thought-provoking and illuminating. And if you're a writer hoping to dig into a different historical mystery, you'll learn from Laurie's expertise as an author, journalist, and professor of journalism. Buy the book: https://literaryaviatrix.com/book/the-aviator-and-the-showman/Some links we discuss in the episode: NASM Amelia Earhart Project Recordings: https://sirismm.si.edu/EADpdfs/NASM.2020.0025.pdfArchive Grid: https://researchworks.oclc.org/archivegrid/Book Finder: https://www.bookfinder.comDid you know you can support your local independent bookshop and me by shopping through my Bookshop.org affiliate links on my website? After making it most of the way around the world, on July 2, 1937, they disappeared someplace in the Pacific Ocean. Find out what most likely happened.

What is (considered, presented as) the highest aspiration of an American – indeed, of mankind…? And, if confronted with the truth, would we heed the warning…? The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, [is] from the LORD. All the ways of a man [are] clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits. Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. The LORD hath made all [things] for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. Every one [that is] proud in heart [is] an abomination to the LORD: [though] hand [join] in hand, he shall not be unpunished. By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD [men] depart from evil. When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. Better [is] a little with righteousness than great revenues without right. A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. — Proverbs 16:1-9 KJV Links Videos / Clips [x] = Played Angel and the Badman FULL MOVIE John Wayne – YouTube [x] [22:56–23:49] Inside the Awkward U.S.-Saudi Alliance Against ISIS | Confronting ISIS | FRONTLINE – YouTube The Rest [x] = Mentioned / Discussed [x] Proverbs 16 (KJV) – The preparations of the heart [x] Dystheism – Wikipedia [x] Misotheism – Wikipedia [x] Philippians 2 (KJV) – If [there be] therefore any [x] Romans 5 (KJV) – For when we were yet [x] Donald Trump, Trickster God | The Baffler [x] Matthew 4 (KJV) – Then was Jesus led up [x] Martin Luther King Jr. Day – Wikipedia [x] Martin Luther King Jr. – Wikipedia [x] A More Perfect Union: Rev. Those cities include New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Francisco international hubs. In a recent congressional hearing, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said, “We shouldn't shut down air travel in a state that doesn't agree with our politics.” Airlines and business groups warn of chaos if US restricts international flights In a joint statement, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Airlines for America, the National Retail Federation, U.S. Travel, and other groups said the move “threatens to cause unnecessary chaos throughout the nation’s air transportation system.” “Any reduction in Customs and Border Protection operations at major U.S. gateway airports threatens to cause unnecessary chaos throughout the nation's air transportation system. International aviation networks are highly interconnected, and operational changes at a small number of gateway airports will quickly ripple across the country, negatively impacting travelers, cargo shipments, supply chains, and the communities that depend on those connections. Airports and airlines rely on stable, predictable federal inspection services to keep people and commerce moving safely and efficiently. We urge DHS to avoid actions that would create unnecessary operational and economic consequences for communities nationwide. As the United States prepares for growing international travel demand, DHS should avoid actions that would create unnecessary bottlenecks and economic consequences for communities across the country. Now is the time to strengthen America's gateway infrastructure, not weaken it.” See also, Airlines urge Trump administration not to curb international flights in feud over ‘sanctuary cities' Eclipse Aero Says It Has about 3 Years of Parts in Stock Eclipse supplier Resurgent Aviation Solutions (RAS) says on its webpage that the company “has elected to wind down all business operations and liquidate all remaining assets. Send us Fan MailWhat happens when a family scrapbook opens a door into a forgotten chapter of aviation history?Author Cindy Weigand never intended to become a historian of women in aviation. While sorting through her late mother's belongings, she discovered scrapbooks and newspaper clippings connected to her great-uncle Jack, a barnstormer of the 1920s. What began as a family history project soon became a deep dive into the remarkable women pilots who shared the skies during aviation's Golden Age. In this conversation, Cindy and I discuss her novel Mavis Perkins: Flying Journalist, a work of historical fiction inspired by the real women aviators of the 1920s. Together we explore the world of barnstormers, air races, flying clubs, Billy Mitchell's controversial warnings about air power, and the women who flew alongside Amelia Earhart whose stories are rarely told today. The conversation also touches on Cindy's earlier work documenting Texas women who served during World War II, the challenges of historical research, self-publishing, and her efforts to adapt these stories for film.If this history piques your interest, you might enjoy my Aviatrix Classics discussions with Dr. Jacque Boyd and Captain Jenny Beatty. The Rizzuto Show rolls into another beautifully dysfunctional episode packed with celebrity chaos, St. Louis nostalgia, weird history facts, and enough