Ashling tells Anne about the murder of Steen Fenrich, a 19-year-old African-American gay man who lived in Queens, New York. In March 2000 his dismembered remains were discovered. Police believe his stepfather killed him in a homophobic rage.
In this episode of Gimme Some Murder, Anne tells Ashling about the Coniston Massacre that occurred in Central Australia in 1928. The Coniston Massacre was the last known officially sanctioned massacre of Indigenous Australians and lasted for three months. Beginning as a response to the murder of a hunter named Frederick Brooks by an Aboriginal man, at least 31 people were killed as a result, although Aboriginal oral histories reveal the number of fatalities could be closer to 200.
On Gimme Some Murder's second mini-episode, Anne tells Ashling about the suspicious disappearance of 18 year old Virginia Sampare, who vanished one night from Gitsegukla Indian Band, and a little bit of the history of the Highway of Tears in British Columbia, Canada.
In their first mini-episode, Ashling tells Anne about the murder of trans-woman Selena Reyes-Hernandez. On May 31 2020 in Chicago, Illinois,, 37-year old Selena was shot and killed by 18 year old Orlando Perez.

On December 4th, 1995, Roxanne Ellis and Michelle Abdill , a lesbian couple living in Medford OR, went missing from a property they owned after showing it to a potential renter. Three days later their bodies were found in the back of a truck in an abandoned parking lot. Reported missing on January 10th 1983 by his father, Wallace's disappeared from Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, Washington.
