What started as a normal Friday episode quickly turned into one of the most emotionally unstable shows we've had in a while. Honestly, nobody was prepared for how hard the “saddest movie deaths ever” conversation was going to hit. One minute we're joking around about Pointfest and celebrity gossip… the next minute half the room is emotionally compromised over Artax from The NeverEnding Story slowly sinking into the Swamp of Sadness while childhood memories collapse in real time. This episode of The Rizzuto Show goes deep into the emotional destruction caused by movies like The Lion King, Big Fish, My Girl, The Green Mile, Logan, Forrest Gump, Titanic, Harry Potter, Inside Out, Fox and the Hound, Steel Magnolias, All Dogs Go To Heaven, and about 400 others because apparently everyone on this show carries unresolved cinematic trauma.Moon gets surprisingly philosophical. Rafe gets aggressively emotional about animated foxes. Lern somehow manages to make everybody sad repeatedly. Scott contributes exactly the kind of unhinged movie takes you'd expect from Scott. Meanwhile Riz attempts to hold the entire thing together while the conversation spirals into increasingly depressing territory. And somehow — somehow — we pivot from emotional movie deaths directly into celebrity gossip and fried chicken.Because that's radio, baby.We break down the bizarre report that Michael Jackson allegedly ate KFC for nearly every meal of his life. Naturally, this leads to an aggressive debate over mashed potatoes, fast food quality decline, chicken sandwich wars, buffet nostalgia, and whether anyone should trust powdered potatoes emotionally or spiritually. The celebrity chaos doesn't stop there:Paul McCartney refuses selfies because he feels like a zoo animalBritney Spears may or may not have terrified an entire restaurant while holding a knifeTaylor Swift wedding rumors are getting more secretive than a CIA operationKorn is apparently sitting on 40 unreleased songsPink Floyd now has collectible coins because reality means nothing anymoreThis funny podcast somehow manages to combine emotional damage, celebrity nonsense, food debates, weird news, sarcastic humor, and total radio chaos into one gloriously ridiculous episode. If you like a daily comedy show that sounds like your funniest friends slowly losing control in real time, welcome home. The Rizzuto Show continues delivering the kind of funny podcast energy that only happens when nobody in the room knows how to stay on topic for longer than 45 seconds.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

The Rizzuto Show returns with another completely unhinged episode packed with heroic swamp justice, emotional damage, celebrity chaos, and enough playground nostalgia to make you smell cafeteria pizza again. This comedy podcast starts strong with the crew preparing for Pointfest weekend before immediately derailing into one of the greatest fake award ceremonies in show history: the official presentation of the first-ever Swamp Justice Medal of Freedom. After a St. Louis Cardinals fan bravely stepped in during a dangerous moment at Busch Stadium, the show decides the man deserves recognition the mainstream media apparently refused to provide. Naturally, this turns into a fully orchestrated patriotic tribute involving dramatic speeches, fake medals, Midwestern heroism, and several moments that somehow feel both sincere and completely ridiculous at the same time. Honestly, it might be the proudest moment in modern broadcasting. Or the dumbest. Hard to tell anymore. Then things somehow become even more unstable.Rafe discovers that Reba McEntire is engaged and reacts with the emotional maturity of a raccoon trapped inside a fireworks store. What follows is one of the most absurd comedy bits in recent memory as he describes crashing Reba's future wedding disguised as a corn dog vendor while professing his undying love in front of longhorn cattle, miniature donkeys, and deeply uncomfortable wedding guests. If you've ever wondered what would happen if romantic fan fiction collided with state fair cuisine, this comedy podcast has your answer. The crew also debates the saddest movie deaths of all time and accidentally turns the studio into a trauma support group. From Bing Bong and Mufasa to Armageddon, The Green Mile, Forrest Gump, Logan, and My Girl, absolutely nobody escapes emotional devastation. Moon somehow tries to sneak Jesus Christ into the conversation, which honestly feels very on-brand at this point.Elsewhere in the episode:Mini Kiss stories somehow dominate an entire segmentAir Supply accidentally catches straysThe internet invents “ball