Macho Man Randy Savage impressions to legally qualify as a wrestling convention. This funny podcast somehow begins with the triumphant return of BB's Jazz, Blues & Soups — the iconic St. Louis music venue where apparently the ideal evening consists of listening to blues while aggressively eating soup. Honestly? Sounds incredible. From there, things immediately derail in the most Rizz Show way possible. The crew dives into bizarre “Today in History” moments featuring Amelia Earhart, tornadoes hitting the same town repeatedly, Peter Cetera getting punched for having long hair, and a deeply cursed conversation about Lern's childhood memories involving Chicago songs and her mom's questionable road trip playlist decisions. Somewhere in there, the entire show accidentally becomes a therapy session nobody asked for.The celebrity chaos doesn't stop there. MGK and Yungblud continue their pop-punk feud like two emotionally exhausted raccoons fighting over leftover eyeliner. Travis Barker's documentary gets discussed. Kiefer Sutherland's tour struggles become weirdly emotional. Keanu Reeves' band Dogstar surprisingly earns approval from the crew. And the gang debates whether meeting Willie Nelson or Keanu Reeves would be the superior life experience. That's the kind of impossible philosophical question only this funny podcast is brave enough to tackle.Meanwhile, California wildfires threaten celebrity neighborhoods, South Park prepares for another season of social destruction, and the Masters of the Universe movie sparks heated debate over Jared Leto's Skeletor voice. Moon just wants to feel like a kid again. Rizz refuses to let the Jared Leto conversation become “The Jared Leto Show.” Balance is restored. Then the show takes another hard turn into old Hollywood myths, Wizard of Oz conspiracies, drunk Munchkin stories, Rick & Morty drama, and celebrity birthdays before wrapping everything up with a porno birthday segment that somehow manages to be both horrifying and educational. Sort of.This episode is peak funny podcast energy: sarcastic humor, celebrity nonsense, weird news, nostalgia, music talk, and total emotional whiplash from start to finish. This episode covers: What most people don't know about Amelia Earhart's life and upbringing The role of ambition and why she didn't feel the need to justify it How imperfection and missed skills shaped her story Why we focus on her disappearance instead of her life What conspiracy theories reveal about human nature and control The pressure women face to be perfect, certain, or “ready” before taking risks How stepping outside your comfort zone builds confidence and clarity This is a thoughtful, honest conversation about identity, courage, and what it really means to pursue what you want. I went through four different interviews with #AmeliaEarhat #amelia #earhart over the past few years - dating back to 2022 - before the book SHE WAS NEVER LOST: THE AMELIA EARHART SAGA was published. In these clips- Amelia references things that Jennifer doesn't know, couldn't know - including a citation from a sentence in the book (which I then read for the audience) where Amelia from the Flipside, is saying that it's important for the audience to hear. Our loved ones don't die. I'm sorry that's what the research, data, footage shows. Amelia Earhart knew where she was - she was never lost. The US military knew where she was, they found her plane on June 18, 1944. I've done four decades of dedicated research - I'm listed in the credits of both Diane Keaton's version and Hilary Swank's version - both didn't tell her story. We have. From her point of view. There were many secrets in her life. They're all in the book. The book is available at Amazon in Kindle, Audible, Paperback and Hardcover. It will soon be at Barnes and Noble as well. If you have a curiosity about her - the book reveals who she was, in her own words. Not only her poetry, but her life and journey - and she deserves to be honored for her sacrifice. She never has been honored in this way. She was never lost. The US knew she was on Saipan. The Japanese incarcerated her. She knew where she was. Now the world gets to know. #amelia #ameliaearhart, #electra, #electraheart, #saipan, #WWII, #USMarines, #veterans,

Another fun conversation with folks on the Flipside. In this, Luana Anders, our moderator on the Flipside wants to discuss a dream that I had recently where I was on one side of a door with my brother, both of us trying to get it open - and on the other side I could hear my mom's voice. As I awoke, I recognized the door. It's the same door that was mentioned a few weeks ago during a podcast, and I asked my friend on the flipside about this door - and her message to me was "let it go." Which I did.  But the dream made me reach out to the folks who have this door - and sending a text message about the dream prompted a reply that said "your family can come and retrieve the door if they want to." When I awoke from the dream about the door - I was thinking about the metaphor. It was the last remaining piece from the house I grew up in, that our father the Architect designed and built for his family - and that door has every person's name and a date who crossed into our threshold.  Hundreds of names of people - old girlfriends, (we were four boys) but also wives, children, grandchildren, their pets - all stood against the door while my dad marked their height and the date they were there. Luana is on the door. Multiple times. My parents, my brothers, their families - our dog Sam - all on the door. And the reason that came to me after the dream is that this door represents a kind of Akashic library - retaining the time signature, the frame of time when that person stood against the door - had themselves measured, the time and place dated.  