In today's episode, I'm sharing 6 ways to avoid overwhelm in your next launch.- Why launching the first time won't bring you a million-dollar launch and why your second launch probably won't be either.- Why plucking launch goals out of thin air such as "I want to enrol 20 students" or "I want to have a $50,000 launch" will cause you unnecessary stress unless it's based on some logical number crunching first.- How focusing too much on your audience size and growth can limit your launching success.- Why "failing" at something new is never a waste of time—everything "new" has a degree of risk and uncertainty.- How too much thinking and planning will only lead to more overwhelm and what you can do instead.SHOW LINKS:- To join the Launch Magic waitlist: DM me "magic" on Instagram (stephtaylor.co) or visit stephtaylor.co/magic- Get my Daily Biz Booster emails: https://stephtaylor.co/DBB- 5 Simple Tweaks to Boost Your Launch Profits: https://stephtaylor.co/tweaks- Want me to spend a day working on your next launch? Feeling overwhelmed by all of the things that *need* to be done is one of the biggest challenges that I know many business owners struggle with—regardless of where they are in the business. In today's episode, I'm sharing 6 practical things that I do to avoid that feeling of overwhelm.- The simplest way to wade through all of those "to-do thoughts" that are floating around your head.- Why trying to figure out all of the steps before you start a project will only leave your head spinning (and the framework you can use instead).- How using calendar blocking as a way to be realistic about your productivity will help you stay on track and actually get done what needs to be done.- Why some things on your to-do list *never* get done and what you can do with them instead.- The importance of planning your goals and direction and then prioritising what actually matters.SHOW LINKS:- Want to learn more about Sunsama? If you've ever tried to juggle multiple projects at once, you know that burnout comes creeping in at some point when it all becomes too damn much. What if you worked in SEASONS instead?Instantly, you'd be less overwhelmed and your process would be more sustainable.Something that I'm really excited to explore here on the Multi-Passionate Mastery Podcast in season 4, is the concept of seasonal living. Moving with the rhythms of nature, the moon, and my menstrual cycle have been practices that support me in slowing down, and trusting that my body has a wisdom that goes deeper than what my mind may be able to grasp.I'm still doing my learning and research on this topic, but I wanted to get the conversation started and give you a few things to think about when it comes to embracing seasonal living.Where are you already being influenced by the various cycles of nature that are present in your life?Where could the pace of nature be something to study and move with? Can we create a more sustainable relationship with what it means to "get shit done" as multi-passionates when we practice cyclical living? These are the questions we'll explore in this off-the-cuff bonus episode.⬇️ SHOW NOTES ⬇️

It's easy to feel overwhelmed in today's world. With so many tasks to juggle and responsibilities to manage, staying focused and keeping up with everything can be hard. It's important to know that you're not alone in feeling overwhelmed and that there are tools and strategies to help you never feel overwhelmed again. Click to Tweet In this episode, you will learn the following: 1. What is the strategy to manage overwhelm and increase productivity? 2. What three tools are necessary to organize and increase productivity (that are free)? 3. What is the best way to decide which tasks to prioritize when feeling overwhelmed? What is Overwehlm? So, what is overwhelm? Overwhelm is when you have a feeling of being completely inundated or overburdened. It's often accompanied by a feeling of being unable to cope or process anything that's going on. I know I've felt this way before, especially when I was in my 20s and had to juggle school, work, and taking care of my family. I felt like I was running out of time and didn't have a choice but to keep going. Things to Keep In Mind Your podcast doesn't have to be forever. You don't have an audience when you start. You do NOT have to do a video version of your show. You don't have to make money with your show. Three Free Tools to Help With Overwhelm Evernote - A great place to store ideas you don't want to forget. You can even forward things like email to an address and it will be added to Evernote. There is a free version and the first paid version starts at $11/month. Todoist - For items, you need to do. You can easily add items from Gmail, setup recurring tasks, prioritize, share with a team, and more. There is a free version with the paid version starting at $5/month. Google Calendar - There are many calendar tools for you to keep up and organize your appointments. If you want to book guests, Calendly has a free plan as goes Acuity Scheduling. If you want a "lifetime payment," TidyCal enables you to charge for your time (as do the other two).  Now when someone connects you via email or social you can decide to: Delete it - trash it. Save it - Evernote Schedule it - Add it to your calendar Decide to do it - Add it to your todo list. By using these tools and strategies, you can avoid feeling overwhelmed and stay focused on the tasks that are most important. Remember, you're not alone in feeling overwhelmed and there are tools and strategies to help you manage your stress and never feel overwhelmed again. Strategy to Avoid Overwhelm 1. Do a brain dump and write everything down so your brain doesn't need to remember everything. 2. Get organized and direct incoming information to the proper location. 3. Try "Not Now" instead of "No" (if it makes you feel better). 4. Set boundaries and a "rope off time" for you to be focused and knock out the work that needs to be done." 5. Break large projects into small, achievable chunks. 6. Realize that creating a podcast is easy, but creating a good podcast takes time, effort, and determination. Set your podcast schedule based on your lifestyle. Don't try to squeeze your lifestyle into your podcast. How do you want to feel as you complete this year and as you walk into and begin the next? Overwhelmed? Drained? Exhausted? Busy? Over-extended? Of course not! Yet there is so much pressure internally and externally that can create this as the reality you live vs. the one that you desire for the last and beginning weeks of the year. Since 2007, I have been talking about and writing about Holiday Overwhelm and how to avoid it. How not to get hooked by obligation. How to do things differently than what the culture says is normal, but is really kind of crazy :) But this year, I decided I wanted to ELEVATE our conversation and focus ... from the base level consciousness that keeps us stuck in cycles of end-of-the-year madness, and year-start repentance, to some things we can focus on to elevate our experience ... to ones that create a stronger sense of calm, peace, joy, fulfillment, regeneration, creativity, connection, spaciousness. You know all the stuff we see on holiday cards? Wisdom teaching: What you focus on grows.  So what will you focus on ? My very wise ski instuctor's teaching: What you look at, you will hit. Look away from what you don't want to hit. Aka If you want to avoid hitting a tree, then look away from the tree and look towards where you want to go.  My translation - focus on and look where you want to go so it grows within and around you. In this episode 198: Complete & Create Your Year Clear: Avoid Overwhelm & Over-ing. Focus On What Fills You Up we will explore, activate and dive into a series of practical ways to FOCUS on what would be supportive and sustaining ... so you can savor and enjoy the completion of one cycle and the beginning of the next ... and make choices in your day to day that will keep your center clear ... and support you to feel nourished, at peace, empowered, calm, and any of the other feels you want to embody!   Here's what TO focus on (and what not to): Enough (Not Excess) Simplicity (Not Complexity) Reflow to Regenerate (Not Squeeze it All In) Do What Matters (Not Do More)  Honor What You Need & Desire (Not Obligation)  I'll share the wisdom behind these, and how to use these practically in the moment to make choices or change a situation. Bring some paper to write these down and then try them out. With great heart, Christine  P.S. Elevation Action: Share this podcast with a friend, so you can support each other real time.
