You never want to see it or hear it, but it happens and we need to prepare ourselves and our churches as best we can for when a pastor fails. Whether it's in your own church, community, or on a larger scale, when a pastor falls it hurts and the wounds can be devastating. In this episode, pastor Josh Tompkins joins us to discuss the recent events surrounding the news of Steve Lawson and how we can learn from this as Christians and ministers by preparing our hearts and guarding our lives.
In this second part of our interview with pastor Charles Humphrey of Communion Fellowship Church we continue our discussion on voting with a Christian worldview. We dive deeper into Scripture in this episode as we discuss the importance of thinking Biblically about our upcoming election and the future of our nation. We hope you enjoy and benefit from this conversation.
It's election season in America...and things are complicated once again. Christians seem to be a people without a party and many questions are being raised by evangelicals these days. In this first of two episodes, with the help of Pastor Charles Humphrey, we hope to help believers wrestle with the questions and Biblical truths that confront us in our American political system. Our prayer is that this will help give insight and wisdom to brothers and sisters as we consider the future leaders and direction of our nation.
If you love good Bible preaching then you're going to enjoy and benefit greatly from this message! Our good friend, Cameron Dula preached this for our Deeply Rooted Equip in July of 2024 at Eastside Baptist Church in Elizabethton, TN. We pray you are encouraged and edified by this powerful sermon.

Travis Hilton, pastor of Crystal Spring Baptist Church, joined us for a great conversation concerning the recent happenings and events surrounding the Southern Baptist Convention. **However, we must add that upon the completion of this episode, news broke that the ERLC of the SBC had retracted the statement which Travis and Jeremiah discuss in this podcast. On the morning of July 23rd the ERLC Executive Committee and Board of Trustees released a statement that Brent Leatherwood had not been removed from his position and that, if fact, Kevin Smith had resigned as Chair of the Executive Committee. Leatherwood remains the President of the ERLC as they continue to navigate this interesting turn of events. Our apologies for any confusion due to the timing of this episode and the situation at the ERLC.***
Pastor Robbie Haynes of First Baptist Church Of Jonesville was gracious enough to speak with us about his life and ministry. After multiple decades of faithful service to our Lord, Robbie shares his testimony and history of preaching and pastoring. We pray you'll be helped and encouraged by this great conversation.
The assault on manhood in today's culture is overwhelming. From TV, film, social media, and our institutions there seems to be no area where biblical manhood isn't deemed a problem. In this episode, Jeremiah Riner walks us through different aspects of what Scripture teaches us about the role and gifts of men and how we should cultivate these for the glory of God and the good of ourselves and others.
In this third part of a three part preaching series from the book of James, pastor Jeremiah Riner preaches on the importance of biblical wisdom as a mark of salvation. We hope you enjoy and benefit from this exposition of James 3:13-18.
In the second part of a three part preaching series from the book of James, pastor Jeremiah Riner of Calvary Bible Church explains the vital connection between our faith in Christ and how our words will reflect that faith. In a world so loose with its language and ever-changing terminologies, Scripture reminds us that the tamed tongue comes only through the redeemed heart controlled by the Holy Spirit. We hope this message is helpful and encouraging to you in your walk with Christ!
Are you saved by works or is it by faith? Is it a combination of the two? Does one need to outweigh the other? Certainly people wrestle with those questions and have since the beginning of time. James chapter 2 helps us answer all of these questions and more and we hope you enjoy this exposition from Calvary Bible Church by host Jeremiah Riner. Our prayer is that this message is an encouragement to you in your faith and helps build your assurance in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
Have you ever wrestled with assurance of your salvation? Chances are, all believers have struggled with this at some point in their lives. In this episode, Jeremiah and guest Justin Bise look at what the Bible actually teaches on the subject of assurance and remind believers of the Good News found in Jesus Christ. We hope this is a great help to you!