Many of the names on the door have left the stage - but they - like all of our loved ones - still exist outside of time as we understand it.  They're available - all of them - because that floppy disk of who we are has the mathematics of the time frame imbedded in that door... so to speak. Like a photograph - or a video - but in ways different, perhaps more fun, because we can see the handwriting of the person who wrote their name, signed their name, wrote the date - on the door. And now it's in my brother's garage.  He sent me a photo of it the other day - and there they are, all of them, our friends, pals, lovers, relatives, comedy giants, musicians - all of them on that one door. That I thought was gone. But it is not. And this week I'm editing a "best of Amelia Earhart" so I invited Amelia to stop by and weigh in - and she talked about the crew we all have. The team on the flipside. Our teachers, our guides, our classmates, our higher selves, our council members - all participate in our journey, but are like a plane's mechanics... each bolt, each oil drop, each gear and mesh is related to a safe flight. We are never alone in the air with our plane - we have all these folks on the ground who did their job that got us airborne. I used the metaphor of a football team - guards and tackles, linebackers, halfbacks, quarterbacks - and the coaches and men and women behind the team - who design the plays, watch the footage - all of them are involved in each and every play. It's a bit like what the astronaut said the other day when someone asked her about what constitutes a crew or a team - and she started to talk about what a good crew means, and realized somewhere in that thought that everyone on Earth is part of that same crew. The crew that keeps our planet going forward. Sorry I didn't mention it on the podcast, but I'm mentioning it now. Be kind to everyone.

I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to do a podcast this week (we did, it's posted) - so I put together a few (four) different interviews where we "spoke to Jesus." Now, for those who find that problematic, in the book HACKING THE AFTERLIFE there is a transcript of my first conversation with Jennifer Shaffer - my first interview with her.  And three people came forward that day - AMELIA EARHART (transcripts are in the book SHE WAS NEVER LOST; THE AMELIA EARHART SAGA) who confirmed the three decades of research I'd already done about her disappearance - then BILL PAXTON my old pal who confirmed details that only he could know (and became the basis for the doc TALKING TO BILL PAXTON on amazon prime or Gaia) and finally, an appearance by the alpha and omega. I had filmed some people seeing him before (as reported in the film and book FLIPSIDE; MY JOURNEY INTO THE AFTERLIFE) and since then, Jesus has shown up so many times in so many interviews, so many hypnotherapy sessions, guided meditations and mediumship conversations (with different mediums) - that the former head of Paramount studios asked me to share those interview in book form. THE GREATEST STORY NEVER TOLD AS TOLD BY JESUS AND THOSE WHO KNEW HIM. If one takes a look at that book they'll see that this is not a religious belief, religious theory, or opinion that Jesus is available. He shows up often in the research, and repeatedly says things contrary to the Bible. He says "All religions point to the same garden." He says "The bible is metaphor. If the quote doesn't include unconditional love, then I didn't say it." He says "You don't have to follow me but let me walk beside you as we walk each other home." He tells an alternate version of his life - and when asked why has said more than once "It's not alternate if it's true." I can't see or hear him. (Jennifer can or the mediums can or the people doing a guided meditation can, or the 15% of NDE's who see him can).  The people I'm talking to can - and like Jennifer in this conversation - which occurred over a number of years, I think going back six years based on the equipment being used.   But this is an excerpt of four conversations with Jesus.   I watched an interview with him and the medium Rebecca Fantl yesterday - and he says the same things there as well, says the same things with Kimberly Babcock (which is on this page) says the same things to Jamie Butler (two interviews on this podcast with Jesus via Jamie.) I post this in honor of him, not to be controversial.  He still exists. And he says repeatedly, if you have an open heart he can speak to, communicate, answer questions for anyone. That's not my opinion, not a theory - not a belief. In 20 years of filming people seeing him, he says the same things over and over and over. Not that one should follow the Good Book - or claim that by following him they're better than others - or that he died on the cross for their sins.  That, according to him and the friends that knew him - happened differently - no less powerful because it turns out he's the only person on the planet who survived that ordeal. But let him be heard in his own words. Happy Easter. He is Risen - because he never left. The Second Coming is the realization that he never left  and that all of our loved ones still exist - and are accessible, available and can help us out of whatever conflicts or problems we put ourselves into. Jesus... or Yeshua, or Esiah (as his friends report they knew him as Essie, or the way he's known in the region as Issa and in the Qur'an as Issa) in his own words. Hope this helps someone!

