After a 4 year hiatus the band is back together.  The trio are back together to talk all things #CBJ, Gen X Pop Culture, and inappropriate humor.  In this episode the boys talk about things that were, things that are, and some things that have not yet come to pass.  Segment One take us from where we last podded thru today.  Segment Two they discuss the funk of the current season. In segment three the boys wonder if anything has really changed the last 4 years.

John, Dan, and Morgan have legally separated from their spouses in order to focus more attention on Podcasting.  J/K.  But hey, they boys are back in the studio to talk about the Streak and the All Star Break.  They make Steven Seagal references, talk Star Wars movies, and giggle about Weak D.

After a longer than anyone realized break, the boys are back in the studio for another podcast.  In the first segment, we talk about exceeding expectations.  In the second segment, we talk about who is surprising and who is disappointing.  In the final segment, Dan and Morgan show why the economy is so fragile.

After a six month hiatus, the boys return to studio to podcast once again.  We talk about World Cup of Hockey, CBJ draft, predictions for the season, and a little CBJ Opening Night Bingo.  We probably should have laid off the expensive scotch...

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  Who are we kidding, there was no redeeming value to this season other than the CBJ kids not totally sucking.  John, Dan, and Morgan close out the end to a frustrating CBJ season.  Segment One is a recap of all things current.  In segment two, Dan asks John and Morgan to qualify points of the season with a new set of awards.  In segment three, John takes Dan on a choose your own adventure as the CBJ GM. 

Back and better than they were 3 weeks ago Dan, John, and Morgan shuffle back into the studio.  In the longest segment in the history of internet radio, We talk bout the boring tread deadline, Murray and Jenner extensions, and Jones possible contract length.  Morgan opines about the cause of the next lockout.  In the second period we act like a 25th place team who just wants to eff up their draft position.  And we back for a John Kemp's "Fast Five" in the third segment.

In this episode, the boys talk about what was the impending trade deadline as they viewed it Sunday evening, which is now completely obsolete. They also take a look back at the last month of hockey, and invent a new game called "Pros and Cons" in which, shockingly, John is asked to be optimistic and Morgan is asked to be pessimistic. How will they ever do it??

Sorry this is a few days late, but sometimes computers can be fickle. On this episode, the boys tackle some larger questions about where this franchise is headed and what kind of job the FO is doing. Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch calls in for segment two to give us his insights on what actually be wrong with this franchise. In segment three, Dan tries to stump Kemp and Morgan--and fails--in this version of CBJ Guess Who.

It's been a month since the boys could get together and record a full episode. Did anything happen? Hmm. Dan, Kemp, and Morgan talk Johansen-for-Jones trade, discuss what we've seen on the ice and what it means for the future, and then Kemp and Morgan relax and lie back as #DP pushes deep inside their beings for answers to some tough questions.

So, yeah, we really meant to podcast--and twice had tentative times agreed to--and then life, holidays, illnesses, and general vacation-ness got in the way. Just to let you know we haven't forgotten about you and such, and we will be back soon...

Dan, John, and Morgan are joined in studio by the venerable Gallos of Dark Blue Jacket Fame.  In the first segment the boys discuss all things CBJ and discuss what skills an NHL player is expected to possess when earning more than 5 million dollars a season.  In the second period the boys welcome Dennis Kelly II of Boone's Goons to participate in Kemp's "Fast Five" segment.  It's really more of a Medium-Paced Five.  In the third period Dan, Morgan and Gallos torment John with a new Being John Kempovich segment.  Be there, or be a plane figure with four equal sides and four right angles. PS - Sorry Bunk...

 John, Morgan, and Dan return to the basement to bring you another episode of the best CBJ podcast in the universe.  In the first segment the boys talk about playing with 4 defensemen, blowing a 2 goal lead in the 3rd, and Ryan Johansen seeing time on the fourth line.  In segment 2, Jarmo reads emotionally charged texts from Joe Reader that chronicles the CBJ's season thus far.  In the third period, we bring back the CBJ Magic 8-ball and release a tribute song to Jared Boll.

