This is the Dream Into it Podcast where we will look into how powerful inspired, motivated women like myself are able to rewrite the stories of their lives and step into their power. I am so excited to be able to join you on your journey of stepping into your potential and creating the life of your dreams. Mahalo for being here today, let's dream into it!
I really do think that dreams come true and it starts with a thought that leads into a big dream and leads into reality. And if you're trying to accomplish a goal, this episode is for you. One of the things I want to share with you is that sometimes (mostly always), when you are taking that risk to do something different, big, or impactful, it will also come with a little bit of resistance. It may come from people close to you like friends or even family. The resistance can even come from your own thoughts. This process is definitely is not easy but it will come with ease. Aloha, Dreamers! In this episode of the Dream Into It podcast, we'll talk about how to build YOUR personal brand. Everywhere I go, I'm constantly asked why I'm so passionate about what I do. I get multiple feedback on how I motivate and inspire people. I didn't own my power and my light back then. I used to shy away from compliments. But now, I'm more aware of my personal brand while going through the process of building my business. I now use it in all aspects of my life. Everywhere I go, I'm constantly asked why I'm so passionate about what I do. I get comments on how I motivate and inspire them. I didn;t own my power and my light back then. Aloha and welcome back, dreamers! Today is a conversation very near and dear to my heart, it’s money. This subject comes up a lot for me and will never go away. Today, I’m gonna niche down and speak to my old self. I grew up on welfare and learning from that experience. If you can relate to this younger version of Roxelle, this episode is for you. In this episode, I’ll be sharing tips on how to break away from the “Broke” money mindset that a lot of us have been experiencing. Stop thinking that money is bad, stray away from the scarcity mindset, and don’t be afraid to learn about money. Get started in managing your money mindset! Aloha and welcome back, dreamers! My intention of coming into this podcast is to set a reminder for all of us the wonderful experience of having a child. On the days when you wake up and you feel like your body is not “bikini-ready”, I want you to remember this episode and know that you created a human with that body. Feel great in your skin and love the process of how your body can change over and over. There’s gonna be days when we feel great with our body and there are times when we need a reminder but know that everything comes full circle. If this is your first time jumping into my channel. Welcome, Aloha! Thank you so much for being here. I designed this swimwear company. About I'd say 10 years ago is when it really, really started grassroots style in my garage on a $30 machine. Just learning how to solo, learning, how to design on my own. I received written letters, emails, comments in our posts and our social media feeds telling me how much my swimwear, my brand, has changed women's lives for the better, made them feel beautiful, made them feel confident. And thank you so much, all of you women, who send me those comments. It just makes me feel like my mission, my purpose is real, but I'm here to tell you a little secret today. How should a bikini make you feel? In this episode, I will give you this answer to this question, which has been brought up to me numerous times. Aloha and welcome back, dreamers! I just love to have these authentic conversations. The topic that came to my mind for this episode was from the Body Love Letters deck. The card said "My worth is not defined by a number on a scale". I design swimwear for all body types, I alter bikinis to fit the different types of women's bodies. I feel sad when girls come up to the store and think that they wouldn't look good in a bikini. But your worth is not defined by your weight, size, a comment or that number on the scale. There's not a perfect body type! Jump in and join me in the conversation! Aloha dreamers. Welcome to the Dream Into it podcast. This is only my second episode of the year and I'm really happy to be back. I'm back with a little bit of a different message from last year. As you all know, I took a little bit of a break and I just wanted to settle-in. To make sure that the message that I will be sending out this year is really clear, intentional, and from my heart. I just launched my personal brand, ROXE11E and in this episode, I just wanted to share the circumstances that led to this. From how I started Fused Hawaii, to my different versions of failure that led to the version of who I am now. I cannot be the whole version of myself now without owning and accepting the different versions of me. Take that next step and sit with all versions of yourself because all of you is luck. Continue to dream into it! Aloha dreamers. Welcome to the Dream Into it podcast. Now recorded live here on YouTube. I'm so excited for all of those who have been listeners of my podcast, Dream Into It. I am, for the first time, recording this footage right now as I speak. As you know, none of this is scripted. I want it to be able to bring you behind the scenes in a way. So I'll be posting those on our website, on our YouTube channel, all of that loveliness, because I feel like we've had such great conversations. I want to be able to have you here sitting next to me on this couch with my coffee, with my body. Love intention, deck, all of this, because I wish you were here. Being in quarantine this past month has taught me a lot about myself. We're all forced to go within ourselves which, to me, is such a blessing being able to really dive deep into our thoughts and feelings. So, in this episode, I want to talk to you about one thing I’ve learned about myself as I reflect during this quarantine. I took a trip down memory lane to