This week, the Good Moms are asking a very important question: Are you a lesbian for real? Erica and Milah get into everything from Daphne Joy’s leaked sex tape to bisexual flirting, Milah’s affinity for soft studs, and why women seem to get crucified forever for choices they made years ago. The moms unpack the internet’s obsession with tearing down beautiful women, why society gives men a pass while women become cautionary tales, and whether technology has made public humiliation a form of entertainment. The ladies also talk about how to navigate having conversations with your kids about Pride and all things LGBTQ+, and their own queer escapades. In this episode, you’ll hear: • Why people seem to love watching beautiful women fall from grace • The double standards facing women like Nia Long, Vivica Fox, and Daphne Joy • Why drugs, bad decisions, or messy relationships never justify exploitation • The risks and realities of filming sex tapes, sending nudes, and navigating intimacy in the digital age • A conversation about "high value" men, baby mama stigma, and why every woman deserves dignity regardless of her relationship status • Milah's latest encounter with a soft stud and why flirting with women can be harder than flirting with men • Why Erica might be gay... until the real lesbians show up • Why the Good Moms proudly identify as toxic bi's • Chavaunist pillow princess jealous bisexuals • Talking to kids about Pride and all things LGBTQ. When do you do it? Bad Choice of the Week: When a hookup (or lack thereof) with a podcast guest doesn't exactly go according to plan. Tune in for a hilarious and honest conversation about sexuality, public judgment, internet pile-ons, old Hollywood, modern dating, and why women deserve more grace than the internet is willing to give them. --------------------------------------------- Watch this episode and more on YouTube. Send us Fan MailKey lime pie as a hard cider sounds like a gimmick until you taste it. We crack open Windridge Imperial Key Lime Pie (8.3% ABV) and get smacked with bright lime, dessert sweetness, and a tangy edge that honestly drinks closer to a sour beer than most ciders. We talk real tasting notes, how the “semi-sweet” label lands, and why high-ABV craft cider can be way more dangerous than it looks when it's this crushable. Then the hang turns into story time: Ricky recaps a 38-mile canoe camping trip where the wind can push you backward if you stop paddling, plus all the little details that make an outdoor weekend feel earned. From steaks and sausages to a one-pan chicken, bacon, cheddar pasta that's actually worth making at home, we keep it practical, opinionated, and very on brand for a drinks podcast that loves food as much as it loves the pour. In the second half, we switch to Windridge Imperial Baked Apple and chase that apple pie and cinnamon profile that screams campfire season. We even dig into where the cidery is in Pennsylvania and what else we'd try from their variety pack, before jumping into “Ricky's Bad Choices,” a rapid-fire card game that takes the conversation off the rails in the best way. This week on Good Moms Bad Choices, Erica and Milah are talking mom guilt, summer pressure, and the realization that the kids are probably doing just fine. As summer approaches and the kids invade the house 24/7, the Good Moms unpack the reality of modern motherhood: trying to create “core memories,” keep up with overachieving moms, manage work, relationships, and still remember to feed yourself (and maybe smoke a little weed in peace). They get raw about comparison culture, over-scheduled childhoods, and how the shit we went through as kids quietly creeps into how we parent today. If you’ve ever felt like you’re not doing enough, this one’s for you. You can also expect to hear Why Erica says mom guilt is made up by the patriarchy The pressure to create “magical summers” and core memories (and why that’s exhausting as hell) How comparison culture, school moms, and social media are making parenting feel like a never-ending performance Moms who are running themselves into the ground trying to do it all (STEM camps, activities, enrichment, all of it) The radical idea that the kids are probably doing just fine Bad Choice of the Week: Falling for yet another love-bombing white man. Whorie Time: A threesome of chaos: Larry, his brother, and the broker — an intertwined hoe-tale you don’t see coming. Tune in for a funny, honest, slightly high conversation about motherhood, mom guilt, summer expectations, race, dating, and giving yourself a lot more grace. This week, the Good Moms are calling BS on the internet’s obsession with shaming single moms. Erica and Milah tap in about Dr. Sarah and all the “high value” think pieces that act like a woman’s worth is measured by how many kids she has and whether somebody’s calling her “wife.” They break down why that mindset is dangerous for Black single moms especially, how it keeps women stuck in trash relationships, and why your value has nothing to do with your relationship status. In this episode, you’ll hear: Why single moms are not the problem, no matter what the algorithm says The difference between holding your friends accountable and publicly clowning women for clicks How fear of being a “single mom” keeps people in relationships they should’ve left five years ago Real talk on baby daddies, boundaries, and loving yourself more than you love the potential Bad Choice of the Week: macro shrooms in the desert, calling for backup on kid pickup, and making a new plug friend Whorie Time: a sunrise threesome, one condom left, and two very enthusiastic cannabis kings Why “Don’t Be a Dumb Bitch” is less an insult and more a love note and lifestyle Tune in for a raw, hilarious episode about calling out single‑mom shame, making “bad” choices that still lead to growth, and redefining your worth in love, sex, and motherhood. --------------------------------------------- Watch this episode and more on YouTube. Send us Fan MailCherry soda as a wheat ale sounds like a gimmick until you taste it. We pop open a Cheerwine inspired cherry wheat ale from the Carolinas and