The Distinct Kicking Motion crew is back with the accurately titled episode 47!!  Dan, John, and Morgan welcome Gallos from Dark Blue Jacket to the studio.  In the first segment the boys discuss the effects of Tortorella and ponder if recording 0 shots in a period is simply just 'score effects.'  In the second segment the boys welcome Greg Wyshynski, the editor of Yahoo Sport's "Puck Daddy" blog to talk CBJ, Star Wars, and Hockey on TV.  In the third segment the group puts together a multi-faceted CBJ drinking game. 

Eight losses in a row mean things are a-changin', and the DKM guys have you covered. We're joined also by Greg May who talks about #sharting, and we fill in a little Mad Lib with the help of one of our favorite new characters!

With the Jackets off to a Ppanic inducing start to the season Dan, Kemp, and Morgan look for answers as to why.  In the first period, the boys try to figure out why a bunch of Fraternity-aged men can't string together 60 minutes of solid hockey.  In the second segment, Jordan from THE CBJ Artillery joins the show and takes the "So you think your an American Canadian Hipster" Quiz.  And in the third segment, John administers his Fast 5 and Dan reads our iTunes reviews in Jarmo's voice.

Dan, Kemp, and Morgan (get it) return to the studio for a preseason preview!  The boys discuss roster openings and what the bottom half of the forward roster will look like.  As always, the defensemen are an after thought!  Dan doesn't think Morgan can rant for 2 minutes about 3-on-3 and boy is he wrong.  In the second segment the boys return to the time honored tradition and reveal the person behind the Nationwide Arena Ghost twitter account for the 2014-2015 season.  For the third segment, in the spirit of Brandon Saad's injury, the boys share stories of their hockey injuries.  Bonus points awarded to those people who can correctly guess the number of freshman year's Morgan had in college.  

Guess who's back in the MFing house!  That's right, your most favorite Blue Jackets podcast is back.  John and Morgan welcome Dan Parker from the Cannon as a new member of the podcast!  We get you ready for the season, talk with Aaron Portzline of th Columbus Dispatch, and John does something with Dan's Chops.  CBJ Hockey is back, and so are we!!

After a busy fall and winter of making babies and having babies, John and Morgan return to the studio to talk about injuries, trades, and fandom.  It's kind of a dry show, but at least we're back!

John and Morgan welcome Jordan Mills to the show as Joe is on the IR while he battles a throat infection.  In the first segment the boys talk about the banged up CBJ, Ryan Johansen, and are surprised they forgot about the Scott Hartnell trade.  In segment two the boys talk about what they think the team will do this season.  In the last stanza we pick the mind of the CBJ's most loyal fan in an episode of Being John Kempovich.

Here it is ladies and gentlemen, a podcast episode with no redeeming value.  This episode is bad.  If you like long, drawn out, repetitive, drawn out long things that are repetitive and long, this podcast is for you.  If you don't like long repetitive things and prefer books with large pictures and few words, this podcast is not for you.  Morgan and John are completely drunk in this power hour episode.  They review the Ryan Johansen contract situation again in the first segment.  They debut the Bobby Mac Tribute song "Air Space Oddity" and unleash some new CBJ Garbage Pail Kids in the second segment.  And in the third segment Morgan presents the first installment of CBJ Drunken History.  HE IS HAMMERED.  Enjoy and #SeeYouAtCannonfest

In a less than hilarious two man episode, John and Morgan bring you the latest from July 2nd episode featuring the aftermath of the Free Agency Frenzy.  In segment one the dynamic duo discuss the Hartnell/Umberger trade.  In segment two, the boys break down Restricted Free Agency and the Johansen situation.  In segment three, the boys bask in their awesomeness and see how their off season predictions have gone thus far.  They also go over some current event type things.  Man, they need Joe back as host ASAP.

The Blue Jackets have exited form the Playoffs and Joe, John, and Morgan have returned to the studio.  In the first segment the boys reminisce about the playoffs and lament the the loss. They also make some recommendations on how to better reveal the "We Are the 5th Line" banner.  In the second segment the boys welcome the legendary Greg Wyshynski to talk about the Blue Jackets, Sociopathic Patrick Roy, and Hockey players that look like female celebrities.  In the third segment the boys are going to prove how awesome they are by picking what will happen to existing players in the upcoming off season.

We're trapped in glass case of emotion!!!  Following the Blue Jackets emotional game four win over Pittsbught in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Joe, John, and Morgan share their individual experience from that great night!