Trump's big play about “ordering” the release of the Amelia Earhart files feels less like leadership and more like trolling the American people. Nobody in 2025 is lying awake at night desperate to know what happened to Earhart, yet here he is, selling it like a major breakthrough while the real files that matter—the Epstein files—stay buried under lock and key. It's the same old distraction tactic: dangle something shiny and harmless in one hand while hiding the real truth in the other. And the worst part is, he acts like we're supposed to thank him for it, as if this stunt actually addresses the corruption, cover-ups, and rot everyone can see clear as day. It's the political equivalent of that line from Pawn Stars, when Rick looks someone in the eye and says, “Best I can do is…” Except here, it's Trump saying: “Best I can do is Earhart files, fully unredacted.” Meanwhile, the Epstein files—the ones with names, connections, and accountability—are treated like they're untouchable. It's not that he can't release them; it's that he won't. And that tells you everything you need to know about where the priorities really are.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Send us Fan MailIn this episode, we are joined by Laurie Gwen Shapiro, a bestselling author, journalist, and adjunct professor at NYU's Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute. A member of the Explorers Club, her writing has appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, and The New York Times. She is the author of The Stowaway, the true story of a teenager who stowed away on a ship bound for Antarctica during the Jazz Age, and The Aviator and the Showman: Amelia Earhart, George Putnam, and the Marriage that Made an American Icon, a New York Times Editors' Choice and one of the best books of the year by NPR, The New Yorker, and Smithsonian Magazine. But before our conversation with Laurie, we set the stage, because the Amelia Earhart story is deeply a Pan Am story. On January 9, 1929, three defining figures of the aviation age stood on the tarmac of Pan Am's new Miami terminal, Juan Trippe, Charles Lindbergh, and Amelia Earhart. Trippe invited Earhart aboard Pan Am's Fokker F-10A, captained by Edwin Musick, for the inaugural flight to Havana. At the center of that relationship was Fred Noonan, Pan Am's greatest navigator, who charted the transpacific routes. When Earhart assembled her team in 1937, Noonan was the navigator every conversation kept returning to. Trippe extended Pan Am's full cooperation, and Pan Am mechanics spent a week on her Lockheed Electra in Miami. On July 2, 1937, Earhart and Noonan departed Lae, New Guinea, bound for Howland Island - 2,556 miles of open ocean...and vanished. This episode also features rare archival audio from the Elgen and Marie Long oral history collection...aired publicly for the first time. Their 220-plus hours of recordings are preserved at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum as the Amelia Earhart Project Recordings. Among those voices is Pan Am's Harry Canaday, recorded in 1985 at age 76, reflecting on Noonan, the Pacific survey flights, and the world that produced the Earhart flight. These recordings are presented courtesy of David Jourdan of Nauticos and the Smithsonian Institution's Amelia Earhart Project.Support the showVisit Us for more Pan Am History! Support the Podcast!Donate to the Museum!Visit The Hangar online store for Pan Am gear!Become a Member! Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!A very special thanks to Mr. Adam Aron, Chairman and CEO of AMC and president of the Pan Am Historical Foundation and  Pan Am Brands for their continued and unwavering support!

Hey HBs! It's time for part 2! When we left you yesterday, our bloodthirsty baddies had just had sex for the first time while Nolan was super high on magic mushrooms that Harper slipped him. She told him to fuck her like he hates her and boy did he deliver. Now, he's crossed the emotional Rubicon and is ready to worship at her feet. Meanwhile, she coyote-uglied her way out of there as fast as possible and doesn't quite know what to do with herself. That's where we're jumping in! TW: depictions of caring for an elder loved one with dementia/Alzheimer's. Oh and, like, brutal murder, drowning, dismemberment, and more. Look, man, it's a Brynn Weaver book. Bonus Content: he's her Lancelot now and she's not getting the memo, tempting fate with an Amelia Earhart theme, preserving your crush in their greatest form, and so much more! Lady Loves: Sabrina: Real life connections. They'll be there for you every time. Mel: get your government documents in order! If you can, get an official copy of your birth certificate, get or update your passport, and CALL YOUR SENATOR and tell them to vote NO on this bullshit "Save America" act that's being pushed right now. The congressional switchboard is (202) 224-3121. This bill gets rid of mail-in voting, it requires people to register to vote IN PERSON, and they will have to provide "proof" of citizenship in which all names need to match up. So, a married woman who changed her name will not be able to register to vote if she  doesn't also have official documents that verify that change (marriage certificate, divorce decree, name change declaration, etc.). This boils down to an effort to stop women and impoverished people from voting. And it's a sneaky poll tax because all these documents cost money. Want to support the show?