maxing” because society is collapsing in real timeHorse fart audio becomes a legitimate discussion topicThe gang debates recess, playground politics, and old-school childhood gamesRafe reveals he was elite at Double Dutch before toxic masculinity stole his dreamsEverybody collectively realizes recess may have been the only thing keeping America functionalThis comedy podcast continues delivering the exact mix of sarcastic humor, pop culture nonsense, emotional overreactions, and St. Louis chaos that somehow keeps this whole thing running. Whether it's celebrity gossip, weird news, childhood trauma, or a grown man yelling “GET YOUR CORN DOG, REBA” into a microphone, The Rizzuto Show remains your trusted source for daily entertainment and complete nonsense. If you love funny podcasts, weird stories, sarcastic humor, celebrity fails, daily comedy, or hearing adults emotionally unravel over fictional characters and carnival food, welcome home.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.City of Markham sues park district executive director over prom photo helicopter landingStudy Shows Littering Declined 34% Across America Since 2020Nonprofits spearhead St. Louis effort to remove trash, tiresWoman Who Went Viral for Unintentionally Rude Email Address Changes Her Last NameSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

SGS goes to the bullpen as PJ and Kevin Van Valkenburg slide into the big chairs for a late Sunday recording. The two aren't entirely sure how they got here, but they applaud Andy for taking the night off to celebrate the Bulls securing a top-four pick in the upcoming NBA Draft. Things stay on the rails to start, as PJ and Kevin quickly get into another "juice-less" week at Quail Hollow for the Truist Championship. Kristoffer Reitan broke through for his first PGA Tour win after getting into this Signature Event on the Aon Swing 5 list, defeating a smattering of European Ryder Cup hopefuls like Alex Fitzpatrick and Nicolai Hojgaard. Reitan successfully navigated the "Green Mile" to round out his Sunday and got to show off an unlikely sponsor during his winner's interview on CBS. Kevin is quick to jump on a runner-up finish for Rickie Fowler and suggests that a Rickie win at the PGA could be the best possible outcome for the sport of golf. PJ is concerned about a "Space Jam" situation unfolding after Justin Thomas bragged about stealing Cameron Young's putter and a tough Sunday on the greens cost Cam a back-to-back win. There's also plenty of Jordan Spieth discussion after he resurrected the "go get that" moment early in an uncompetitive week. In other news, Team USA's captain has won on the PGA Tour yet again! Brandt Snedeker took home the title at the OneFlight Myrtle Beach Classic, his first win since 2018, but was quick to note that he has absolutely no plans to play in the Presidents Cup this fall. He is excited to play in his first major since 2021 this week, and PJ suggests keeping a close eye on who Snedeker tees it up with in practice rounds at Aronimink. Lucas Herbert went wire-to-wire at LIV Virginia, holding off a charging Anthony Kim on Sunday and securing his spot in the 2026 U.S. Open. In a very important installment of Champions Tour Minute, PJ recaps Boo Weekley's win at the Insperity Invitational and shares a special shoutout that Boo received from a famous friend on social media. Overseas, Yurav Premlall might've been the most unlikely DP World Tour winner of all time at this week's Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship, and Chris Wood returned to the winner's circle to round out this week of 2016 throwbacks. In news that we couldn't make up if we tried, professional wrestling company AEW held a show in the SoFi Dome on Saturday featuring wrestlers tackling each other into the very same bunkers that Kevin Kisner hit shanks in for Marty Smith's entertainment! Eamon Lynch also sat down with new PGA of America CEO Terry Clark to get the scoop on Don Rea's whereabouts (among other things) as we arrive at the year's second major championship. Andy and Brendan will return on Tuesday night for a LIVE preview of the 2026 PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Greg and Ed discuss the 100th 'birthday' of Lumpini Park. The guys begin by highlighting the improvements in the park over the last several years. More and cleaner bathrooms, landscaping, and an adjacent 'hawker center' are some of the highlights. Greg then reviews the different facilities that populate the 142 acre park, such as a fitness center, swimming pool, and even a lesser known library, one of the first in Thailand to be truly open to the public.  