Can an octopus attack a human? The giant pacific octopus is huge. An adult octopus is often 16 ft from the tip of one arm to the tip of another - that's almost like three adult people standing one on top of another! The largest specimens can also weigh more than 100 lbs! But the size record is held by a giant that grew to be 30 ft across and had the weight of a whopping 600 lbs!  It's not that easy to come across the underwater giant. Octopuses are well-known introverts. o meet a giant octopus, you would need to travel to the North Pacific coast. It can be Japan, Alaska, British Columbia. Next, Jeff and Joey go on to breakdown the upcoming week's match ups but not before discussing a famous incident in 2007 where a large octopus was killing sharks at the Seattle Aquarium; perhaps foreshadowing for Tuesday night's game in San Jose? The Kraken have back-to-back road games and face a tough Anaheim Ducks squad on Wednesday before flying back home to once against face off against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night before welcoming in the Toronto Maple Leafs to Climate Pledge Arena on Sunday. This week The Movie Breakdown is coming at you with four reviews of very different movies. Speaking of different, we look at a Martin Scorsese movie that some may say goes against his reputation with the film adaptation of the Edith Wharton novel about upper class life in 1870s New York, The Age of Innocence. I also argue in the review that it actually is very much a Scorsese movie while also showing his wide range of talents and skill by tackling different subject material as well. Another director with a reputation is Olivier Megaton and we review his latest action picture, The Last Days of American Crime. We also have a slice of life 1950s period piece sci-if thriller -- yes, you read that right and no, I can't think of another movie from this specific newly created genre but here is The Vast of the Night. I need to mention that this is the first movie where a character has my son's name, Everett. If you want drastically different, then we end the movie reviews with one of the movies that launched the Asylum B-movie empire, Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus. After all that, we look at some of the Academy's recent announcements for moves and initiatives they are going to launch that will create more diversity and inclusiveness in the Academy Awards and hopefully, the movie industry.As always, we had a great time recording the show and we really hope you love it as well. Lorenzo Lamas-Craig (born January 20, 1958) is an American actor. Lamas-Craig is known for playing Lance Cumson on the popular 1980s soap opera Falcon Crest, Reno Raines on the 1990s crime drama Renegade, and Hector Ramirez on the daytime soap opera The Bold and The Beautiful. Lamas appeared in reality television, served as a judge on ABC television's short-lived Are You Hot? and starred in his own reality show,Leave it to Lamas, a series about his real-life family.Early lifeLamas-Craig was born in Santa Monica, California, the son of Argentine actor Fernando Lamas and Norwegian-American actress Arlene Dahl. He is the stepson of swimming film star Esther Williams, who married his father when Lorenzo was 11 years old. Williams was also the best friend of Jane Wyman, who would later play along with Lamas-Craig on Falcon Crest. Lamas-Craig was brought up in Pacific Palisades, California, and moved to New York City in 1971, when he was 13 years old. She was just a great gal; and I think that set the tone for the rest of us. She wasn't a 'spoiled diva,' and believe me, if anybody had a right to be a 'spoiled diva,' it was Jane because she has done so much, Oscar Award-winner, I mean, incredible actress, and she was just like clockwork, right there on time, always knew her lines, always ready to rehearse and she had this great affable quality. You just never talked about Ronald Reagan, that's all, that was one thing we never did, everything else was opened." At the beginning of the ninth and final season of Falcon Crest, off-camera, Lamas received some devastating news about his TV grandmother when she was sent to the hospital that he paid visit to see her to offer her some words of comfort.[1] After cancellation, he did not keep in touch with her for years, on September 10, 2007, he lost his TV grandmother and decades-long friend. Prior to Wyman's death, Lamas released a statement: "Next to my parents, Jane was the most influential person in my young career," he added, "She has left an incredible body of work and accomplishments that cannot go without being recognized and celebrated. I will miss her greatly."In 1984, Lamas was nominated for Worst Actor at the Golden Raspberry Awards for his performance in the film Body Rock. Lamas also performed a song on the soundtrack for this film, and the track "Fools Like Me" became his only single to date to crack theBillboard Hot 100 chart.In the early 90s, he began carving out a niche for himself as the next big action-hero, showing off his martial-arts skills and starring in such movies as the Snake Eater-trilogy, Terminal Justice, Gladiator Cop, Bounty Tracker, and many similar low-budget action-films, that unfortunately failed to reach a mainstream-audience.However, in 1992, Lamas played the role of the falsely accused cop Reno Raines in the syndicated series Renegade. Lange angekündigt, heute ist es endlich soweit: Wir beginnen mit den Mega-Shark-Filmen. Teil 1 "Mega-Shark vs. Giant Octopus" war dabei eine besondere Herausforderung, "Mega-Shark vs. Crocosaurus brachte den meisten Gesprächsbedarf. Die Herausforderung in unserem ersten Film bestand darin, dass wir die Rechte an den Audio-Ausschnitten nicht bekommen haben. Das lag gar nicht mal an mangelnder Kooperationsbereitschaft des Verleihers, sondern daran, dass man dort die entsprechenden Rechte nicht hatte - und dann kann man auch nichts lizensieren, klar. Trotzdem wollten wir ja über den Film sprechen und ohne Ausschnitte macht das nur halb so viel Spaß! Also haben wir einzelne Szenen aus "Mega-Shark vs. Giant Octopus" mit Bordmitteln nachgestellt. Würden wir was mit Video machen, würden wir oben rechts "Nachgestellte Szene" einblenden müssen, denn ohne diesen Hinweis merkt man kaum, dass es sich nicht um Filmausschnitte handelt. ;-) "Mega-Shark vs. Crocosaurus" hingegen lief, dank erneut guter Zusammenarbeit mit Tiberius Film, wie gewohnt. Und der Streifen bietet kaum mal eine Pause für den Zuschauer, der Film besteht nahezu ausschließlich aus Action. Entsprechend viel hat Benni damit zu tun, "Mega-Shark va. Crocosaurus" zusammenzufassen. Wir hatten einen Mords-Spaß beim Aufzeichnen, wenn es Euch gefallen hat, dann hinterlasst uns doch einen kurzen Kommentar.

Watch with me as I: Watch it for the first time Compare it extensively to the original Herman Melville novel (it's about a guy hunting a whale) Pick apart the intricacies of the plot (guy hunts whale, whale tries to eat aircraft in peace) Analyze the symbolism (leg = penis; whale = thing that eats penises) Get my 1978 Battlestar Galactica references all wrong (Starbuck = Apollo, Cassiopeia = Serina, robot dog = son, "biddi-biddi-biddi" = Twiki from Buck Rogers) Review whale biology (female whales have udders, right?) Never, ever compare it to Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus, which this is better than I praise the sets, CGI, directing, and acting—where appropriate (I'm lookin' at you, guy-with-the-blank-stare-of-a-cow).
