(but thanks for that quote anyway). Hosted by Klein, Ally, and a cast of weirdos (both on the team and from their audience), the show is known for its raw, offbeat style, offering a mix of sarcastic banter, candid interviews, and an unfiltered take on everything from culture to the chaos of everyday life. Comedy has changed. Gone are the days of prop comedy. Insult comedy is mostly unheard of. Even just regular old stand-up is making way for incessant crowd work. But the thing about trends is that they get stale. That's why Trevor is bravely doing whatever he feels like. That, and because he feels like it.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
VR6 - For today's Vapid Response Wednesday, Thomas, Lydia, and Matt review two examples from a newly-popular genre of lazy right wing op-eds: insecure white guys complaining about Supreme Court justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. What is with these losers who are so obsessed with trying to prove that one of the most qualified nominees to the high court in our lifetimes isn't fit for the job? We take dark-money sugar baby Josh Hammer up on the joke to compare his life achievements to someone who began her SCOTUS career with four times as much courtroom experience as John Roberts, Elena Kagan, Clarence Thomas, and Amy Coney Barrett combined--before moving on to trying to even understand what Federalist weirdo Shawn Fleetwood thinks he is saying. “Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is an Insult to the Supreme Court,” Josh Hammer, Newsweek (7/1/2025) “KBJ Could Learn a Few Lessons in ‘Professionalism' From Justice Barrett,” Shawn Fleetwood, The Federalist (8/20/2025) Ketanji Brown Jackson's career timeline from the Southern Poverty Law Center (4/7/22) Watch on YouTube!

“I treated him like my brother – the one I didn't kill.”In a desperate bid for topical relevancy, we thought the release of The Naked Gun reboot was a good reason to go back and review the only entry in that series to feature an exploding helicopter: The Naked Gun 33 1/3 – The Final Insult.Joining us on this show is Doug Tilley (that's t-i-l-l-E-y] from Cinema Smorgasbord. Sermon Notes Matthew 12: 34 . Check us out at: https://citylightvicksburg.org/ Or check us out here: https://www.facebook.com/citylightvicksburg . Question: is cursing or using curse words wrong? And what about substitutes? Answer: When we use our words carelessly and flippantly, they lose their value and power. Words matter deeply in our faith, and go much further than just “cursing.” It’s more complicated - the Bible doesn’t define communication by vocabulary, but rather our intention. . We misuse words when we use them to weaponize our anger. There are 4 and 5 letter words that dehumanize others, or turn our anger to hurt someone else. “Whoever says ‘you fool’ you are liable to the fires of hell.” This text begins with a caution against murder, but there are three parallels that Christ makes - “anger with brother leaves you liable to your brother. Insults leave you liable to the Sanhedrin/council. Words leave you liable to Hell.” The anger involved in all these things shows a weaponized word. We cannot take ‘you fool’ here, as a direct phrase that will send you to hell, because the word is used throughout the Bible. But rather this progression is highlighted here, showing us how a pattern of life, of tearing down fellow brothers and image bearers of Christ, shows a distance from God. What words are you using in your anger? What are your words laced with? Do the intentions behind those words, reflect the grace of Jesus? God could have looked at us as said “worthless,” or "fools" but instead he loves us and gave us His Son. Instead of giving us words of contempt, he gives us ‘THE’ Word. Himself. . We also misuse words when we use them without their proper weight. On the day of judgement we will give an account of every careless word spoken. We don’t profane Gods name flippantly, but rather to ask of Him, or praise Him. His name is holy. The Jewish people even did not speak his Name, but rather called Him “Adonai” - Lord, in an effort to protect it from common speech. . What about "Hell"? We are making light of an incredibly weighty place. Just like the boy who called wolf, the more we use a word flippantly, the lighter the reality of thAT word becomes to us. And when we use heavy words against a fellow image bearers, we are casting condemnation in a way that does not match up with the word's meanings. When we chuckle and make a joke about hell, it reveals that I put too small of a weight on such a heavy matter. . Christ, the holiness of God, paid a heavy price for eternity. The eternity he offers us requires a heavy sacrifice. So my words must reflect the price that was paid for me by a holy God. . We also misuse words when we use them to color our crudeness. There are some words that paint a picture of us and our bodies incorrectly before God. In light of the calling Jesus gives us, we should not objectify the body and nor even allow the pictures to be painted with our words. Using language in a way that can paint unhealthy sexual pictures in our mind must be rejected. Instead “let there be Thanksgiving” instead of crude talk. The use of our negative words is a reflection of our lack of positive words. If we are continually flowing with contempt, what are we filled with? What are we filling our own heart-tank with? Thoughts of God’s mercy and goodness? Or are we filled with anger, dirtiness or filth. . That brings us back to our central text today. How we use language shows what is growing inside of us! Am I using my words in a way to give grace to the hearers.