Here it is folks, the FIRST EVER first round playoff edition!  Joe, John, and Morgan set up shop at Nationwide Arena to bring you their experience during Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs between the Blue Jackets and the Pittsburgh Penguins!  In segment one the boys share their jubilation and Kemp give his Big Five.  In the second segment, the boys have had two periods of hockey to digest and talk about the Tweet Up Behind the Cannon.  And in the final segment, we has a sad.

It's the first ever "We are in the Playoffs" edition of the DKM Podcast!  In the first segment Joe, John, and Morgan troll the Leafs, talk about this year's team, and pay homage to the retiring Tom Fellrath of the Dark Blue Jacket.  In the second segment the Hustle Boys receive a mysterious call for the Ghost at Nationwide AND REVEALS THEIR IDENTITY TO THE WORLD.  Fear not, not all is lost.  In the third segment, since John decided to show up, the boys round out the show with an Episode of Being John Kempovich

Yes folks, this is actually a published Social Station Podcast recorded on March 28th, 2014 vs the Pittsburgh Penguins.  John has gone missing aboard Flight MH370 and it's up to Joe and Morgan to do yet another two man show.  In the first segment the two of them break down the remaining schedule for the Blue Jackets.  In the second segment, Joe and Morgan ponder what some of the CBJ players powers would be if they were super heroes.  Joe hatches the brilliant idea for the "Hustle Boys" series of books featuring Cammer and Matty.  And in the third segment, the boys ponder the loss to the Penguins, gush over spending the evening with former NHL goalie Damian Rhodes, and compare hangover remedies. 

Morgan makes the trip to the first CBJ Artillery Fest at the Pig Skin in Athen, OH on the Ohio University Campus.  Girls half his age abound in this matinee showdown vs the NY Islanders.  This show is a testatment to the power of promoting an event solely through social media!  In the first segment Morgan is joined by Matt and Jordan of THE CBJ Artillery as well as Tony from OU's hockey student supporter The Gang Green.  Tony tells his perspective on OU's hockey program and Rick Nash's shenanigans.  In the second segment, TJ from CBJ Nation, CBJ Ice crew member Danielle Podlowski, and meterology extraordinairre Ted join the show to talk all things 1994.  And in the final segment Jordan helps Morgan close out a stinker of a game vs the New York Islanders as we welcome the Boys from Hockey BS to the podcaset.  PS, you can order a Burger, two pitchers of beers, tip $10 and only spend $26 dollars at the Pigskin.  Gosh we miss college bars.

DKM Hockey is back and better than it was yesterday, but not as good as it will be tomorrow!  Joe and Morgan wade through such issues as Cam Atkinson's pine riding, the return of Jared Boll, and why it's the referee's fault when the Blue Jackets don't score.  John is doing his best MH370 impersonation with yet another disappearance.  The boys welcome Jared from NYR Unlimited to the show to talk about Nash, Brassard, and Dorsett.  In the third segment the Joe and Morgan reminisce about their wonderful Glamour Shots and introduce the song "With or Without Nash."

OMG, it's the NHL trade deadline!  In the first segment the boys share stories on how they spent they day on social media.  In segment two Joe, John, and Morgan welcome back APSE winning Aaron Portzline to the podcast.  Porty breaks down the day's festivities as it relates to the Columbus Blue Jackets.  In segment three the boys bring back everyone's favorite bit, "Being John Kempovich"

It's Episode XXX and the boys are sober.  Weird how that happens.  In the first segment Joe, John, and Morgan discuss the Rbar experience for the USA vs Soviet Union Russia prelimary Olympic hockey game.  In the second segment, they boys welcome Jeff Rimer back to the show to talk all things Olympic break.  And in the third segment, Joe and John do everything they can to Make Morgan Mad.

It's an R Bar viewing Party! Joe, John, and Morgan watch the last game before the Olympic break from the R Bar in the arena district. In segment one the boys recap the Jackets last few games. In segment, the boys welcome blogger extrordinaire and AAA Ohio Blue Jackets intern @iamaraindancer to the show for some trivia. During segment three, the boys from THE CBJ ARTILLERY stop by to ramble on. And in the final bonus segment, Dennis Kelley stops by to debut our latest song, "Equipment Man."