get real about what works and what doesn't: the cherry flavor is spot on, but the wheat finish is loud, and it turns into a bigger conversation about how much a base style matters when the flavor is otherwise nailed. If you're a Blue Moon fan or you love fruit beer, you'll know exactly what we're talking about, and we even toss out a few ways to dress it up with fruit and a sugar rim. From there, the mics drift into food mode with camping-friendly recipes and the kind of practical kitchen talk that actually helps. We break down a smash taco chicken parm idea for the Blackstone, including what we'd change next time to boost flavor, texture, and heat. Then we jump to Mediterranean meal prep with glazed salmon, sweet potato cubes that come out like little candies, and a quick pickled radish trick that feels like a cheat code for adding bite and brightness. After the break, we pour a Concord grape sour from Edmond's Oast Brewing in Charleston, South Carolina and end up surprised by how balanced and drinkable it is. Things go from tasting notes to jokes to a “Bad Choices” question run that gets personal fast, and we close with weekend wins like golf and a whirlyball office showdown. Send us Fan MailThree IPAs, one variety pack, and zero patience for fake tasting-note nonsense. We crack open BrewDog Hop Fiction, BrewDog American IPA, and Hazy Jane Double Hazy and talk like real drinkers: how much grapefruit shows up, where the bitterness hits, what changes as the beer warms, and which one is actually “crushable” enough to buy again. If you love IPAs but hate when they taste like straight-up citrus peel, our ranking is built for you. Things get sideways fast when we start comparing everything to Wingman and Elvis Juice, then stumble into BrewDog's DogHouse hotel near Columbus. Yes, the one with shower beers and in-room taps. We also swap real-life chaos stories, including getting knocked out by a rough sick week, battling yard drainage after heavy rain, and that moment when tornado weather makes you wonder where you'd even hide if you don't have a basement. Then we pivot to food because beer deserves backup. Ricky walks through his “cowboy sushi” Traeger cook: a bacon weave wrapped around a meatloaf-style filling with cream cheese and smoked pepper gouda, finished with a high-heat crisp and a glaze that locks everything in. Are you constantly worried your teen is making bad choices—and feel like consequences are the only way to “teach them a lesson”? You're not alone. And you're not wrong to care. But what if the very thing you're doing to prevent bad decisions is actually making them worse? In this episode, we're digging into one of the biggest parenting traps: punishing behavior instead of teaching the skills behind it. Because when your teen makes a risky, impulsive, or frustrating choice, it's easy to assume they're being careless, defiant, or just not thinking. But there's something much deeper going on—and once you see it, everything about how you respond will start to shift. This isn't about letting your teen “get away with it.” And it's definitely not about lowering your standards. It's about understanding what your teen actually needs in those moments so they can learn to make better decisions without you hovering, nagging, or constantly stepping in. Because the goal isn't to control their choices forever… It's to raise a teen who can think for themselves when you're not there. If you've ever: Replayed a bad decision your teen made and wondered, “What were they thinking?” Felt stuck between being too strict or too lenient Worried that giving more freedom will just lead to worse choices This episode is going to give you a completely different lens—and a better way forward. WHAT YOU'LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE Why teens make choices that don't make sense to you (but make perfect sense to them) The hidden reason punishment often leads to more lying, hiding, and disconnection What your teen actually needs in the moment of a bad decision (hint: it's not a lecture) How to help your teen build real decision-making skills—without constant power struggles A simple mindset shift that changes how you respond immediately

A 20-year online feud that began on a community website ended with a meticulously planned attack inside a BC courtroom—red clothes to hide blood, a packed suitcase, a knife and a hammer, and alcohol for courage. We walk through how the trial judge weighed mental health evidence against extensive planning, why the NCRMD standard remains a high bar, and how appellate courts defer to sentencing judges unless there's a clear error. You'll hear exactly why a 12-year sentence held firm despite arguments for reduced moral culpability. Then we pivot to a case that could change how your parcels land at your door. Consumer Protection BC ruled that “delivered to the consumer” means more than GPS at your address and a hand-off to an unknown person. When a buyer never saw his $500‑plus item, Amazon leaned on coordinates and history; the regulator leaned on the statute. The result: a full refund, legal costs, and a $10,000 penalty. We break down distance sales contracts, the 30‑day delivery rule, and why terms of service can't erase statutory rights. For shoppers, this means real recourse when packages vanish. For sellers, it means building proof that the consumer actually received the goods—think signatures, verified IDs, or explicit consent for alternative delivery methods.Along the way, we highlight the role of courthouse sheriffs in preventing tragedy, the practical meaning of mitigation at sentencing, and the evidence standards that separate suspicion from proof in both criminal and consumer contexts. If you care about justice, safety, and what “delivered” really means, this conversation will sharpen your understanding and give you steps you can use today. If you found this useful, follow the show, share it with a friend, and leave a quick review so more listeners can find it. What's your take: should high‑value deliveries always require a signature?Follow this link for a transcript of the show and links to the cases discussed.