Job growth in the economy has slowed, and the ranks of the long-term unemployed are growing. It makes the indignities of the modern hiring process even more frustrating for those in the market. Job-seekers are navigating a gauntlet of automated application systems set up to whittle down the hundreds — sometimes thousands — of applicants. Only for many to never hear from a human. Last Thursday during the Cowboy State Daily Morning Show, Gail Symons claimed that a reprehensible comment made years prior by Rep Steve Harshman about now Secretary of State Chuck Gray was, "Not Inaccurate." The only reason she brought it up is she thought no one would remember. That wasn't the only insult she leveled at conservatives. Predictably, Morning Show host Jake Nichols didn't correct her or push back in any way. **This episode contains inappropriate language.**
Tomorrow on the program I'm going to play for you the reprehensible things Gail Symons said about Secretary of State Chuck Gray. I'd say that Jake in the Cow Pie agreed with her but, frankly, he doesn't know what she's talking about. After tomorrow he will.
Are Fat People Really To Blame? | Southwest Airlines, Incivility & America's Compassion Crisis ✈️ Southwest Airlines is requiring plus-sized passengers to buy two seats so they “don't spill over.” But here's the real question: why not just design a few rows of larger seats? Instead, society blames fat people for being fat, ignoring the bigger issue — an industry and culture that lack compassion. This episode of the Karel Cast digs into more than just airline seating. From body shaming to public incivility, America is in a compassion crisis. Insults fly daily, strangers fight over parking spots, and violence erupts over the smallest things. Is Trump to blame for fueling division, or is there something deeper and darker behind our collective lack of civility?

Professor Roly Sussex explores how new insults have emerged and why some have disappeared from our vocabulary.
In this episode, you'll journey through the trials and tribulations faced by the Bodhisattva, who was born into wealth yet felt increasingly disconnected from the material world. As he sought to embody the perfection of equanimity, he chose to leave behind his riches and venture into a life of simplicity and self-discovery. Through his interactions with disrespectful children and wise villagers, we witness how he navigated the spectrum of human behavior, responding with a remarkable neutrality that teaches us how to approach both admiration and disdain with a tranquil heart. Join Margaret as she unpacks this enlightening tale, encouraging listeners to reflect on their own lives and the ways in which they can cultivate a sense of balance amid the inevitable chaos around them. Together, let's aspire to develop the same unshakeable equanimity that the Bodhisattva demonstrated, fostering a deeper understanding of our emotions and reactions.