look at the person I was in my past and the person I am now as a mom and a multi seven-figure business owner and what I realized is that a lot the big and difficult decisions I’ve made that have lead me to where I am now, have been based on my intuition. I haven't gone to an Ivy League school, I don’t have a fancy piece of paper that shows my credentials, but what I have is the life I have now, the business that I've built, my family, and my team! I didn’t need all of the accolades and academic achievements to be blessed with so much. I have all these things because I followed my intuition and trusted in it one hundred percent! In case you need to hear it today, you are enough! We all have the power within ourselves to lead a happy and meaningful life only if we listen and honor our instincts. Aloha dreamers!Welcome back to the Dream Into It podcast. My company, Fused Hawaii, is about empowering women to love their bodies and to be confident in the skin that they're in. I was thinking that I should talk about self love as well. All of these years, I was so focused on self-love and trying to build my positive thought process up and still continuously doing so. I totally believe that these thoughts will continuously recreate our realities in front of us. I learned that those parts of me needed love too.I just wanted to leave a little reminder for all of you out there who are practicing self-love everyday. You are doing amazing and you're doing the hard work. That positivity, trying to change our trauma response and release our past stories while waking-up everyday and reconfirming all these positive things about you. I would love to just put a little reminder out there that those parts of you still sitting in the dark, they don't need to hide anymore. It's in all those intricacies that we find our beautiful selves, the self that we can love.I would love to hear your thoughts wherever you find me, whether it's on Instagram or our other social media accounts. Aloha! Here we are again with another episode. As always, I don’t have a script or structure to this episode, I just want you to see my process as it unfolds - including the good and the ugly.I wanted to change my view about Mondays. I realized that my negative view about Mondays also started to affect my view of Sundays and let it even creep into my Saturdays. So today, I did things that made me feel good. I felt grateful and fully present in the moment. Find your way home. If we can rewire our brains about Mondays, how much more about other things. Rewire your brain and teach it to always be able to find your way home. All you have do is to be in the moment. Allow your body to guide you to find your path home. What is your version of home? How does it smell and look like? Allow your mind and body to find its way home. Connect:Have any questions, comments, or stories you’d like to share with us? Aloha!I started something new in my Facebook group, Empowered By Fused Hawaii. We invited 30 random women to a Zoom live coffee date and we were just leading into this intention and desire for community. For this feeling of connection and building friendship.I wanted to bring together 30 women in an intimate setting. To be able to sit in a room, have coffee and laugh. I wanted women to walk away with high vibes, friendships, smile and laughter. Everybody is going through something different in their life. The goal of this meeting was to bring together a group of people who gets to be uplifted by someone else who is vibrating higher. Share their pains and struggles alongside their wins and joys. When we come together and we share our pain alongside our joy, our sorrow alongside our happiness, we then get to experience this real human connection. No matter where we are in this globe, our status, our color, or life experience, it does not matter because at the end of the day we all want and desire connection. We formed an Ohana and if it's something that you want, come and join us!Connect:Have any questions, comments, or stories you’d like to share with us? Aloha! Today on Dream Into It podcast, I bring you some behind-the-scenes of my talk story session with Deborah Marvin from our private Facebook community. I’m so honored and blessed to be able to sit down with her and I believe you’re going to enjoy this conversation. We talk about motherhood, friendship, love, relationships, having body confidence, and so much more! Ladies, my biggest takeaway from this episode is to find a man who thinks you’re smoking hot! I promise this is going to be a fun conversation and you’re going to love this woman as much as I do! These are the types of conversations I want to share with our community, Empowered By Fused Hawaii. So thank you, Deb, for inspiring me and so many women in our community to continue on no matter our age, our background or life experiences and for helping us realize that life can be full of fun. Today’s conversation is going to take a little turn into bikini and pregnancy. One question I get asked a lot is, “Can you wear a bikini while pregnant?” I’ve been pregnant four times and as you all you know, I am the owner of a swimwear brand, Fused Hawaii, and it began because I was pregnant and I needed a bikini for my growing body. So, to answer the question, YES! Absolutely! You can wear a bikini while you’re pregnant. No matter what shape, size, color, or age you are just ROCK that bikini! End of story. In this episode, we talk bout confidence, the changes your body goes through during pregnancy, adjusting and giving our body what it needs, and just giving ourselves credit for how strong and beautiful we are. Sometimes, it’s easy to overlook so many good things about who we are because of our insecurities. If you can take away anything from this episode, I want to know that every ounce of confidence that we can muster up in ourselves, that gets carried over to our children. What a gift that is to leave for them! Also, I want you to embrace all the changes and love your body mama, it’s been through so much!Connect:Have any