In this episode, we dive right back into the deep waters of “Christians and Fertility” with a continued goal of bringing this topic under the magnifying glass of Scripture and historical Christianity. We both truly believe that when the goal is to say, “What does God's Word say about this,” we will receive wisdom and conviction that is timely and effective. As we tackle topics like surrogacy and “family planning,” we hope this conversation sparks thoughtful consideration and an ultimate desire to pursue God's will above all else in this and every area of life. In this episode, we dive into what it means to really stand for Jesus Christ. Let's explore why faith isn't something to keep quiet about. If people proudly announce life-changing news, why wouldn't we be just as loud about the most important thing—eternal life? This episode will encourage you to be gangsta for Christ and explain what that confidence can do for advancing God's kingdom. Twenty-Third Sunday in Ordinary TimeThe song, How Can I Keep from Singing by Pauline T & Robert Lowry, speaks poetically about the song of hope we carry as human beings. A hope not just for a better tomorrow, but one in which the Lord is walking with us through the ups and downs of life. When the man in today's Gospel was blessed to receive his hearing and speech back, it is the gift of faith to hear and speak the word God. What song brings hope to you? Can you be kept from singing?Scripture Reading for September 8, 2024Isaiah 35:4-7Psalm 146:7-10James 2:1-5Mark 7:31-37

You must neither add anything to what I command you nor take away anything from it, but keep the commandments of the Lord your God with which I am charging you.You must observe them diligently, for this will show your wisdom and discernment to the peoples, who, when they hear all these statutes, will say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and discerning people!” For what other great nation has a god so near to it as the Lord our God is whenever we call to him? And what other great nation has statutes and ordinances as just as this entire law that I am setting before you today? But take care and watch yourselves closely, so as neither to forget the things that your eyes have seen nor to let them slip from your mind all the days...

In this episode we talk look at the reality of the spiritual realm and consider one component with regard to identifying the origin of thoughts.Other podcast episodes referenced in this one:Episode 24: The GospelEpisode 77: Fullness of joyListen to the sermon by J. D. Greear that I mentionedHere is the J. D. Greear Quote:"When the Holy Spirit, your real Shepherd speaks, it's in the context of hope. Yes, He will convict you of sin, but when He does, it is redemptive. He identifies what He wants you to change, He gives you a plan to do it, and He assures you of His ability to accomplish it through your life. His voice leads to clarity, and love, and life. When one of the demonic realm speaks to you with a fiery dart, it is in the context of condemnation and despair. It is never clear what they want you to change, there is certainly no hope or no redemption in it. The voice just screams hopelessness and despair.…When our enemy speaks, it has the soundtrack of death, and defeat, and confusion, and despair. When Jesus speaks, it is filled with invitation, and clarity, and love, and hope. Any voice leading you to confusion and despair is your enemy's voice, even if it's using valid questions or pointing out true facts.…My shepherd never leads to confusion and darkness. He leads only to life. Even if Satan is pointing out true things in your life, if it's leading you to despair, recognize that as his voice and resist it.…In your life, the voice of despair is the voice of Satan and never the voice of the Holy Spirit."Scriptures referenced:Psalm 127:1Matthew 10:282 Kings 6:8-17James 1:5Ephesians 6:10-13James 4:71 Peter 5:8-9Ephesians 4:26-27Luke 10:17-20Revelation 12:7-112 Corinthians 2:5-111 Timothy 4:1-22 Corinthians 11:13-151 Corinthians 10:13Psalm 91:11-12Hebrews 1:14Matthew 26:51-54Hebrews 13:2John 4:24Romans 8:28Genesis 1-3Genesis 1:27-28John 10:27Matthew 4:5-7Luke 4:132 Kings 3:5-10James 4:6Judges 6:36-40Galatians 6:2John 10:10aAs a reminder, if you gave to this ministry in 2023 and didn't receive an email with your contribution records for when you file taxes, please email us at ijustwanttotalkabout@gmail.com, and we will get it sorted out! Psalm 51:1-10James 4: 1-12
We know that the warning of the last days is to "come out of her, my people." But after we heed that warning, what do we do now? Where do we go from here?In today's episode, we are going to look at a biblical example detailing Israel's fall, and how King Josiah (of Judah) responded once he was confronted with the "book of the law" found in the Temple of Yahuah. I truly love how the lessons in Scripture give us direction and instruction on how to be reconciled to our Heavenly Father. He truly is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I pray that this episode blesses you and encourages you. We have been talking over the past several sessions about understanding and experiencing the Manifest presence of God. Another term for the Manifest presence, is the glory of God and that glory is experienced because God is a god of relationship. Not a god of religion and God desires a personal intimate relationship with you, and with me. And that relationship is only Reinstate through Covenant and touring a covenant with God, where we present ourselves to God and we receive his salvation from sin self and circumstances by are trusting on him, inviting him into our heart to be Lord, that is to lead us through life. And to be savior, which means to save us from our sins. The Bible says, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.Listen for more...Scripture referenced:1 Corinthians 2:4-5, 12:7, 4:20Psalm 46:10James 4:8Ezekiel 36:26Hebrews 4:16Romans 6:13For more Free books, Sunday teachings and bible studies, or is you would like to make a love offering, please visit us at: https://www.walkinginpower.orgDr. Bern Zumpano is a Pastor and Teacher of the Word of God who has authored several books on Spirit-filled living through relationship with Jesus Christ and walking in the Power of the Holy Spirit. Third Sunday in AdventPatience is a common theme during advent as it evokes a sense of endurance. Actively waiting means that we evaluate the circumstances of our lives and if we see parts of our lives that do not mirror God's promises, then we must do all that we can to make our lives right. Please do not assume the victim mentality by standing on the sideline. Rather wait patiently in hope and trust, noticing what God is asking you to do today and actually do it!Scripture Readings for December 11, 2022Isaiah 35:1-6, 10Psalm 146:6-10James 5:7-10Matthew 11:2-11

