This Christmas season can feel heavy. Life is busy, expectations are high, and joy can feel hard to come by. If you're tired, overwhelmed, or quietly wondering if there's something more than just getting through the week, this message is for you. We'll look at the Christmas story through the eyes of the shepherds—ordinary people working long hours, feeling unseen, when hope unexpectedly broke into their normal night. You'll discover how God meets people in real life, not when everything is perfect, but right in the middle of exhaustion, stress, and uncertainty. This message is dedicated to you who are:Feeling overlooked or worn downCarrying stress you don't talk aboutWondering if God actually sees youLonging for joy that lasts longer than a momentJust like the shepherds, we believe God still steps into ordinary moments with extraordinary grace—and that real joy doesn't come from having life figured out, but from being met right where you are. Come as you are. You don't have to have it all together. There's room for you—and there's joy waiting to be found.

Rev. Rob Blackburn "Uncontainable, Yet Accessible" 1 Kings 8:22-24; 27-30
The problem that James and John and the rest of disciples had, was that they thought Jesus could be contained in their own ambitions and agendas; that Jesus could be contained in the systems and political structures of the world they already knew. But they were wrong. They were wrong because Jesus is the uncontainable Christ.
Grace is a word we toss around a lot in church. But what is it, really? Does it mean to "turn a blind eye" or "just let it slide"? This series explores the true meaning and depth of God's grace and the implications it has for our faith. This message explores the evidence of grace received...the giving of grace.

This week's guest, Brontez Purnell, is the kind of writer who's either hard to pin down, or just won't be. As such, he's inspired an episode about who gets to draw outside the lines and why in the realm of book publishing. Whether you love your lane, feel confined by your lane, or insist on busting out of your lane, we invite you to consider what it means to be classifiable and contained, and whether or not it suits you to be so—or to refuse the categories and labels publishing loves to put on authors. An existential episode inspired by an author who's blowing up the boxes and having fun doing it. This week's Substackin' is based on Brooke's post, “Why You Can't Equate Your Substack Posts to a Book: On the Staying Power of the Book.” Grant and Brooke are drawing from their own Substacks and others for these features, and we invite you to find us at https://grantfaulkner.substack.com and https://brookewarner.substack.com. When today's guest, Jay Doran, quotes Friedrich Nietzsche- “You must have chaos in you to give birth to a dancing star...” you get a clue into the mindset of a highly influential corporate advisor and Podcast host. Jay Doran is the CEO of Cultures Matters. CEO's rely on Jay to help improve company results. In this captivating episode, we delve into the profound themes of organizational values and transformation. Drawing from leading team meetings and the book "Uncontainable" by the CEO of the Container Store, Jay realized the critical need of organizational leaders to continue their learning process. When Jay says "if we are not in constant R&D (learning) mode, what long term value can we offer to our clients/ our teams?" Jay walks the walk on the R&D point, logging in over 10,000 in just audio books consumed alone and counting. Mentorship and continuous learning are celebrated as powerful tools for individual and team development. Curiosity is emphasized as it fuels innovation and adaptability, creating openness within organizations. We highlight the need for vulnerability and collaborative environments where diverse perspectives are valued and needed. I am such a fan of Jay Doran.
