This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE Long before Hollywood turned it into a franchise, the Conjuring house had a reputation that made even seasoned investigators hesitate at the front door. Ed and Lorraine Warren felt it instantly—an energy so charged, so undeniably alive, that Ed once joked their entire career could be defined by that single, sinister farmhouse. But the Conjuring house isn't folklore. It isn't fiction. And according to those who walk its floors today, whatever stirred there decades ago… never left. This episode of The Grave Talks features Eric Vitale of the New England Society for Paranormal Research—one of the rare investigators granted access to the home that shaped modern ghost lore. Eric takes us inside his recent investigation: the rooms that felt watched, the questions that went unanswered, and the moments that suggested the house itself still decides who gets too close. What happens when a living investigator steps into a place the Warrens once warned others to respect? And what, exactly, is waiting in the dark corners of the Conjuring house today? #ConjuringHouse #EdAndLorraineWarren #RealHauntings #ParanormalInvestigation #NESPR #EricVitale #HauntedHistory #GhostStories #TheGraveTalks #SupernaturalEncounters #DemonicInfestation #HauntedPlaces Love real ghost stories? Who doesn't like magic tricks? I love watching magicians trying to surprise the audience with their slight of hand tricks. Always fascinates me and asking how do they do that. What does this have to do with the Parkinson's Experience? Well, my guest today turned to learning magic after he was diagnosed with PD and could no longer work as a nurse. Although his main symptom is bradykinesia or slowness of movement, he is able to perform magic with a little help from getting Deep Brain Stimulation surgery. He performs and has recruited a community of magicians to join him is raising awareness of Parkinson's and fundraise for PD research. His organization is called Slow Motion Magic, and his book and fundraiser is called Conjuring for a Cure. This is an inspirational, positive story you don't want to miss. The Conjuring Franchise has brought us some of the best and scariest movies of all time and to include it's last and final installment, a farewell to the Warrens. But it gets better. I sat down with Leigh Jones, who in my opinion, portrays the scariest character in the movie, Abner (also known as the “Axeman). Leigh is a very talented actor who delivered his role flawlessly. That would be an understatement in my introduction for the talented actor who brought you the role of Abner (also known as the “Axeman). Literally, Leigh's character haunted my dream, and I am sure that he will haunt yours, too. What else can I say about this gentleman? You're going to have to watch the interview yourself to find out. Overall, I am honored to have spoken to him. The Conjuring: Last Rites is a phenomenal movie, and I encourage you to watch it. Also, make sure you stop by Mr. Jones' Instagram page and show him your support.

The battle for Warner Bros. Discovery is seeing a new champion enter the ring, with Netflix making some moves to put their own bid in for the studio's properties. According to Reuters, the streaming pioneer engaged with investment bank Moelis & Co. in order to prepare an offer. Ironically, this is the same bank that worked with David Ellison at Skydance to take over Paramount whose first bid to buy Warner Bros. Discovery was rejected. It was the worst weekend at the box office this year, with ticket sales coming in at just $52.4 million. This also makes it the lowest-grossing Halloween weekend in 31 years, excluding theater closures due to COVID in 2020. While new film Regretting You took in a respectable $50 million, Black Phone 2 really has the crown from the weekend having now brought in $104 million globally - another huge win for horror this year. Yorgos Lanthimos' new film Bugonia, starring Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons, is sitting at a small $11.1 million globally after breaking into more theaters. Both Scream 7 and Stranger Things Season 5 released trailers recently. Stranger Things' official trailer showed us a bit more of what to expect from that property and Scream 7, which releases on February 27, 2026, gave us a glance at the returning original cast members of Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Matthew Lillard, and David Arquette. As we discussed last week, Stranger Things will release in three parts on holiday weekends, four episodes on November 26, three episodes on Christmas Day, and the finale on New Year's Eve.A 'Conjuring' prequel film is in development at Warner Bros. and New Line, with short film director Rodrigue Huart in talks to direct. Franchise veterans Richard Naing and Ian Goldberg, who co-wrote the two prior “Conjuring” films, 2023's “The Nun II” and this September's “The Conjuring: Last Rites,” are on board to pen the screenplay. After landing the rights to turn one of the world's biggest video games into an epic movie, Paramount has now landed two A-list filmmakers to develop