questions, comments, or stories you’d like to share with us? I found a little bit of quiet time the day I recorded this episode, so I came to the microphone to speak what’s in my heart. Get your favorite drink and get comfy everyone. I hope you enjoy this episode! If you’re already familiar with my swimwear brand, Fused Hawaii, then you’re probably already part of our Facebook group, Empowered Fused Hawaii. We started the group a little over a year ago and what started as a feeling has grown to a community of 70k women which is crazy! Let’s rewind and document some of the details of how and where we started. About 4-5 years ago, I didn’t have a lot of kids (yet!) so I had a lot of friends but as I got older, I’ve lost friendships along the way and boy did it hurt! I was heartbroken. It's worse than a break up sometimes when you lose a best friend! But after all of that drama went away, I realized I really cared for people but I wasn’t perfect either. There were good parts and bad parts but I realized that it's okay as long as you take accountability of your mistakes and own them. My lesson looking back is although I have lost some relationships as I grew into the person I am today, t has opened up space for other people, better relationships, more positive energy, and, honestly, it was an eye-opening experience. I felt like I just ripped off the band-aid!Fast forward to today, I’m literally shocked every day at the community we’ve created. Everybody is lifting each other up every single day, friendships are made, and the girls have such a close bond with other people that they haven’t even met before! I often ask myself, “How did this happen?” Well, it started with hose heartbreaks. Everything that I craved in a friendship, I literally created. I am one lucky girl! My next dream is to be able to meet you all in person. I don’t know when, but I know it will happen. Soon, I hope. I hope this story inspires you to look past the heartbreak. I know how difficult they can be to deal with but sometimes, the outcome could surprise you.Keep on dreaming, dreamers!Connect:Have any questions, comments, or stories you’d like to share with us? Aloha! Here we are again with another episode. As always, I don’t have a script or structure to this episode, I just want you to see my process as it unfolds - including the good and the ugly. As you all know, we’re in this time where our emotions are a little all over the place. There’s been so much fear and uncertainties, but I’ve come to learn to reframe my mind around all of these negative things going on in our lives right now. Imagine how amazing it will be when we come out on the other side? I’ve learned to look at 2020 as a blessing and wake up every day with gratitude. As I document my journey through this process, I’ll share with you that I’ve been experiencing an emotional week. I’ve been feeling pains in my body, but I’m also paying more attention to what my body is telling me, and questioning if my physiological pains have anything to do with what is going on inside. Just observing, listening to my body, and diving deeper - I find it very interesting being able to uncover something deeper. Whatever emotions you're feeling right now, the good news is you’re allowed to feel them. The other good news is, we have all the resources that we need to heal. Our self-awareness, our ability to choose how we react to things, our ability to observe and understand our emotions and choose how we move forward. We have all the tools we need right within ourselves, we just have to access them. I hope that these stories that I share with you are also helping you and feel not so alone as you deal with our current situation with COVID-19. If you’ve listened to all of my episodes so far, you’ll know that I am just like you. We go through the same struggles. You are not alone.Connect:Have any questions, comments, or stories you’d like to share with us? We're so used to seeing people’s highlight reels on social media and a lot of times we compare ourselves to the glamorous lives some people have based on what we see online. You know that I'm always transparent with you guys, so today, I'm sharing my day with you and how I'm feeling. I want to share with you all parts of my business and my life and maybe you'll see yourself in my story as well. But you know what helps me get through all the hardships in life and business? Also, after building a multiple 7-figure business, I've learned to harness this self-awareness that allows me to catch these feelings when I’m overwhelmed, when things seem insurmountable. Aloha!I’m back with a new episode interview with another member of our private Facebook Group community, Empowered Fused Hawaii. With 50,000 women in the group, I don't always get the chance to talk to every one of them so having these one-on-one with these women who come on my show is such a privilege. I "talk story" with Sarah about her journey, the ups and downs and the hills and valleys of life, of her Polynesian roots and being adopted by a family in Tennessee, balancing mom life, and we also touched on the topic of faith. What interested me the most about Sarah’s story is how she went through the various deaths that she experienced in her life and how that made her who she is today. If I could take one lesson from this conversation, it’s about being in the moment with the people that you love and care about. Life is short and if we could all learn to appreciate life and the people we’re surrounded with everyday, then we will have no regrets. To quote Sarah, “Don’t wait until tomorrow to say how you feel, especially about the people that care about you. Tell them today and know that regardless of what relationship you have with them, that if you give in your heart what you feel, and you're able to lay it out on the table and be very transparent - that's enough, that's more than enough."I got chills listening to her story so don’t forget to listen in this conversation and I hope you’re able to take away some value from it. Thanks for tuning in!
