This week, we'll be studying Genesis 18:16-33 under the theme “Prayer for a Broken City.” Here, we see that Abraham dared to argue with God — not for himself, but for a wicked city that didn't deserve saving. That's priestly intercession. When the world feels like Sodom, God calls his people to stand in the gap, praying with guts, grace, and gospel hope for the place we call home.Series Summary: Our fall worship series will lead us through the Book of Genesis, arguably the most profound, insightful text in human history. Over this series, we'll uncover how the narratives of Genesis reveal God's design for creation, humanity, relationships, and purpose. We'll explore truths that continue to shape our lives today, from the Garden of Eden to the promise of redemption.Add St. Marcus as your church on the Church Center App!Fill out our online connection cardHow can we pray for you? In this episode, Samuel Goulet explores the theme "Design and Purpose," focusing on the biblical idea that people are made for community. Drawing from passages in Ephesians, Romans, and Matthew, he emphasizes that true church community is built on humility, forgiveness, and the active flow of Jesus' love—likened to the life-giving flow of blood in the body. Goulet challenges listeners to move beyond comfort zones, embrace diversity within the body of Christ, and reject isolation, pride, and unforgiveness. He encourages proactive intercession, radical forgiveness, and genuine connection, highlighting that healthy spiritual community requires both receiving and giving grace, and that the transformative power of Jesus' blood enables believers to overcome relational barriers and thrive together.
October 20 2025 Monday Your Words Matter / Week 38 Jesus Making Intercession For You #findoutwhoyouare My Vision My vision is to teach the world Who They Are In Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior! To Teach them what the Bible says about them and who they have been made to be in the promises of God's Word. This changed my life years ago and completely transformed me from a person full of doubt, fear and unbelief to a strong confident Christian that knows I can do anything through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. And I'm determined to teach the world what God has taught and commissioned me to teach and that is His Word. That commission takes me to jails and detention centers weekly along with other open doors at many churches and ministries that are wanting to teach these important truths to the world. My podcast goes out 6 days a week to help the people I am ministering to grow in the truths that God has taught me for many years now. This podcast is free to all that want to listen and grow strong in who God has made them to be in Christ Jesus their Lord and Savior. My Prayers For The World Ephesians 1:15-23 NLT 'Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God's people everywhere, I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.' Ephesians 3:14-21 NLT 'When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.' His letter to the Galations is a vigorous attack against the gospel of works and a defense of the gospel of faith. Paul begins by setting forth his credentials as an apostle with a message from God: blessing comes from God on the basis of faith, not law. The law declares men guilty and imprisons them; faith sets men free to enjoy liberty in Christ. But liberty is not license. Standing Out: A Daily Podcast About Sales, Marketing and Leadership
Send us a textWaiting can turn even grateful hearts into idol makers. At the foot of Sinai, Israel melts its earrings into a golden calf while Moses meets with God on the mountain. We walk through Exodus 32 step by step—impatience, the lure of a visible god, the failure of leadership, and the blowback that follows—so we can see our own patterns with honest eyes and renewed hope. This is a hard chapter, but it shines with a fierce kind of grace. We explore how Aaron caves to the crowd, how worship shifts from God-centered to man-centered, and why Moses shattering the tablets is more than anger—it's a sign that the covenant has already been broken. From there we lean into the mystery of intercession: Moses appeals to God's character, his promises, and his name among the nations, and the Lord relents. The story doesn't dodge justice—three thousand fall and a plague strikes—yet it refuses despair by pointing forward to a greater Mediator who would bear the full weight of sin.Along the way, we talk about modern idols that look nothing like calves but demand the same devotion: productivity, pleasure, image, and control. We ask what it means to repent without excuse, to lead with conviction when popularity whispers, and to pray with a boldness that believes mercy is mighty. If your heart feels like a factory of substitutes, you're not alone—this passage aims your worship back to the God who is worthy. Listen, share with a friend who needs courage to turn from counterfeits, and if the conversation helps you, subscribe and leave a review so others can find it too.The Bible isn't just an old book—it's God's story, and it's still alive today. His Story takes you chapter by chapter through Scripture, combining simple readings of God's Word with prayer for every listener and occasional reflections on what the passage means for our lives right now. Whether you're brand new to the Bible or have been reading it for years, this podcast is a space to slow down, hear God's Word spoken, and be reminded that His story is also our story.