The show then shifts to a walk-and-talk in the park itself, recorded a few days before. With its proper roof and organized layout, the Hawker Center is a definite upgrade over random street vendors but in the end is just another Bangkok market. The boys tell some funny Lumpini-centric stories about their early days in Bangkok and their great memories of the park, before a discussion of the soft power possibilities of the park's famous monitor lizards.  Next, they check out the status of the Green Mile, the long walkway from lower Sukhumvit and Benjakitti Park to Lumpini Park itself. There is now a twisting walkway leading down into Lumpini, suitable for bike riders. The guys walk over Wireless Road and note that the path seems wide open all the way to Benjakitti. Both guys celebrate the realization of a long dream of Bangkok cyclists: riding through Benjakitti Park, up onto the Green Mile, and then down into Lumpini Park without once having to dismount! It might have taken decades, but that dream is finally a reality. :)

It's Opening Day in St. Louis, so the crew shows up in full Cardinal red… except for Lern, who proudly opts out of sports like it's a personality trait. The celebration quickly derails into a completely unnecessary investigation into whether Crisco and Lipitor are secretly connected (they're not, but confidence was high). From there, things spiral into robot paranoia, AI taking over jobs, and the psychological horror of the “uncanny valley.” Naturally, this leads to a deeply unsettling debate about how many dead bodies can exist in water before we collectively decide it's not swimmable anymore. Because nothing says “good morning” like existential dread and lake corpse math.March Movie Mayhem continues as the crew debates iconic 90s matchups like Forrest Gump vs The Green Mile, Pulp Fiction vs The Matrix, and the absolute chaos of Dazed and Confused vs Wayne's World. There are strong opinions, questionable logic, and a lot of yelling about what truly defines a “90s movie.” Meanwhile, the show mourns missing out on buying the legendary mechanical rhino from Ace Ventura 2, which somehow sold for nearly $60K (yes, really). This kicks off a full-on spiral into movie prop auctions, including items from Predator that Rafe is now emotionally attached to owning for no practical reason whatsoever. With Moon still out living his best theme park life, the crew becomes obsessed with the HBO series Neighbors, specifically the finale titled “The Man in the Yellow Bikini” (warning: aggressive levels of old man nudity). But the real story is Rafe's quest to get into Canada despite his… let's call them “historical driving achievements.” Enter immigration lawyer Mark LaForce—basically the Avengers-level hero of border crossing—who confidently declares, “You're coming to Canada,” and lays out a surprisingly doable plan involving permits, paperwork, and possibly a letter from Wayne Gretzky (which, apparently, carries more weight than politicians). The segment turns into a full-blown mission, complete with tribal invitations, hockey connections, and the show rallying behind Rafe like he's heading on an epic quest instead of just trying to cross a border legally.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.What to know for the St. Louis Cardinals' 2026 Opening DayBeaufort, Mo., man fatally electrocuted during suspected copper theftGlam influencer arrested for ‘staging her own KIDNAPPING & having innocent husband beaten to boost her follower count'CDC issues travel alert about potentially fatal 'breakbone fever'United to be first US carrier with economy seats that turn into couchesSocial Media's Legal Reckoning Has Begun: ‘We Are in a New World'FedEx launches new same-day delivery service. Today's episode of The Rizzuto Show is what happens when absolutely nothing goes according to plan… which is exactly how we like it.We kick things off with a real-life situation that somehow turns into show content (because of course it does): a colonoscopy day. There's prep, there's concern, and there's Rizz trying to make sure he's positioned perfectly in the recovery room like some kind of overinvested producer-husband hybrid. It's supportive… but also suspiciously content-driven.Then we dive headfirst into March Movie Mayhem, where the crew debates some of the biggest 90s films ever made. We're talking Fight Club vs Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump vs Green Mile, and Pulp Fiction vs The Matrix. This spirals (as it should) into a full breakdown of why every guy in the late 90s thought they were one bad day away from starting an underground fight club. Rafe even