Junior, Barbie and Sam venture out “In the Dark” to explore the caves below the school. The town is left in the dark, first from a dust storm, then by Big Jim who is, again, casting doubt on the motives and competency of Julia as potential town leader. But also, on the contrary, so much more of the story comes to light! Sam comes clean to Barbie, just before he falls into the dark, Julia and Rebecca gain a mutual trust after talking about the choices they've made, and the Four Hands(tm) get those pink stars falling in lines to confirm that Melanie is indeed the Hand Replacement, and that the obelisk in Zenith really does mean something, though what, nobody knows.
