Bethlehem Lutheran Church- Aloha, OR

In Philippians 2, Paul points us to Jesus Christ, who humbled Himself for our salvation and now works in us by His Spirit. As we live in His grace, we are called to shine like stars in the world, holding fast to the Word of Life.

Life doesn't always seem fair. Sometimes we compare ourselves to others, wonder why they receive blessings we don't, or feel like we deserve more than we've been given. Listen as Pastor Brian explores Jesus' parable of the workers in the vineyard from Matthew 20:1-16 and discover the surprising truth that God's Kingdom isn't built on fairness, but on grace.

In a world that encourages us to define ourselves by our opinions, accomplishments, or circumstances, God reminds us of a greater truth: "Whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's." (Romans 14:8)

What does it mean to have faith like a child? In a world that tells us to rely on our own strength, Jesus calls us to something different: humble trust in Him. He gives the comforting promise that the true blessing of God's people is not found in what we have accomplished, but in what Christ has freely given. Through His mercy, our sins are forgiven, our burdens are lifted, and we are welcomed as beloved children of our Heavenly Father.
