We have all been there, you think you can do something yourself to save a buck. Problem is you end up spending your valuable time trying to figure out something you have no knowledge of to avoid spending money and it ends up costing you way more money in the long run. A guy called me over the weekend asking for advice on creating a new website for him because his girlfriend created the first one and they broke up so she was threatening to take it down. He hesitated on spending the money thinking he could do it himself. I asked him how many websites he had created and he said, "well, none." I reminded him of the time it would take for him to figure out how to create a website when he could be working on his business and hand it over to an expert. It got me thinking about the reasons hiring a marketing expert will save you time and money in the long run. Check out "5 Reasons You Need a Marketing Pro" on the next episode of the DO IT MY WAY Podcast. As a business owner, your time is your most valuable asset. Spend it wisely!

Our social media still had daily content, our clients were still billed on the correct day, our meetings ran without a hitch and our clients' needs were met. Why? We have systems and processes in place. We have automated emails, social media scheduling, and automated billing. Check out the 5 game-changing tips to step away from your business and still make money on the latest episode of the DO IT MY WAY Podcast!

In this listener-favorite episode, I'm breaking down 6 ways I see coaches leave money on the table all the time—and honestly, most of them don't even realize they're doing it. This isn't about adding more to your plate. It's about stopping the habits that quietly sabotage your revenue and your reach. This is real talk for coaches who want to get paid and make a difference—without separating the two. If you're serious about building a coaching business that's profitable and powerful—without selling out or shrinking back—you need to hear this. This isn't exclusively about money—it's about being in full integrity with the powerful coaching you're here to offer. Let's get you earning more and serving more this year. In this episode, I talk about: Why not preparing clients to renew is a huge (and avoidable) income leak. The one offer upgrade every coach should be making—but most aren't. What I say to reconnect with past clients and leads (even years later). My simple quarterly habit for raising fees with clarity and confidence. A mindset shift that makes offers feel natural, not needy. ~~ For full show notes, transcript, and to explore the Sacred Money Archetypes® Certification, click here: www.themoneycoachschoolpodcast.com/84

Send us a textMeet Erin Mahoney, a trailblazing entrepreneur who's redefining what it means to be a female business owner in the historically male-dominated roofing industry. As founder of The RoofHer in Columbus, Ohio, Erin's journey from addiction to successful business ownership offers a powerful blueprint for resilience and determination in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles.Throughout our conversation, Erin candidly shares the challenges she's encountered as one of the mere 4.6% of women in the roofing field. Rather than letting gender bias defeat her, she turned knowledge into her superpower, pursuing extensive training and mastering hands-on skills that many of her male counterparts lacked. "I had to know way more than the boys had to know," she explains, revealing how she transformed potential disadvantages into her competitive edge. What truly sets Erin's story apart is how she navigated the darker chapters of her entrepreneurial journey. When a former employer registered her trademarked business name to block her progress, Erin found herself at a crossroads – retaliate or respond with grace. Drawing on principles learned through four years of sobriety and recovery, she chose the harder but ultimately more powerful path forward. "I know there's no peace in retaliation," she reflects, "but I also know I have a voice for a reason, and I'm done being silenced."The parallels between Erin's recovery journey and her business challenges reveal profound insights about personal transformation. Her description of rebuilding herself after addiction resonates universally: "When you feel like you're just broken and all the pieces are laying on the ground... the cool part is you get to pick them up and form them into a foundational structure that is not breakable, and you can leave pieces on the ground that don't serve you anymore."Erin's story isn't just about roofing – it's about finding purpose through adversity, transforming trauma into strength, and creating space for authenticity in environments that resist change. Her pink truck isn't just a marketing gimmick; it's a bold statement about claiming space in an industry that wasn't designed for women, yet desperately needs their perspective and talent.Ready to be inspired by raw honesty and unwavering determination? Listen to Erin's full story and discover what happens when recovery principles meet entrepreneurial spirit – creating a foundation stronger than any roof she's ever built. I met with a wellness company the other day to pitch a marketing plan. They needed leads ASAP and I could have just pitched a Facebook + Instagram ad campaign and got the business, but that is not what they needed. Their website had no human connection, no emotion, just scientific facts about their product that no one will relate to. I suggested they do a website rebrand and add real stories of how the product had helped so many people get life changing results, including the owner! The cost overwhelmed them, which I understand, but they were looking at marketing all wrong. You have to stop thinking of marketing as a cost and start seeing it as an investment for long term success! Marketing isn't an expense—it's the growth engine of your business! Check out the 5 ways investing in marketing will pay off for your business on the latest episode of the DO IT MY WAY Podcast!