In the first episode of The Scarcity Trap, host Danny challenges the comfortable but dangerous myth that poverty is a personal failing. We begin by dissecting the quiet judgments we make in the grocery store line and confront the "bootstrap" narrative head-on. Then, we journey to the sugarcane fields of rural India to uncover a landmark study that flips our understanding of poverty on its head. Learn how researchers discovered that the mental strain of scarcity imposes a massive "bandwidth tax" on the mind, with a measurable effect on cognitive function equivalent to losing an entire night's sleep. The results are staggering, suggesting that poverty isn't just a lack of money—it's a lack of cognitive resources. This episode introduces the core concept that will guide our entire series: the problem isn't the person; it's the condition. We discuss how some breweries (like 311 in Chardon) go to extraordinary lengths for pumpkin authenticity, literally dumping entire 21-inch pumpkin pies—crust and all—into their brewing tanks. The mental image of brewers struggling to upend these massive pies brings as much joy as the perfectly balanced flavors in our glasses.Switching gears dramatically, we sample Hoofhearted Brewing's Club Paradise, an 8% ABV tiki-inspired sour ale that combines pineapple, coconut, strawberry, lime, and vanilla into something truly special. Despite its complex ingredient list, the predominant strawberry note harmonizes beautifully with subtle cookie-like undertones, earning this adventurous brew a perfect 10/10 from both hosts. At $20 for a four-pack, it's definitely a splurge, but one we heartily recommend for sour lovers seeking something extraordinary.Beyond the beers themselves, we take a hilarious detour through Hoofhearted's irreverent website, marveling at their outrageously named brews and creative can designs. From "Combat Spandex" to "Key Bump" and beyond, their artistic approach to beer branding deserves recognition even if you never taste a drop. Pair all this with our recurring "Ricky's Bad Choices" segment (featuring confessions about shoplifting, suspended licenses, and ill-advised gambling), and you've got an episode as complex and satisfying as the beverages in our glasses.Support the showwww.anotherreasontodrink.com

Calling out inappropriate CFI behavior! John and Todd dig into the details of a fatal September 2023 accident involving a night training flight. The student's regular instructor was not available, and this was the first training with a different CFI.The CFI's actions were unprofessional and inappropriate. He uploaded posts to Snapchat before and during the flight. In a post uploaded prior to the flight, the CFI complained about how long the student took to do a preflight inspection. John Goglia reminds that a preflight inspection should take as long as necessary! The CFI was the pilot-in-command of the flight. He made critical decisions that put the aircraft in danger and likely led to the crash. While returning from the night training flight, the CFI ignored storms in the area and pressed on instead of landing at an alternate airport. The plane encountered severe turbulence and broke up in flight, killing the CFI and the student. In other news, the Mental Health in Aviation Act of 2025 now under consideration in the U.S. would improve aviation safety. Interest in the issue was spurred in part by the latest season of HBO's “The Rehearsal” in which John Goglia helped highlight pilot mental health issues. The U.S. House of Representatives has passed the act, and it is now before the Senate. This legislation would make it less likely that pilots and air traffic controllers who take medications for mental health issues would keep their FAA certifications. Contact your senator to support the legislation.
