In this new, uncut series of the podcast, G is coming to you from wherever the F she finds herself (a power walk, maybe?) to share an aspect of woman-ing that has her saying, “What in the actual . . .?!”  Because it's always nice to feel less alone in the clusterfuck that is life and to hear how we're navigating the hard, the human and the straight up WTFs of, well . . . back to school, for example.     Personally, this back-to-school season was ripe with basic B mom triggers where I found myself in spirals of doubt.  Why did I let the girls pick out their own clothes?  Did everyone else bring supplies to the first event?  Why am I so bad at this and other moms are so good?  Remember that in this WTFness of modern motherhood, you can take your power back when you stop the self-judgment. It's all an opportunity to remember that when you prioritize the things that matter to YOU as a parent, everything gets a LOT easier.   I love you so much.  You're doing amazing!   To join this conversation, join me over on Instagram: www.instagram.com/gervasekolmos and share your triggers about back-to-school.   Do you want to do everything or be you while you do what matters most?  Sales are open now for LEGACY.   Apply to work with me: https://gervasekolmos.podia.com/1-1-coaching-intensive

This is not just another team drama. West Ham is a city full of teenagers who are trying to keep it all together, after they're mysteriously transported to a replica of their wealthy town with no trace of their parents or anyone else for that matter. Yep, candy will be eaten. When you think about this plot device, it’s been done before. Jimmy Neutron tried it, Disney tried it, both failed. However, as the series gets going the storyline gets stronger and stronger. The character development takes time, and it should take time. By episode three the show begins to tackle some really deep subjects moving from the typical high school drama into the heavier emotions and complications around the death penalty, sexuality and larger acceptance. All of this is swirled under the umbrella of impending doom. If these characters do not get their shit together, they will die. Finally, there is a murder forcing the story to really take off.Now for the meh.The show, at least in the beginning relies on pretty stereotypical high school tropes. You know, jocks vs brains. And to make matters worse, some of the performances rely on overacting reminding you of Riverdale at times. But don’t get distracted, this show is worth watching. However, it’s enduring to watch these kids struggle, figure out how to survive what’s being thrown at them. The Society has a lot of heavy vibes which will remind you of The Leftovers or the Walking Dead. It even has a moments that remind you of the WTFness of LOST. The interpersonal relationships successfully remind you of Gossip Girl. 7/10. I’d recommend it. Watch.Catch 22 is the movie based on the book that you might or might not have read in high school. With a dizzying array of characters (who are mostly white men, because… well… Heller’s novel), Catch 22 tells the story of protagonist John Yossarian who has to figure out a way to stay alive through the entirety of World War II. If you’ve opened a history book in the last decade, you’ll know this isn’t an easy task.A quick examination of the first episode shows you this is going to be a fun ride. The tale of the parade obsessed officer Scheisskopf (George Clooney) and Yoss who just wants to go home is addictive. If you don’t care about war you’re going to enjoy the dialogue. The witty banter and humor means that if you don’t like war, you’ll still laugh a bit. However, if you enjoyed the book, the Hulu series might not be for you. Sadly, much of the humor is lost in the series. But if you never read the book, you won’t know what you’re missing.Watch

Mother nature finally said "I've had it with these monkey-fighting dino's on this monday-to-friday planet!" so naturally mankind has to intervene in JURASSIC PARK FALLEN KINGDOM. Then behind every great man is an even greater woman... and behind her is a baby with laser-eyes and rage issues, in INCREDIBLES 2. The racing game ANTIGRAVIATOR laughs in the face of physics, gravity, and fair play 3:) And OCEAN'S 8 puts the "con-" back in convoluted, bringing a more memorable cast to a less memorable addition of a franchise with a nigh-incomprehensible plot. The WTFness overflows!

Cross-dressing air pirates, parades of mechanical dolls, directors doing their own stunts in frigid waters, and a psychological battle for the soul of Ukraine. Now attending for their third and fourth time respectively, Peter and guest Victor Morton always find a Pandora's Box of surprises at the San Francisco Silent Film Festival. Not so much for its relevance to today (sorry, no Age of Trump discussion here), but instead for the sheer amount of creativity and engagement with the world that can sometimes feel more thoughtful than contemporary cinema. This year they dive into films from eight countries over three decades, with a few from silent cinema's canonical directors, a couple from directors in need of major recognition, and finally some films that simply baffle for their sheer WTFness. It's another wrap up in the latest discoveries in silent cinema in the East Bay. 0:00-2:45 Opening 2:46-14:32 A Page of Madness (Teinosuke Kinugasa, Japan, 1926) 15:37-27:40 Magic & Mirth: A Tribute to David Shepard / Filibus (Mario Roncoroni, Italy, 1915) 28:36-38:09 Body & Soul (Oscar Micheaux, USA, 1925) 38:34-42:10 Sponsorship Section 43:33-54:27 A Man There Was (Victor Sjöström, Sweden, 1917) 55:09-1:06:07 Two Days (Heorhii Stabovyi, Ukraine / USSR, 1927) 1:07:07-1:16:12 The Doll (Ernst Lubitsch, Germany, 1919) 1:17:03-1:18:42 Close