The DKM Crew is a man down as Joe is AWOL for the 28th episode.  John and Morgan try to split hosting duties.  In the first segment John and Morgan talk streaks and what in the world to with Marian Gaborik.  In segment two we redebut John's "Big Five" where John asks five questions on every CBJ Fan's mind.  In segment three John plays 'Ghost at Nationwide's Real or Fake' where Morgan reads the name of a CBJ player fan twitter account and John guesses if it's real or fake.

Joe, John, and Morgan are back after the Christmas holiday and are ready to do some podcasting. In the first segment the boys discuss the recent play of the team, the return of Sergei Bobrovsky, and share some new year's resolutions.  During the second segment, the boys welcome Dennis Kelly II of Boone's Goons and release John Kemp's epic musical number, "Brick by Brick" with vocals by Mr. Kelly.  In segment three the boys welcome the CBJ Magic 8 ball to the show and discuss CBJ themed Ben and Jerry's ice cream flavors.

Joe and Morgan are again a man down as John is on the 15 day DL with a throat infection.  Joe and Morgan break down the CBJ parabolic orbit over the last 10 days.  In the second segment, Joe introduces and idea that would make the game more appealing to novices.  John is not forgotten as he sends in 3 trivia questions each for Joe and Morgan to ask each other.  The winner gets a free Chipotle Burrito.  To round out the hour long show, Joe and Morgan reach into the archives and find a Rat Pack-esqe Blue Jackets rendition of "My Favorite Things."  It's awesome. 

Joe and Morgan saddle up at Buffalo Wild Wings at Polaris for a #CBJBWW viewing party! John was unable to join the Cast de Pod so we enlist the services of Intern Zach to round our the Cast of Three. Intern Zach says like 7 words the entire episode. The first segment container a recap of the Bi-Polar Nature of the recent CBJ games. In segment two, we review the CBJ Drinking Game for the 2013-2014 seaon. In segment 2.5 two lovely members of the CBJ Ice Crew stop by for an interview. And by the third segement everybody is completely hammered and we try a new segment called, Making Morgan Mad.

DKM Hockey Podcast: Episode 23 - the search for episode 22!  Joe, John, and Morgan return for an LP session in Episode 23.  Episode 22 will forever be lost as a podcasting glitch.  These things happen.  The boys need answers about the team's consistency and they welcome Jeff Rimer to the first segment of the show.  Jeff's insight into the makeup of the CBJ dressing room and culture puts the boys at ease.  In the second segement, with Jeff Rimer covering many points to be covered later in the show, the boys return to the amature podcast status to discuss the CBJ Social Station experience and have some more fun with the CBJ Magic 8 ball.  Segment three is everyone's favorite - Being John Kempovich. 

It's a two and a half men show!  No, Morgan does not go all Charlie Sheen on us in this episode.  John is AWOL for part of this technological disaster of a show.  To help out, Dan from The Cannon joins us to give us his assessment of the CBJ 5 games into the 2013-14 campaign.  Joe and Morgan take on the second segment in tandom and introduce a refined CBJ Magic 8 ball and get a couple unexpected surprises.  John joins the rest of the second segment to bring closure to the great DKM burrito debate.  And in the thirs segment, the boys announce the winner of the DKM Contest Contest Winner and release their fourth parody song, "If you like Boomer the Cannon."  Joe and Morgan CANNOT SING.  You have been warned.

In Episode 20 Joe, John, and Morgan provide lots of laughs.  All that can be said about the 2013-2014 Columbus Blue Jackets has been said, all the speculation, the Playoffs, the scoring.  The boys open the first segment reviewing the roster additions for Ryan Murray, Boone Jenner, and David Savard.  In the second Segment, the boys explore two social scenarios and turn to the fans to help decide.  To answer the unaswerable questions, the DKM crew enlist the services of the CBJ Magic 8 ball.  And in the final segment, the boys pander the Contest Contest to the listers and add another Chapter in the B is for Boomer Children's book - J is for Jody Shelley

It's our kick off Podcast for the 2013-2014 season!  Joe, John, and Morgan spend the first 20 minutes breaking down hot CBJ topics and discuss defensemen fighting for the last few spots on the roster.  Segment 2 brings us the much anticpated #CBJ Twitter Drinking Drinking game for the upcoming season.  Also, we brinng back Matt and Jordan from @TheCBJArtillery because we messed up their interview at Cannonfest.  For the third segment Blue Jackets Defensemen James Wisniewksi joins the podcast to discuss camp, the upcoming season, and WizWear.  The boys wind down the segment with some new drops for the show and adopt a CBJ player as their child for the season.  Hilarity will ensue.

