In this series, we walk through one of the greatest collections of poems and songs ever compiled: The Psalms. In this message, we will explore the genre, theme, and content of Psalm 139, a Psalm of Intercession, to encourage, guide, comfort, and inspire us to be more faithful followers of Jesus and to become more like Him as we do.

Prayer is central to our worship—we pray in every service, every small group, every class. Many of us pray daily. But have we stopped to consider what we’re praying for? In this message, we’ll explore the kinds of prayers the Apostle Paul lifted up for the churches, and ask ourselves if our prayers reflect that same deep dependence on God’s Spirit, desire for His kingdom, and passion for His mission.

In today's Morning Manna, Rick and Doc close out Romans chapter 15 with Paul's powerful appeal for intercessory prayer and spiritual unity. They explore Paul's journey to deliver an offering to Jerusalem, his deep yearning to visit the believers in Rome, and the mutual refreshment promised through fellowship. Paul's confidence in carrying the fullness of the blessing of Christ is a reminder that Christian companionship brings renewal and strength. The lesson ends with an exhortation to pray to the God of peace, who alone can calm minds, bodies, and homes. Rick encourages believers to speak peace over every storm and to expect revival and growth in the Morning Manna fellowship.Rick Wiles, Doc Burkhart. Earlier in the Catechism, we unpacked Mary as the Mother of Jesus. Now, we look at what it means for Mary to be the Mother of the Church. Fr. Mike makes it clear that, when he entrusts his disciples to Mary, his Mother, from the Cross, he's entrusting us to her as well. Today's readings are from Catechism paragraphs 963-970. This episode has been found to be in conformity with the Catechism by the Institute on the Catechism, under the Subcommittee on the Catechism, USCCB. In this conversation, Christina Semmens discusses the significance of faith, leadership, and personal responsibility in the context of Catholic teachings. She reflects on the recent election of Pope Leo XIV, the teachings of St. Augustine, and the importance of embracing life and death with a focus on relationships and prayer. The discussion emphasizes the power of personal choice in character development and the role of Mary as an intercessor through prayer, particularly the Rosary.TakeawaysPope Leo XIV emphasizes that we are beloved children of God.St. Augustine's teachings remind us to shine brightly in the world. We must embrace the reality of death to prepare for eternal life.Personal responsibility is key to character development. We have a choice in how we respond to life's challenges.Prayer, especially the Rosary, can solve any problem.Living in the present moment is essential for spiritual growth.Relationships with God, family, and friends should take priority. The joy of Easter is rooted in the victory over sin and death.Mary serves as a powerful intercessor for our prayers. Sharing selectively can help preserve your intimate relationship with God. Some individuals may act as disruptors of your destiny and hinder your progress. It's crucial to be mindful of the company you keep and the influence they have on your spiritual journey. By surrounding yourself with those who uplift and support your faith, you create a nurturing environment that allows your connection with God to flourish. Consider sharing your spiritual experiences and insights with those who show genuine understanding and empathy, as this can strengthen your bond with them and with God. Remember, cultivating a sacred space for your spiritual growth can lead to profound personal transformation and fulfillment.

Christine Rich has learned the Saints are working for her in a very real way. A number of years ago, Christine didn't understand why she felt drawn to choose Saint Valentine as her Saint of the Year. Months later, God caught her attention when she realized that the morning she signed papers to leave the large, Catholic company she co-founded was Valentine's Day. After signing the papers, Christine went to pray at a local convent where Venerable Patrick Peyton had spent his final years. Christine even sat and prayed in his chair. Years later, Christine's daughter and son-in-law would name their first child Peyton. Peyton was born on Valentine's Day. Listen to this Easter podcast and learn how the Saints are working for you, too! Christine Rich is a contributor to Clouds of Witnesses: 25 Stories of Saintly Inspiration and Intercession.
A discussion regarding Gifts of Miracles and Intercession begins with a discussion of compassion. Christ was moved with compassion for the crowds. Likewise, the hope for Miracles and the lean into Intercession must be fueled by Christ's compassion in us.
Why did Jesus ascend into heaven? What does that matter or mean for us today? In this message, Pastor Kiel Mahaffy points us to Jesus' present work on the believers' behalf as he is enthroned on high.

