Welcome to the podcast series called "A DJ's Life" by DJ Sly Bri. Throughout this series, I will play for you the songs and share with you the mixes that defined my long DJ career in the Philly area. And, between the mixes, I will tell you some stories about my life as a DJ and a miscreant in Sout…
My sister Natalie would have been 50 on Friday but she passed away in 2017. I did an hour tribute to her today on PartySavers101.com and I am posted the show here for posterity. I play nothing but songs that remind me of her and I tell a few stories about why. Starts with Oran Juice Jones and ends with Gregory Abbott. In between there is freestyle, hip hop, dance music, and a dust rack special or two. If you listen, e-mail me at slybri102@yahoo.com. the picture is from 1973 or so here. Natalie on left, me in the middle, our brother Scott on the right

We even played a few country songs, but I certainly did not bother playing any of that crap on this podcast. As always, I hope you enjoy this podcast half as much as I did making it. This volume is dedicated to the owners, managers, and bartenders at the Coral Reef, who treated me like family and forgave my immaturity numerous times, just like a family does. It is also dedicated to the hundreds of great people I met working there and the many fine bands I had the pleasure of working with. I miss "the Reef." So do countless others.