This week's focus is intercession — prayer that moves beyond personal needs to carry the burden of others and contend for God's purposes. In this season between senior leaders, God is calling our church to become intercessors. Intercession is not a job for a few “prayer warriors” — it's the call of every believer to partner with Heaven for transformation.
In this episode of Radiant Fire Radio, Christopher takes a critical look at the recent claims made by prominent figures Chuck Pierce, Cindy Jacobs, and Mike Jacobs regarding their involvement in prophetic movements and peace deals in the Middle East. With a blend of humor and skepticism, Christopher questions the authenticity of their prophetic insights and the motivations behind their public declarations. He challenges listeners to discern the truth behind these so-called prophetic voices, urging them to seek a genuine relationship with God rather than rely on self-proclaimed prophets. Tune in for a thought-provoking discussion that encourages deeper reflection on the role of prophecy in today's world.

Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”Charles Fraune—author, teacher, and founder of Slaying Dragons Press—joins us to unpack what exorcists and former occultists are seeing now, and why ordinary believers need extraordinary clarity. For young adults discerning marriage, fatherhood, or religious life, we offer a blunt but hopeful plan: pursue heroic virtue now, simplify your life, and let Mary lead you to her Son. If you've sensed that these are not ordinary times, you're not alone—and you're not powerless. We talk about choosing patrons for the times: Padre Pio for perseverance and purity, St. Alphonsus Liguori for moral clarity, and Bartolo Longo, once a consecrated satanic priest, who staked his salvation on Our Lady's promises and became a trumpet for the Rosary. We explore why demons fear Mary, how the Communion of Saints actually works, and what happens when you swap doom-scrolling and games for sacraments, Scripture, silence, and real friendship. The throughline is practical: close the portals (porn and gaming), curate your inputs, live the truth.Visit Charles Fraune and get a copy of "The Most Powerful Saints in Exorcisms"! Title: Utility Closet – PrayerScripture Reading: Acts 2:42, Ephesians 6:18-20Series: The 242 BlueprintIn the 1970s, Xerox invented the future of computing with the graphical user interface (GUI) and the mouse, but failed to realize the gold mine they were sitting on. They squandered their best resource, which Apple and Steve Jobs eagerly capitalized on to revolutionize the world. Christians often treat prayer the same way Xerox treated the GUI—as our most powerful, yet least utilized, weapon. Discover the three prompts that awaken us to the power of prayer: 1. Its intimacy 2. Its difficulty, and 3. Its consistency. Learn what it means to pray "in the Spirit" and align yourself with what God is already doing.

In this episode, we explore the gift of tears and the importance of allowing ourselves to cry. We reflect on our experiences with crying and talk about how tears, especially in painful moments, can be a powerful expression of surrender, lament, and hope when offered to God. With the help of the Holy Spirit, our sensitivity and capacity to cry reflect the way we were beautifully created to respond to what breaks God's heart. We discuss the vulnerability of crying, the pain of resisting it, and how Jesus crying out on the cross reveals the value of our own cries. Whether you're too tired to cry, afraid to show need, or already feel safe expressing emotion, we invite you to see crying as an act of worship and intercession. In our sorrow, God meets us with love, truth, and the hope that He can actually do something with our pain. Samuel teaches about the importance of prayer, especially intercession, explaining that it starts with personal connection to God and extends to praying for others. He uses biblical examples to show that everyone is called to intercede, encouraging listeners to persist in prayer for others until spiritual growth and unity with Jesus are achieved.
It should be obvious to anyone that the problems besetting America and the whole world will need Divine intervention. It is to the intercession of the Mother of God, that the Church and civilization has often turned.