Episode Summary | In this episode, Christine begins a new series on suffering for the sake of righteousness. Christine highlights rejection from the world and rejection from loved ones in this episode and encourages the believer to continue seeking The Lord for identity and worth. In a wicked world that is hostile towards God, rejection is inevitable for the believer; Christine acknowledges the pain, but encourages the listener to lean into the pain, not avoid it and continuously bring it to the feet of Jesus and rejoice for the sharing in the ministry of Christ.Episode Scripture References |Rejection from the World:Luke 6:26Galatians 1:10James 4:4Rejection from Loved Ones/Friends: The Story of LeahGenesis 29:25-35Philippians 1:29Philippians 3:10Psalm 129James 1:2Episode Graphics and Application |https://www.canva.com/design/DAE9i7PzOPE/sXzlKnI3-VmGblJgpjDYYQ/view?utm_content=DAE9i7PzOPE&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link&utm_source=publishsharelinkEmail your reflections, questions, praise reports and requests to Christine at theunconventionaljoypodcast@gmail.com.Don't forget to connect with her on any of the platforms below and subscribe to The Unconventional Joy Podcast YouTube Channel:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7QphO8wFnz7S5-r-3dpVawConnect with Christine on any of these platforms:Instagram: @twinmamaplus_1Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/christine.eddinger.98LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/christine-eddinger-73724270/Until next week, submit your suffering to The Lord knowing that it is not in vain!

Our worried thoughts can consume us. Sometimes leading us into a never-ending spiral effect or into a rabbit hole of 'I could've, I should've, and I would've' scenarios. Today we are talking about taking our mask off.I'm not referring to the mask we began wearing in 2020.The mask I'm speaking of is the mask we have hid behind for years, the mask of pridefulness. This mask is how we portray ourselves to others as the person we want them to "think" we are, not the person we truly are.Scripture References1 John 1:8John 8:31-322 Chronicles 7:14Romans 3:10James 5:161 Corinthians 13Ephesians 6John 3:16-21Matthew 16Revelation 21Our podcast is also available on most podcast player apps.
