Pastor Nick brings the fifth message from our Christmas 2024 series called 'Given'. The theme 'Given' comes from Isaiah 9:6, which says prophetically that 'A son will be given to us'. The fifth message of the Christmas series is called 'Peace'. You can follow the message along in the YouVersion bible app at http://bible.com/events/49362945 and add your own notes! watch the entire service on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UATd618FsR4 Click http://bcc.life/whats-on to find out about all our events and activities. Click http://bcc.life/give to access our giving page, where you can return your tithes to God, bring an offering or make a donation! If you ever need to know how to make Jesus the Lord of your life and come home to Father God, here is a great prayer you can pray: "Lord Jesus, I am so sorry for my wrongdoing. Please forgive me for being separated from you and from other people. I receive into you my life as Lord. Please lead me from now on. I surrender to you. I believe that you died on the cross to take away my sins, that you rose again on the third day and that you are alive and with me now. I accept you into my life. Please help me to live for you. Thank you for your gift of eternal life for now and for ever. Amen." If you prayed this prayer, please let us know! It's the best decision you can ever make, and we would love to celebrate that with you! Nativity of Our Lord—Christmas Day Bible Readings Micah 5:2-5a, Galatians 4:4-7, John 1:1-8, 9-13, 14-18 Worship Folder Pastor Paul A. Tullberg Sermon text: John 1:1-18 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him everything was made, and without him not one thing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of mankind. 5 The light is shining in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. 6 There was a man, sent from God, whose name was John. 7 He came as an eyewitness to testify about the light so that everyone would believe through him. 8 He was not the light, but he came to testify about the light. 9 The real light that shines on everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to what was his own, yet his own people did not accept him. 12 But to all who did receive him, to those who believe in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. 13 They were born, not of blood, or of the desire of the flesh, or of a husband's will, but born of God. 14 The Word became flesh and dwelled among us. We have seen his glory, the glory he has as the only-begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 John testified about him. He cried out, “This was the one I spoke about when I said, ‘The one coming after me outranks me because he existed before me.'” 16 For out of his fullness we have all received grace upon grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God. The only-begotten Son, who is close to the Father's side, has made him known. The Holy Bible, Evangelical Heritage Version®, EHV®, © 2019 Wartburg Project, Inc. All rights reserved.
