9 As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax-collection station, and he said to him, "Follow me." And he got up and followed him. 10 And as he sat at dinner in the house, many tax collectors and sinners came and were sitting with Jesus and his disciples. 11 When the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?" 12 But when he heard this, he said, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. 13 Go and learn what this means, 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous but sinners." 18 While he was saying these things to them, suddenly a leader came in and knelt before him, saying, "My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live." 19 And Jesus got up and followed him, with his disciples. 20 Then suddenly a woman who had been suffering from a flow of blood for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his cloak, 21 for she was saying to herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be made well." 22 Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, "Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that moment. 23 When Jesus came to the leader's house and saw the flute players and the crowd making a commotion, 24 he said, "Go away, for the girl is not dead but sleeping." And they laughed at him. 25 But when the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took her by the hand, and the girl got up. 26 And the report of this spread through all of that district.
Pastor Nathan continues the sermon series in the book of Matthew on Sunday morning, June 7, 2026. (Matthew 6:19-24)
As we've studied Acts, we've seen again and again how God's Spirit and His Word work together. In Acts 20, Pastor Nathan shows how the Holy Spirit brought Old Testament scripture to Paul's remembrance, shaping his response in a moment of need. Far from being disconnected stories, the Scriptures become living instruction in the hands of the Spirit. This message challenges us to know God's Word deeply so we can recognize His leading when He brings it to mind.
In this sermon, Pastor Nathan asks: “What are you waiting for? Can you trust God while you wait?” We can't hurry God. Pastor reads the Scripture passage and teaches about how Abraham had to trust God and wait for many years for God to fulfill His promises to him. Pastor Nathan preaches that The Lord: […]

19 When it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and the doors were locked where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you." 20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. 21 Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you." 22 When he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained."
What if Christianity was never meant to become a religion? In this powerful Pentecost Sunday message through Hebrews 7–8, Pastor Nathan Bentley unpacks one of the most overlooked truths in the Bible: Jesus did not come to create another religious system—He came to restore relationship between God and man.Through the mystery of Melchizedek, the role of Jesus as our great High Priest, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2, and the contrast between religion and relationship, this sermon confronts the spirit of religion that subtly creeps into churches, traditions, and even personal faith. This message explores the difference between covenant and intimacy, dead religion versus Spirit-filled relationship, why Pentecost changed everything, and how revival throughout history has always been opposed by religious systems. Pastor Nathan also examines how Christianity was viewed in the first century, why early believers were accused of atheism, how religion stopped moves of God throughout church history, and why the Holy Spirit still desires to cut hearts today just like He did in Acts 2.If you've ever struggled with performance-based Christianity, fear, shame, burnout, or feeling distant from God, this message is a wake-up call back to intimacy with Jesus and surrender to the Holy Spirit. For more on LifePoint Church go to lifepointaz.com Check out our merch store https://lifepointaz-shop.fourthwall.comFind all our links in one easy spot https://linktr.ee/lifepointaz Follow us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/lifepointaz Follow us on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/lifepointchurchaz/

Join Pastor Nathan Futrell for Week 6 of, "Jesus Said What?" In John 6, Jesus says, “eat my flesh and drink my blood,” not to promote cannibalism, but to show that He is our source of true life. Just as our bodies need food and water, our souls need Jesus daily, not as an occasional supplement, but as our sustenance. The sermon compares our physical need for nutrients to our spiritual need for God's presence, prayer, and Scripture. Studies even show that engaging with Scripture four or more times a week reduces loneliness, anger, and spiritual stagnation while deepening community and faith. We're called to build daily rhythms around spiritual nourishment and rediscover that God is not bitter medicine, but truly good. Communion reminds us that Jesus gave His body and blood so we could be restored to the full, satisfying relationship with God we were created for.

[Jesus said to the disciples:] 1 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And you know the way to the place where I am going." 5 Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?" 6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you know me, you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him." 8 Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied." 9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and you still do not know me? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, but if you do not, then believe because of the works themselves. 12 Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If in my name you ask me for anything, I will do it."

This week at Skybreak Church, we continue our series Raising Parents with an impactful sermon titled "Prepare Now or Repair Later". This message challenges parents to shift from protecting their kids from life to preparing them for it. Pastor Nathan reminds us of Jesus's words in Matthew 7:9-11. Good parenting isn't just about giving kids everything they want, it's about giving them what truly prepares them for life. You don't have to be a perfect family, just a fully devoted one. "We don't need to exaggerate who they are, we need to emphasize who they're becoming." -Pastor Nathan Green. Let's stop choosing what's easy now and start building what lasts generations.