it. Sources tell Deadline that Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan and Peter Berg have joined Paramount and Activision to develop and produce a Call of Duty movie, with Paramount distributing a live-action feature film.Hulu has ordered two more seasons of the revived King of the Hill animated series, the 16th and 17th overall and third and fourth seasons as a streaming original. Season 14 premiered in August and is the first half of Hulu's initial two-season, 20-episode order; season 15 is set to debut in 2026.Sam Mendes' four Beatles films have filled out the cast by adding the spouses of the four band members. Saoirse Ronan will play Linda McCartney, Anna Sawai will play Yoko Ono, Aimee Lou Wood will play Pattie Boyd, and Mia McKenna-Bruce will play Maureen Starkey.Ariana Grande has joined the cast of season 13 of American Horror Story, which is currently on track to debut around Halloween 2026.Toho has officially revealed the title of its next “Godzilla” feature that will serve as a sequel to Godzilla: Minus One as “Godzilla -0.0” (Godzilla Minus Zero). The film will once again be written, directed and produced by the same team behind 2023's “Godzilla Minus One.” Currently, there are no plot details, but the studio is currently targeting a release date in late 2026.Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are going back to the desert for The Mummy 4. The film will be directed by the duo known as Radio Silence, composed of Martin Bettinelli-Opin and Tyler Gillett, who directed 2019's Ready or Not.

In this week's chilling episode, Cheryl and Nikki dive into one of Britain's most infamous paranormal cases — The Enfield Haunting. In 1977, a seemingly ordinary council house in Enfield, North London, became the centre of a supernatural storm. Furniture flew, toys hurled themselves across rooms, and a family of four were tormented by a mischievous — and sometimes malicious — poltergeist. But was this the work of the paranormal, or something far more human?Join Cheryl and Nikki as they unpick the chaos that gripped the nation — from the terrified Hodgson family to the investigators from the Society for Psychical Research who risked their reputations chasing ghosts. Along the way, they'll separate fact from fiction, uncover how The Conjuring 2 turned this haunting into Hollywood legend, and ask the ultimate question: was Enfield really haunted, or just the perfect media storm?Expect eerie happenings, questionable recordings, and a few very British ghosts of Christmas past…
Hello Poison Friends! It was still Spooky Season while I was researching for this episode, so we are still on this spooky stuff! This week, I want to talk about a controversial couple who claimed to be self taught demonologists and paranormal experts. Ed and Lorraine Warren are famous for investigating such hauntings as those seen in the Conjuring series, Annabelle, and the Amityville haunting. These are not the only cases they worked on, but it is their most famous. You may have already noticed, but Adam is not with me today. He is sick with a not so fun cold, and one of my besties, Lynn Rockett has been kind enough to take his place for this episode. She knows horror movies like the ones we are mentioning so this will be fun. Annabelle, as many of you may already know, is considered to be a cursed or possessed doll with a violent history--if you believe the Warren's stories, at least. This doll has reportedly moved on its own, written ominous notes, somehow stained itself with what looks like blood, and has even attacked a select few directly and indirectly. One of the Warren's stories claims the doll has killed at least one person while in their possession. The Warrens also worked on the hauntings of he Perron in Rhode Island and a family in Enfield, England. The two separate incidents boasted similar happenings such as strange noises, moving furniture, and basic assault of those living in the homes. There are skeptics who believe the Warrens involvement in these cases were based on fraud, exaggeration, or straight up lies, so let's cover the details and witness accounts on all sides. Finally, we need to cover the Amityville haunting. Before we do, however, we need to briefly go over the DeFeo murders that took place in the house where the hauntings were said to have occurred. When the Lutz family moved in little over a year after the brutal crime that took place there, they started experiencing strange sensations and sounds. This escalated to phenomena such as levitation, swarms of flies, and smells and stains showing up in random places. Even this case had its skeptics however, and there were some interesting confessions that came later. The Warrens were well known for their paranormal investigations and their occult museum. It was not until after Ed's death, however, that some controversies worse than lies and fraud about demons and hauntings would come out, and much of the truth about them still feels hidden. We are back! Had big plans for Spooky Season this year but health, vehicle nonsense, family, and general exhaustion at the state of things in the US had