I had a fun conversation with Kaelyn Keala, a member of our Empowered by Fused Hawaii community. I just wanted to meet as many women from our community and be able to shine the light on your stories.Kaelyn talks about her story as a teenager who played rugby in school without knowing she’s 5 months pregnant, being a single parent, doing different kinds of jobs to provide for her family, and to starting her own business as she was going through postpartum. I mean, if there’s one word I can use to describe her story, it’s “brave."I’m just so proud of her journey. She was invested in her growth, she did the uncomfortable and she’s well on her way to success. As a girl who grew up on an island, there are certain expectations placed on you. Growing up, I had this thinking that "not having the right education, she wasn't gonna make it anywhere.” But then you hear stories like this one! Like what I always say, “ don’t ever be afraid of dreaming bigger than the islands."So listen to this conversation and get inspired. I wanted to come onto the mic today to share with you my process of how I eliminate anxiety from the day-to-day. In the past I thought that there was no way out of stress and overwhelm but in the past year, I have acquired tools that I’m able to rely on every time I feel overwhelmed and I want to share them with you.Anxiety, depression, overwhelm - I know these are not topics we normally talk about because they are not pretty, but I want to normalize them, to show that life is not always glamorous and that’s okay. So if you’re going through these emotions, I want you to know that you are not alone and I hope that bringing my voice to this subject will give you hope and coping strategies that can help you get through a hard day.I’m curious to know about your own strategies also, so feel free to leave a comment below or hang out with me on social media. Most of the time, we’re so busy chasing the next goal, the next shiny object that we forget to look back at how far we’ve come in our journey. So on this episode, I wanted to take you back to where it all began. As you all know, I'm the founder of Fused Hawaii, a swimwear brand that I founded 4 years ago. When I started this company, I had to learn things like building a website, marketing, social media, and I had to learn them fast. All of these things that I never really felt confident enough to handle. Now, looking back, things around me have shifted but I am still that same girl now that I was 4 years ago, only I’m a few steps ahead. So cuddle up and get cozy as I take you on a storytelling journey going back to where I was 4 years ago.Links:www.fusedhawaii.comSubscribe to Dream Into it Podcast ❤️❤️❤️Apple PodcastsGoogle PodcastsSpotifyDeezerPodcast AddictConnect with Me:Instagram: @roxellechoFacebook: @roxellechoHave a question/feedback?Email: getfused@fusedhawaii.com
Today, I’m very excited to take you behind-the-scenes of my mom life! My 8-year-old joins me on this episode for a casual conversation. My children are the biggest motivating factor in my life. As a mom who juggles too many things, that mom guilt kicks in often, that feeling of not being able to give my children all the attention they deserve. Sometimes we don’t know what goes on in their heads, what they actually feel about things, how their day was - we miss out on these little moments!I hope this will serve as a reminder to all of us moms and even dads out there that you have everything you need. And in those moments where you don’t feel your best, you are enough and your children will love you no matter what. Spend time with your children, give them that one-on-one time, ask them questions, sing with them, laugh with them, tell them how special they are - just spend time with each other because, at the end of the day, it’s these little moments that make life worthwhile.Let me know what you thought about this episode. Aloha!Today, I wanted to answer a question that was brought to me by one of the women in my audience. The question being, “How do I handle negative comments?”In this episode, I answer this question based on how I personally handle negative comments whether it be in business, on social media, and life in general.I remember being teased in first grade about my bikini and it tore my little heart apart. Today, in my adult life, negative comments come on the regular. The more I’ve grown in business, as an entrepreneur, as a brand influencer, as a leader in my community of tens of thousands of women, the more I see negative comments come up. They never stop. You just learn how to deal with them. However, I’ve come a long way in handling negativity in life and business and I want to share with you what I’ve learned in those experiences and how I overcome negative comments today. So, join me in this episode, and let's tackle this topic once and for all.
