As always, I don’t have a script or structure to this episode, I just want you to see my process as it unfolds - including the good and the ugly.I wanted to change my view about Mondays. I realized that my negative view about Mondays also started to affect my view of Sundays and let it even creep into my Saturdays. So today, I did things that made me feel good. I felt grateful and fully present in the moment. Find your way home. If we can rewire our brains about Mondays, how much more about other things. Rewire your brain and teach it to always be able to find your way home. All you have do is to be in the moment. Allow your body to guide you to find your path home. What is your version of home? How does it smell and look like? Allow your mind and body to find its way home. Connect:Have any questions, comments, or stories you’d like to share with us? http://www.soyouthinkyoucanentrepreneur.comMany if not all gurus sell you the dream of being an “entrepreneur” without mentioning the nightmare you go through to reach entrepreneurial success - the failure rate for entrepreneurship is 80% but it can be a lot lower – you do not have to be part of this statistics. The issue is that when they sell you the programs they do not prepare you for the obstacle courses and the nightmares you have to go through, that is why many just give up in the middle as in their mind it wasn’t supposed to be that way - they were supposed to follow the million dollars formula and achieve success, happiness and moneyBUT it doesn’t work that way - I am very forthcoming with what you can expect to be an entrepreneur, womanpreneur, small business owner or a start up. What is an entrepreneur? It is someone who goes beyond the traditional paradigm of employment into one that is much grander and more exciting. The entrepreneur is a person who takes risks and is involved directly with the art and process of creating, out of nothing, something valuable to someone else. The entrepreneur has become the “rainmaker” of corporate America and is transforming the economies of the world. The entrepreneur is powerful! Add a female entrepreneur to the mix and you get a womanpreneur! Someone who is even more powerful and more influential because she has a determined spirit that weaves our cultural fabric. A womanpreneur incorporates her business, her faith, and her family into every day. Dr. Carolyn Edwards (a/k/a Dr. E) was born and raised in Washington, DC and is a Howard University Alum. She holds a Masters and Doctorate degree in management. Dr. E’s “Life Journey”, “Dreams” and “Life Mosaic” Programs have been used around the country to help others achieve their dreams, develop character and live authentic lives. She is the author of two children’s books and three writing journals which have been used in non-profit, government, education, religious and personal programs to help empower others through writing to live purposeful lives. After ten years as a college professor, Dr. E realized that helping empower children can be the catalyst for more productive adult decisions. Therefore, her children’s books “I Can Be” and “Fun With Money” are a step to provide children with knowledge and tools early in their lives that can shape their minds for positive, peace filled, purposed and authentic lives.
