Since we have this living hope, we don't lose heart, even when outwardly we are wasting away and the world seems lost. Inwardly we are renewed day after day because of the Spirit and to Eternal Glory that awaits us.
While we struggle living in the muck of this life, we have a Living Hope alive in us and therefore are constantly displaying the Life of Jesus in our bodies.

As we get to this point in the Sermon on the Mount Jesus has been teaching about a superior righteousness that flows out of a heart of faith. A righteousness that images Him as our Dad rather than a righteousness that merely follows rules.