Stephanie makes her grand entrance with gifts (LED face masks and luxe pajamas) but immediately stirs tension.Stephanie vs. Alexia: Julia tattles that Stephanie was “talking about” Alexia, sparking a dinner showdown. Stephanie accuses Alexia of belittling women and being insecure, while Alexia claps back, pounding her chest and declaring, “I'm Alexia Nepola!” Insults fly (Chihuahua, big head, kiss-ass) until, surprisingly, they toast to moving forward. The Flamenco Moment: Marysol's hired musician serenades Alexia, leaving both her and Marysol in tears.Julia's Regret: Julia realizes her comment caused the entire blowup and looks mortified, while Adriana can't help but laugh through the fight.Lisa Arrives in Seville: After a grueling and scary solo trek, Lisa finally arrives at 11:20 pm, only to be greeted by Alexia and Marysol telling her she's rude and disrespectful. Lisa insists they'll feel like “assholes” once they know the full story — but refuses to explain until tomorrow. The trip is off to a muy caliente start with flamenco, fighting, and fragile friendships.Podcast Summary-RHOM S7 E11 – Unfollow or UnfriendThe Miami ladies are still in Spain, but the drama is hotter than the flamenco dresses.Lisa's Legal Chaos: Lisa explains her absence was due to divorce legal matters, not Saint Barts. She's juggling phone calls, affidavits, and paperwork—even during dinner.Split Day Outings: One group (Larsa, Lisa, Adriana, Marisol, Stephanie) shops for flamenco dresses while the other (Julia, Guerdy, Alexia, Kiki) hits the food market. Kiki opens up emotionally about family pressures and threats over bringing relatives from Haiti, leaving her in tears.Friendship Rifts: Stephanie admits she prefers Marysol without Alexia around. Julia and Guerdy confront each other over unfollows on Instagram, and the ladies push Lisa to unfollow Marcus, fueling the Lisa vs. Larsa showdown.Larsa vs. Lisa Escalates: Larsa accuses Lisa of being a “groupie,” pressures her about social media loyalty, and complains Jody won't stop messaging her. Lisa, stressed from legal demands, breaks down as Larsa declares their friendship toxic and says she's “removing herself from Lisa's life.”Healing Flamenco: The women try spiritual flamenco, learning its roots as an expression of pain, but the healing doesn't stick.Explosive Dinner: At the red dress dinner, tensions peak. Lisa is pulled away by urgent legal paperwork, Larsa threatens to leave, and the women clash over whether Lisa is truly a bad friend—or just overwhelmed. Guerdy tries to mediate, but Larsa storms off, claiming she's “too good for this,” while Lisa cries that she's “not equipped for this.”The episode closes with broken friendships, shocking texts, and a dramatic cliffhanger.Support the showhttps://www.wewinewhenever.com/

“A Space Adventure Hour” While studying the neutron star at the center of the Kitolian Belt, Captain Pike and Number One decide that it's the perfect chance to test a new Starfleet innovation that should make extended missions easier: the Holodeck. What better time to push the ship's power resources to the limit than when circling the gravitationally collapsed core of a massive supergiant? What could possibly go wrong? Well, for one thing, a burgeoning television show could be canceled. Also, La'an could get trapped in a simulation with the safeties off. And, in the worst case, the entire crew could be lost as the crushing gravity of the collapsing star pulls the ship apart. But don't worry, Amelia Moon is on the case. Nothing stings quite like an insult. As Jesus proclaims the truth of who He is, the crowds reject His claims to divinity. We cannot hide behind our religious origins or upbringing but instead need an authentic Christianity based in relationship.BIBLE VERSE References: JOHN 8:37-59 | MATTHEW 20:20-21 | MATTHEW 5:39 | GENESIS 12:1-3 | GENESIS 15:1-6 | ROMANS 4:3 | GALATIANS 3:6 | JAMES 2:14-26 | MATTHEW 1:18-21 | 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17 | EPHESIANS 2:10 | 1 JOHN 5:19 | COLOSSIANS 1:13-14 | JOHN 14:6 | 2 CORINTHIANS 4:3-4 | HEBREWS 9:27 | HEBREWS 11:13 | HEBREWS 11:17-19 | JOHN 19:30 | EXODUS 3:14 | ROMANS 3:23-26 | PSALM 149:4*Music tracks by Blue Dot Sessions titled "Glass Beads" and "Come As You Were" were featured in this episode

The US has imposed sanctions on UN Human Rights Council Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese for using her position to oppose the most thoroughly documented genocide in history. At the same time, the US has removed Syria's Al Qaeda franchise HTS from its list of designated terrorist organizations, because its leader successfully carried out the regime change in Damascus that the western empire had been chasing for years. At the same time, the UK has added nonviolent anti-genocide activism group Palestine Action to its list of banned terrorist organizations for opposing the Gaza holocaust. At the same time, the Israeli prime minister who is carrying out that holocaust has nominated the American president who is helping him perpetrate genocidal atrocities for a Nobel Peace Prize. At the same time, Israel has continued its ban on foreign journalists entering Gaza, while also arresting the Israeli journalist who helped expose the IDF officials who cooked up fake atrocity propaganda about burnt babies on October 7. At the same time, the Trump administration has enraged its MAGA base by concluding that Jeffrey Epstein had no client list for any kind of sexual blackmail operation and definitely committed suicide. The western empire is one nonstop insult to our intelligence. The peace advocates are terrorists, the genocide architects deserve peace prizes, the journalists are dangerous, and Epstein was just a wealthy socialite who made a few mistakes.
