It took me 8 years to get pregnant. I went through loss, IVF, many (MANY!) diet changes, holistic modalities -- and nothing was working. I decided to become a Life Coach so that I could stop suffering through the uncertainty of it all. In my certification, I learned mind-body tools that helped me to eventually get pregnant naturally -- and now I teach women all around the world to do the same. I also wrote a new best selling book called: Fertile Ground, that I'd love to promote on your podcast. It teaches women the mind-body approach to getting pregnant -- without it taking over their lives. I believe that the trying to conceive journey can be incredible parenting prep. It taught me the tools I needed to handle the uncertainty of conception, pregnancy, labor, and motherhood. To let go of perfectionism and to trust myself. It was a catalyst to step out of "what I was supposed to do" and into what made me feel at peace -- even if it was different from the norm. I am a life and fertility coach. Jean Brassard, Louise Penny's choice to narrate her 19th Three Pines novel, proves an inspired selection. Host Jo Reed and AudioFile's Robin Whitten discuss how Brassard, a native Quebecois and an award-winning actor, gets each character right. Domestic terrorism takes Armand Gamache, Jean-Guy, and Isabelle from Montreal to the Vatican and to an isolated French monastery. Brasard's accents—whether French Canadian, Italian, or continental French—create indelible characters, and his pacing and storytelling skills are stunningly good. Listen to find out what awaits Gamache in this latest memorable mystery. Read our review of the audiobook at our website. Published by Macmillan Audio. Wisconsin's thoroughfares are steeped in paranormal legend, often times having multiple roads being named in the nation's "Most Haunted" directories. Murder victims, bloody brides, phantom cars, family tragedies, and lynched witches all make up some of the colorful stories of our highways, byways, and bridges, some having endured for many generations, others having been born of more recent events. Scott and Mickey discuss a number of these legendary haunted roads, attempting to locate possible origins of the legends and the meanings behind them, while understanding that some of these are stories born from actual events, lived by real people, and deserve to be looked at a little more respectfully than maybe they have been up to now. In the opening banter, we discuss several updates to previous cases, as well as the beginnings of a larger project we hope you join us in participating in. On this episode of The Cyebrsecurity Defenders Podcast, we talk platformization and the SecOps Cloud Platform with Maxime Lamothe-Brassard, Founder & CEO of LimaCharlie. In a world where digital transformation has become the norm, cybersecurity professionals face unprecedented challenges. The traditional approach of managing dozens of disparate point solutions and siloed security tools, while attempting to control costs, is no longer sufficient. It's time to embrace a new era of cybersecurity in the SecOps Cloud Platform – one that treats cybersecurity as a set of capabilities much like how cloud providers did for IT. We challenge you to question the status quo and to open your mind a new way of thinking about security operations. You can get started for free at limacharlie.io
Cybersecurity is one of the biggest markets emerging in the tech industry right now. There are several big players, yet there is plenty of room for startups that are being innovative and taking a different approach. LimaCharlie is the latter, creating a SecOps cloud platform that aims to bring together a variety of cybersecurity capabilities in a single platform. In other words, it's a more simplified approach to cybersecurity in the modern era. Naturally, by taking a different approach to things, LimaCharlie ran into some unique challenges during its startup journey. Founder & CEO Maxime Lamothe-Brassard joined startup coach Roland Siebelink on the Midstage Startup Momentum Podcast to discuss some of those challenges. The danger of working with investors who aren't aligned with the company's vision. Balancing current investors versus new investors for subsequent funding rounds. How to shift toward growth that gives the startup more control. The challenge of tech-oriented founders becoming salesmen. The shift from inbound-only sales to becoming more outbound. How the core values of LimaCharlie have changed as the company has grown.

Last week, Kevin and Scott had a blast chatting about Kevin's 38-year and counting career at Walt Disney World. He shared about his audition for the role of Indiana Jones and some extreme detail about Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular including the 9-month training he went through to get the show up on its feet, some high profile guests who saw the show, and what it's like cracking a whip, running from a boulder, and dodging punches from a 6'7” giant. This week, Kevin and Scott continue their talk about what it was like to walk the red carpet and spend time with Harrison Ford during the premiere of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny in LA. They also talk about Hidden Mickeys, visiting the parks with kids, why Kevin likes working for THE WALT DISNEY Company, and so much more. On this episode of The Cybersecurity Defenders Podcast, we chat with Maxime Lamothe-Brassard, Founder & CEO of LimaCharlie, about the SecOps Cloud Platform. The SecOps Cloud Platform is a construct for delivering the core components needed to secure and monitor any given organization: things like, deploying endpoint capabilities through a single agent regardless of the technology, alerting and correlating from logs regardless of the source, automating analysis and response regardless of the environment. The SecOps Cloud Platform is:An environment where many solutions can exist, not as a collection of random tools, but as a series of cybersecurity solutions designed to interoperate in an un-opinionated way, from the ground up; where powerful systems can be put in place at incredible speeds. An environment fundamentally open through APIs, documentation, integrability, affordability; making it a neutral space for all cybersecurity professionals, whether they're in enterprise, services or vendors to build appropriate solutions. The SecOps Cloud Platform is not where data goes to die—it's a fabric, a sandbox ready for you to use, but also ready to disseminate data and insights to other systems as needed in cost-effective ways. The Cybersecurity Defenders Podcast: a show about cybersecurity and the people that defend the internet.
