This episode may seem heavier when you think of the subject or look at the title but honestly, recording it brought me light more than darkness. God is near those who are navigating &/or anticipating loss. Joel, the guest on this episode was my grandmothers hospice chaplain. I met him one time before she passed away in January & knew he was someone I wanted to have on here with me one day. My grandmother loved him instantly when she met him. She couldn't wait for me to meet Joel. I can see why after getting to know him more. Enjoy this episode. It's a little heart tugging, a little healing, & more..Joel quotes this:“We bereaved are not alone. We belong to the largest company in all the world--the company of those who have known suffering.”― Helen KellerSupport the show

From pg 182 of the "Draw the Circle" prayer challenge:"History belongs to the intercessors" More notes from one of my favorite books on this topic:If you intercede for others, you'd better make sure that others are interceding for you.Intercession is spiritual warfare. It's not for the faint. By definition, praying hard is hard. There will be times that our heart is breaking because of a prayer burden. No victory has ever been won apart from prayer & praise. Prayer is the pen that writes history. Support the show
Enjoy this episode with Ryan Hollis - centered around battling addiction &/or loving others well who are battling. Addictions come in many forms & can quickly become idols replacing our focus on the Lord. I believe this will touch every listener in a personal way ❤️Let this song wash over you: https://youtu.be/ax1xgLTE3I4Support the show
Nicole Gumble is one of the most solid women. She is a fierce believer, so wise, constantly sharpening me, & truly the most disciplined person I've ever met. Discipline doesn't look the same on her though because it's rooted in truth + vision. She's a mother, wife, business owner, & servant leader in many ways. If growing your discipline is something you desire to do spiritually &/or within your day - this episode is for you!Support the show
