BT and Sal discuss Mets President of Baseball Operations David Stearns' recent press conference, where he acknowledged the team "can't run it back" and was transparent about the Brandon Nimmo trade. While both hosts appreciate Stearns' conviction, the conversation turns fiery over Stearns' statement about using young internal options like Carson Benge and Jett Williams, along with Jeff McNeil, to fill the vacated outfield spots. Sal argues that given the Mets are trying to win now, they "can't take a chance in center field" with unproven prospects, citing the Yankees' struggles with Volpe as a cautionary tale.