shares a real story where… yeah… that kind of actually happened. As the episode rolls on, things somehow get even more chaotic. We cover the death of the billionaire behind OnlyFans and the massive impact he had on the internet (plus a reminder that money doesn't make you immortal). Then there's a wild story involving a celebrity, a motorcycle, an angry neighbor, and body cam footage that flips the entire narrative. We also hit a packed edition of “Crap on Celebrities,” covering everything from Oasis reunions and Def Leppard trends to John Cena being one of the best humans alive. Plus, we run through travel destinations inspired by movies and shows, which immediately turns into a debate about whether anyone actually wants to go to Albuquerque on purpose. It's sarcastic, chaotic, and exactly what you expect from a funny podcast that refuses to stay on topic for more than 30 seconds. If you like your mornings loud, weird, and slightly unhinged — welcome home to The Rizzuto Show, your go-to funny podcast for daily comedy, pop culture, and whatever just happened five minutes ago.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

“I'm tired, boss.” Join Ian, Liam, Megs & Kev for our 323rd episode as we walk the long corridor, sit with miracles, and confront justice, compassion, and cruelty in Frank Darabont's The Green Mile (1999). It's heavy, it's heartfelt, and yes — we all know what's coming… but that doesn't make it any easier. This week we discuss: Michael Clarke Duncan's towering performance — gentle, tragic, otherworldly. Is John Coffey one of the most emotionally devastating characters ever put to screen? Tom Hanks as Paul Edgecomb — quiet authority, moral conflict, and the burden of knowing what's right when the system says otherwise. The film's central tension — justice versus legality. What happens when the law is wrong but must still be carried out? Megs explores the emotional mechanics — how the film earns its tears, and whether it ever crosses into manipulation. Ian breaks down Darabont's storytelling — classical structure, patient pacing, and why the film leans so heavily into sincerity. Liam questions if the film sacrifices characterisation for what the plot needs to occur Kev weighs in on the execution room and if the set designers missed a trick there The supporting cast — from Brutal to Percy. Who stands out, and who embodies the film's darkest impulses? The treatment of death row — humane, harrowing, and unflinching. Does the film confront or soften its reality? The ending — cathartic, crushing, or quietly haunting? What lingers after the final frame? And finally, whether The Green Mile is the Best Film Ever — or one of the most emotionally overwhelming films ever made. Welcome to the Video Store Podcast. It's March, the snow is slowly melting, and the world is turning green. Everywhere you look, stores are pushing the same movies about leprechauns and four-leaf clovers.I'm here to give you a break from the lucky charms and offer up four different movies for the green spring season.Soylent Green (1973)Set in a crowded, overheated dystopian future, Soylent Green follows New York City detective Robert Thorn as he investigates the murder of a wealthy businessman. By 2022, the world has been pushed to the edge by overpopulation, pollution, and food shortages. Most people survive on processed food rations distributed by the powerful Soylent Corporation: Soylent Yellow, Soylent Red, and their new product, Soylent Green. As the investigation unfolds, Thorn uncovers a conspiracy that reveals the shocking truth behind Soylent Green and reaches the highest levels of the Soylent Corporation. If you like classic 1970s science fiction with a darker edge and big ideas about the future, this one is for you.The Emerald Forest (1985)The Emerald Forest tells the story of a young boy, Tommy, who disappears while his father is working on a massive dam project in the Amazon rainforest. Bill Markham spends the next decade searching for his son, traveling deeper into the jungle and encountering the indigenous tribes who call the forest home. It's a story of love, loss, and hope set against the lush green backdrop of the Amazon rainforest. If you're in the mood for an adventure that feels different from the usual Hollywood formula, this one is worth pulling off the shelf.Romancing the Stone (1984)Romancing the Stone is often labeled an “Indiana Jones clone,” even though the script was written two years before Raiders of the Lost Ark.Romance novelist Joan Wilder is suddenly pulled into a real adventure when her sister is kidnapped in Colombia. To save her, Joan must deliver a mysterious