Pastor Ray Bentley says we should intercede for others just as Jesus intercedes for us before the father. Jesus loves you, therefore he talks. Intercession means prayer. He talks to his Father about you because he loves you. When you and I grow in love, we'll start talking to God about our family and our loved ones. Love for God will bring a love for people in our lives.

The Prayer of Intercession
This audio recording captures a sermon delivered on the first day of Holy Week, connecting the biblical narratives of the Garden of Eden and the Garden of Gethsemane. The speaker contrasts Adam, the first man, with Jesus, the second Adam, highlighting their responses to temptation, confrontation, and intercession within these pivotal garden settings. The sermon explores how Adam's disobedience brought sin into the world, while Jesus's obedience and sacrifice in Gethsemane offer redemption for humanity. Ultimately, it frames the story of the two gardens as the central narrative of redemption, urging listeners to reflect on Christ's love and sacrifice during Holy Week.Support the showThanks for listening! One day away. Palm Sunday is tomorrow. Holy Week's knocking. Are you ready? I'm diving into the privileges of devotion to St. Joseph, pulling from Father Calloway's Consecration to St. Joseph and the wisdom of saints like St. Josemaría Escrivá. Today's about why loving St. Joseph matters. Blessed Maria Teresa of St. Joseph went from a Protestant home to a nun, leaning on him through rejection and hardship. Venerable Mary of Ágreda lists seven graces he brings like purity, a happy death, and terrifying demons. Our Lady herself told mystics his intercession's unmatched. Why? He loved Jesus and Mary most after God, living humility and silence we can't fathom. Here's your challenge: Reflect on your Lent. How's it going? Slipped up? Forgotten your goals? Look to St. Joseph's obedience and quiet strength—make this Holy Week your best yet. Men, Satan hates Joseph's power. Want to shield your family and grow closer to Christ? Devotion to him is your weapon. Products/References Mentioned: Consecration to St. Joseph by Father Donald Calloway The Mystical City of God by Venerable Mary of Ágreda St. Josemaría Escrivá's quote on St. JosephPowerful Quotes: “He is the person who has most loved God after our mother. He deserves your affection and it will do you good to get to know him because he is the master of the interior life.” “In virtue of these special privileges, the intercession of St. Joseph is most powerful… for attaining the virtue of purity and overcoming the sensual inclinations of the flesh.” “The whole human race has much undervalued the privileges and prerogatives conceded to my blessed spouse, and they know not what his intercession with God is able to do.”Key Takeaway:Pause today—reflect on St. Joseph's silence and humility. Apply it now to refocus your Lent and enter Holy Week with purpose. April 6, 2025: Pastor Matt teaches the significant distinction between how slaves pray compared to how sons do. Sons, even in a moment of what appears as not enough, are so convinced of Abba's care they soak their prayers in gratitude and expectation. What would our prayer lives look like if we saw all the waiting through the confident lens of sonship?
Did you know that being socially isolated is equivalent to smoking 15 cigarettes a day! What's really sad about this is that we're seemingly more "connected" than we've ever been, but research shows we're also more isolated. Friend, it should be obvious by now that being "connected" does not equal relational intimacy. That's why we're addressing the beauty found in friendship as we continue our series on The People Who Shape Us. The angels belong to Christ as they were made through him and for him, and he has made them messengers of his saving plan. We learn that angels have been present throughout the history of salvation, and the life of Christ is surrounded by the adoration and service of angels. Fr. Mike explains how in the liturgy, we join the angels in praising God, and all of human life is surrounded by angels' care and protection. He reminds us that all angels and saints have the power to intercede for us before God. Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 331-336.