other plans. It was an absolute pleasure talking with Clark Collis about his new book Screaming and Conjuring on the last episode and to follow it up we've brought back an incredible guest and we're diving back into the work of one of the undisputed Masters of Horror™. A few years ago we covered Romero's debut film and foundational masterpiece The Night of the Living Dead with Filmspotting's Josh Larsen. Romero's Dead movies are something we'd like to revisit sometime here at The Substance but today we're looking at a long hidden gem from early in his career that only recently became widely available, The Amusement Park.Commissioned by The Lutheran Society of Western Pennsylvania as a PSA on the perils of aging in America (especially as a non wealthy White), Romero decided to boldly make the project his own and instead of an after school special with talking heads discussing the difficulties that our senior neighbors face, he turned in something surreal and terrifying. With minimal dialogue the film conjures up the horrors of aging in an individualistic capitalist society: steep economic cost, difficulties with transportation, not being taken seriously by the general public, red tape accessing medical care, predatory assisted living facilities, and more. It's not a fun time but it's a visceral experience and one that stirs up questions worth asking related to what we owe to our more elderly neighbors. And we are delighted to be joined by Dale_A from the Bat & Spider podcast. In this forty-third installment of fictional horror written and narrated by Dan Cummins, we head back to 1985, when ten year-old Ryan Mellard and three friends went trick-or-treating for the first time without parental supervision. When they passed by The Dead House, a site supposedly haunted by the ghost of a woman who used to live there, they dared Ryan to enter. And what he found inside changed him forever. Happy Halloween! Expecting one guest in the Acement we end up with two. Carl and Keith Johnson (Demonologist/Paranomal Investigators) join Scott and Ace for Scottober. Ghosts, ghouls, goblins, aliens, millennials-dressing-up-weird-because-they-can't-afford-homes-but-they-can-splurge-on-hair-dye, and candy corn...It's that time of year again — October 2025, when brainrot meets toothrot on All Hallow's Eve.And this week, we're concluding our two-part special that'll keep you shivering in your skivvies.Carol Malone, a forensic paranormal scientist, has been featured on the Travel Channel and consulted for television and film. Known as the godmother of forensic science in the paranormal world, Carol bridges the gap between laboratory precision and the unexplained. She's spent three decades applying forensic methodologies - from blood-spatter analysis to environmental baselining - to haunted locations, turning ghost stories into data points and cold cases into energy maps. She's no run-of-the-mill "paranormal investigator" or "ghost hunter" or "Jack Osbourne." (RIP Ozzy btw. We love your stuff). No no...she is a seeker of proof! And since she was friends with Ed and Lorraine Warren (see: The Conjuring or The Demonologist or The Amityville Horror or....The Conjuring 2...) and they let you into the inner circle, she's gotta be doing something right! In Part Two, she speaks with Greg about: -Why paranormal apps are mostly junk science (and dangerously misleading).-How the Mind Machine triggered a glowing cross witnessed by 50 people.-The forensic evidence that consciousness interacts with physical matter.-Why mainstream science fears paranormal proof more than ghosts themselves.-The moment reality stopped behaving like… reality. And did we mention it's scary?!?!Happy Halloween, Loopers. This is the perfect spoooooky listen while you're stuck in the upside-down and your only two choices for podcasts are this or Joe Rogan....good luck. Find Carol on her Facebook page at FPI Unsolved: https://www.facebook.com/fpi.unsolved Let Greg know how you like the show. This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE! Few names in paranormal history carry as much weight as Ed and Lorraine Warren — the pioneering investigators behind The Amityville Horror, The Conjuring, and The Enfield Poltergeist. Their work redefined how the world views hauntings, demonic possession, and the battle between good and evil. But their story didn't end with them. Their grandson, Christopher Edward McKinnell, continues their mission as head of The Warren Legacy Foundation for Paranormal Research. Growing up under the guidance of two of the most famous demonologists in history, Chris witnessed firsthand the courage, compassion, and danger that came with facing the supernatural. In this episode of The Grave Talks, Chris reveals what it was really like growing up with Ed and Lorraine Warren as grandparents, how accurate Hollywood's portrayals truly are, the shocking moment a bed flew off the ground during an investigation, and how the Warrens' infamous Occult Museum safely contains some of the world's darkest forces. Step into the legacy of the Warrens — where faith, fear, and the fight against evil are all in a day's work.