treasure map deep into the jungle. What follows is a fast-moving adventure filled with treasure hunters, narrow escapes, and an unlikely partnership with a rugged fortune hunter.Much of the film takes place in the thick green jungles of South America, where the landscape becomes just as important as the story. The lush setting adds a sense of danger and excitement as the characters try to stay one step ahead of the people chasing the same treasure, a priceless emeraldRomancing the Stone is pure 80s adventure fun. If you like action, humor, and a little romance, this is an easy choice for movie night. The Green Mile (1999)The Green Mile takes place inside a prison during the Great Depression and follows a group of guards who oversee death row. The story centers on John Coffey, a kind, imposing inmate who arrives with a mysterious presence and an unexpected gentleness. The “green mile” is the nickname given to the stretch of green linoleum floor that prisoners walk on their way to the execution chamber. Over time, the guards realize the man walking the Green Mile possesses something extraordinary, turning a routine prison job into a powerful story about compassion, redemption, and humanity.Settle in for this epic. It's a powerful, character-driven story that blends drama, mystery, and a touch of the supernatural. Thanks for reading Video Store Podcast! It's a long walk, the Green Mile. Yes, it is. But in a change of pace from recent outings, this go around sees the BTTP lot inducted into a story of compelling narratives, profound themes and complex characters - not to mention a balls-to-the-wall performance by the late MCD! This is all true. But, fuck, this movie is long! This episode, Ben, Ian and Anthon refrain from throwing too much shade at this flick, because as we soon learn, some people are afraid of the dark.

In this episode, we break down why 1999 is often called the best year for movies. From huge box office hits like The Phantom Menace, Toy Story 2, and The Sixth Sense to era-defining cult classics and critical darlings like Fight Club, Magnolia, Office Space, The Blair Witch Project, and The Talented Mr. Ripley. We look at what made the late-90s Hollywood pipeline so bold, how these films shaped modern filmmaking, and whether any year since has matched the sheer variety, risk-taking, and cultural impact of movies released in 1999.Chapters:00:00 Intro: why 1999 was an insane time00:46 Episode roadmap01:28 Biggest blockbusters list + what it says about the era04:23 Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace07:18 The Sixth Sense 09:01 Toy Story 210:50 Quick hits: Tarzan / The Mummy / Notting Hill / Austin Powers12:37 Oscars & award talk (American Beauty, Boys Don't Cry, The Green Mile)14:39 Magnolia18:05 The Blair Witch Project20:58 Office Space24:15 Fight Club25:41 The Talented Mr. Ripley27:46 Cruel Intentions + American Pie29:06 Election29:37 Editor note: Why Eyes Wide Shut isn't here30:00 Audition (Japan)31:33 Bollywood picks 36:51 Wrap-up + outroFollow us on Instagram:https://instagram.com/twopleasepodFollow us on X:https://x.com/TwoPleasePodFight Club:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOFvzFHQ9hI&t=705s&pp=ygUdZmlnaHQgY2x1YiB0d28gcGxlYXNlIHBvZGNhc3Q%3DThe Matrix:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zK5jDv4G2eU&t=238s&pp=ygUddGhlIG1hdHJpeCB0d28gcGxlYXNlIHBvZGNhc3Q%3D

Stephen King Isn't Always Scary (with Sean Fennessey)

It's October, which means it's time for scary books and scary movies. There's one person who is well known for both: Stephen King. Since his first novel, "Carrie," was published in 1974 and adapted into a hit film two years later, his novels and short stories have been a reliable source of material for film and TV adaptations. And while he's known as a master of horror, some of the more popular films based on his work are drawn from non-horror material. On this week's episode, Sean Fennessey, co-host of the Ringer podcast "The Big Picture," joins Gilbert Cruz to talk about "Stand By Me," "The Shawshank Redemption" and more.Books and movies discussed in this episode:"Stand by Me," based on the novella "The Body" from 1982's "Different Seasons""The Running Man," based on the 1982 novel of the same name published under the pseudonym Richard Bachman"The Shawshank Redemption," based on the novella "Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption" from "Different Seasons""Dolores Claiborne," based on the 1992 novel of the same name"The Green Mile," based on the 1996 serial novel of the same name"The Life of Chuck," based on the novella from 2020's "If It Bleeds""The Long Walk," based on