Officially titled The Power Hour Episode, Joe, John, and Morgan drink a shot of beer a minute for 60 minutes, then press "record" on the podcast machine for our 17th session.  The sound quality isn't as sharp for this episode as we used a new digital recording device.  Anyhoo, in segment one we welcome friend of the show and local high school hockey coach Pat Murphy to chat for 20 minutes.  Murph shares his experiences playing professionally in Europe and North America as well as offering insight into a successful high school hockey program.  In segment two, we have consumed exponentially more alcoholic beverages and ponder what Columbus Blue Jacket themed "Garbage Pail Kids" might be like.  And in the third segment, which absolutely no one remembers recording, is a spontaneous episode of Being John Kempovich.  We are all introduced to a new word in this segment.  Seriously, none of us remember this segment.

Joe, John, and Morgan drag themselves from the post season blues for an another exciting episode.  John shares his childhood love of "choose your own adventure books" and we read a handful of page of his recently published "Jarjoe Kekareader" CBJ adventrue book.  The boys finally agree on letter "G" in their childrens book of B is for Boomer.   They boys also share the much anticipated "Vinny" tribute song in this innuendo laden episode.

In their best EVER season ending podcast, the boys welcome guest host @UnionMarc to the first segment to talk all things Bobrovsky.  Joe, John, and Morgan review the highlights of the 2013 season.  The show winds up with a very rangey "Being John Kempovich" segment.  The boys wrap up the show vetting the latest submissions for B is for Boomer.

What was slated as a 10 minute closing segment to the Playoff Push Episode turns into a 45 minute bathroom humor giggle fest.  Joe and Morgan along with Gallos welcome Dancing Kevin Schroeder back onto the show.  But that's not all, Frank Adams known throughout the world as @TheAngryJacket crashes the Podcast and gives great perspective on #Lumbus, the Playoffs, and Buck toothed Alley Cats.  Kevin fantasizes about tackling Boomer and shares a great Claude Lemieux story!

Live from the #CBJBWW veiwing party on April 25th in Powell, OH.  Joe, John, and Morgan welcome two special guests to the Podcast - Full Mental Jacket's Brett Ireland aka @RockmanHalo and Dark Blue Jacket stalward blogger Mike Galloway aka @gallosdbj.  The crew explores the possibility of a Blue Jacket casted Star Wars trilogy.  RockmanHalo gives us three ideas for Columbus Blue Jackets themed video games: Super Foligno Bros.; Chaos Controll; and Jarmo Bobble.  Gallos and the boys then discuss what this playoff push as meant to them and what might still be ahead.  BRING THE THUNDER!

Joe, John, and Morgan return for lucky Episode 13 and welcome back Tom Felrath of DBJ fame.  The crew introduce a few chapters to the new CBJ childrens book, "B is for Boomer."  John and Tom have their 'Dead Pool' tie breaker in the form of Blue Jackets Jeopardy.  The boys write a tribute song to RJ Umberger and close the show with a super long "Being John Kempovich" segment.

Joe, John, and Morgan set up camp at Buffalo Wild Wings in Gahanna, OH for a #CBJBWW viewing party.  What a great week for CBJ fans.  Greg May of Full Mental Jackets sits down to discuss what might be the greatest week for an GM in franchise history.  Morgan and Joe interview the first ever DKM contest winner, Lyndsay Wilson.  Nationwide Arena Host Mike Todd stops by for a great guest interview and the DKM Crew finally reaches the end of the Oregon Trial.

Joe, John, and Morgan are back in Episode 11 to update everyone on their hilarity on the CBJ Oregon Trail.  But the boys have a special guest during the entire show, none other then Mr Dark Blue Jacket himself, Tom Fellrath.  With the trade deadline approaching, the four of us draft two players for the CBJ death pool as we try to pick the CBJ player most likely to be traded at the deadline.  With the 12 game point streak over, Morgan is back in therapy.  The show winds down with a little Q&A with Tom from DBJ and the boys finally make good on a Best Buy gift card give-a-way.