the 1979 novel of the same name published under the pseudonym Richard Bachman Subscribe today at nytimes.com/podcasts or on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Satire, Tropes, and Uncomfortable ConversationsMatthew and Riki examine the 2024 satirical film The American Society of Magical Negroes, starring Justice Smith. This provocative comedy tackles the "magical Negro" trope coined by Spike Lee—where Black characters exist primarily to help white protagonists—by imagining it as a real organization designed to keep white people comfortable. The film blends social commentary with romantic comedy as the protagonist must choose between his assigned role and his own desires.Questions We Discussed:What is the "magical Negro" trope and how has it appeared in films like The Green Mile, The Legend of Bagger Vance, and Ghost?Does the film work better as satirical sketch comedy than as a feature-length movie?Should we have avoided discussing this film as non-Black hosts, or is there value in these conversations across racial lines?Does the romantic comedy element undermine or enhance the film's social commentary? How does the character of Lizzie complicate the film's racial dynamics as a multiracial woman who "passes" as white? Is the final confrontation scene between Aaron and Jason genuine growth or does it center white comfort once again? Can characters like Guinan from Star Trek: The Next Generation or Morpheus from The Matrix fit this trope while still being well-developed?Why did this film generate such polarized reactions, particularly within Black media critique circles?**************************************************************************This episode is a production of Superhero Ethics, a The Ethical Panda Podcast and part of the TruStory FM Entertainment Podcast Network. Stephen King has a habit of putting his strongest messages into his shortest of works.  Stand By Me (The Body), Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and The Life of Chuck is no exception.  First of all, read it.  No. Really.  READ IT.  Then go and watch the movie.  No no. Really. WATCH THE MOVIE. The Life of Chuck is the affirmation of life that we need in the world we live in today.  It doesn't assure us that all will be well, or even that everything will work out just the way we want or hope or think we deserve. No, but it does affirm to us all this. Each of us, every single one of us, are more than we suppose. Not just that, but additionally, who we are, what we experience, what we dream and hope and imagine, absolutely all of it, is important in some way and to some one. Our pairing on this episode is Ryes of the Robots by Filmland Spirits.  We felt it was appropriate. This is a fantastic rye whiskey, and we're looking forward to telling you all about it.   Stephen King | The Life of Chuck Ryes of the Robots Small Batch Straight Rye Whiskey

Gary Sinise's stage, film and television career has spanned more than four decades. In 1974, at 18 years old, he co-founded Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre Company. 20 years later, for his performance as Lt Dan Taylor in Forrest Gump, he received nominations for Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild and Academy Awards, and earned the Best Supporting Actor Award from the National Board of Review and the Commander's Award from the Disabled American Veterans. Other film credits include Apollo 13, Ransom, Snake Eyes, Impostor, The Green Mile, Mission to Mars and The Human Stain. For over 40 years, Gary has stood as an advocate on behalf of America's service members. In 2003, after several USO handshake tours, he formed the “Lt. Dan Band” and began entertaining troops serving at home and abroad. Over the years, the 13-piece cover band has performed hundreds of shows for charities and fundraisers supporting wounded heroes, Gold Star families, veterans and troops around the world. In 2011, to expand upon his individual efforts, he established the Gary Sinise Foundation with the mission to serve and honor America's defenders, veterans, first responders, Gold Star families and those in need. The foundation remains committed to finding new and exciting ways to give back to those who sacrifice for our nation and encouraging others to do the same has become his personal quest and what he hopes will endure as a legacy of service to others. In 2008, he was given the Presidential Citizens Medal, the second-highest civilian honor awarded to citizens for exemplary deeds performed in service of the nation. He is only the third actor ever to receive this honor. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