Do Orthodox Christians “worship icons”? Is Orthodoxy “works-based”? If you've heard those claims and weren't sure how to respond, this episode is your Bible-and-history reality check—clear, charitable, and straight to the point. What Protestants Often Miss About OrthodoxyA surprising witness: Martin Luther once described Greek Orthodox believers as “the most Christian people and the best followers of the gospel on earth.” That startling line sets the stage for a serious, Scripture-anchored look at salvation, saints, and sacred images.1) Salvation: Moment or Journey?Orthodoxy doesn't deny conversion moments—it simply insists the New Testament speaks of salvation in past, present, and future (you have been saved, are being saved, will be saved). Think medicine, not just legal acquittal: sin is a sickness Christ heals, and the Church is the hospital where grace transforms us into His likeness.2) Faith & Works: James's Actual ArgumentJames 2 doesn't pit faith against grace—it shows that living faith is energetic. “Faith without works is dead” is like a body without a soul: the works don't earn salvation; they animate faith, revealing the life of Christ within. This is why the Fathers speak of theosis (2 Peter 1:4): by grace, believers partake of the divine nature, cooperating with God's energies as He reshapes us.3) Saints & Icons: Honor vs. WorshipOrthodoxy draws a bright line between veneration (honor) and worship (adoration due to God alone).Bowing isn't necessarily worship. Scripture shows people bowing in honor without idolatry.Images aren't automatically idols. From the cherubim over the Ark to symbolic imagery throughout Scripture, the Bible distinguishes forbidden idols from holy reminders that direct hearts to God.Intercession is biblical. If the “prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective,” it remains so for those alive in Christ (Hebrews 12:1). We ask the saints to pray with us, not instead of Christ.4) Earliest Christian PracticeArchaeology and early Christian witness show that sacred images and prayers for the departed were part of the Church's life from the beginning—not late medieval inventions. The point isn't art for art's sake; it's Christ-centered remembrance that teaches the faith to hearts, minds, and even our senses. Why this mattersIf you love Jesus, Scripture, and the unity He prayed for, you'll want to understand how the apostolic Church held these truths together: grace-filled transformation, living faith that acts, and worship that engages the whole person. Whether you're Protestant, Orthodox, or just curious, this conversation offers a road map through common objections toward a richer, more historic Christianity.Join us as we walk through the texts, the Fathers, and the first centuries of the Church—and see how today's Orthodox faith connects to the faith once delivered to the saints. Please leave a comment with your thoughts!
Prayer has the power to change everything—but we must be willing to press in. In “Intercession for a Wicked City Part 2,” Pastor Bayless explores how Abraham's persistent prayers for Sodom reflect our calling to pray for the lost today. You'll be challenged to pray for your enemies even when you don't feel a burden to do so. And you'll find out how to pray for those who don't know the Lord. Listen now and get equipped to bring the lost and hurting people in your life before God!
This Message is brought to you by the Senior Pastor of the global, multicampus ministry, Petra Christian Centre, Pastor Ayo Ajani.
There may have been a time or two in our lives we felt like we hit rock bottom. What do we do when we hit rock bottom? There is always hope because as Jesus prayed for Peter that his faith would not fail him, Jesus has prayed for us. Peter may have faltered, but his faith did not fail him. There is a sifting we all will go through but we must seek the Lord during that sifting.
In this episode of Unwritten, Trevor sits down with Caitlyn Robinson to talk about how God intervened in her family's most earthshattering tragedy, transforming their despair into a profound witness of miraculous healing and faith.Whether you're a parent facing unimaginable difficulty, someone wrestling with the power of prayer, or just curious about how divine grace and the communion of saints can move mountains, this conversation will inspire you to believe in the impossible and recognize God's active presence in our darkest hours. What You'll Hear:Caitlyn, a mother of nine, recounts the terrifying Sunday morning when her 14-month-old son, Vincent, was found lifeless after drowning in their backyard hot tub, and the immediate, frantic attempts at CPR. The initial despair as Vincent showed no signs of life, the family's fervent prayers and Hail Marys, and the powerful, immediate prayer chain that ignited through their community, parish, and beyond. The hospital's grim prognosis after Vincent received 52 minutes of CPR with no pulse, Caitlyn's initial skepticism about a full recovery, and her profound realization of the intercessory power of the communion of saints. The pivotal role of the Novena to Blessed Michael McGivney, the placement of a relic on Vincent's chest during a hospital Mass, and how this led to his miraculous, complete recovery, including an organ-clear MRI and Vincent walking out of the hospital on the ninth day of the novena, perfectly fine.Hit follow or subscribe so you don't miss future episodes!

If you want to know that God hears your prayers, you need to know that His Spirit is within you and guiding them. Think about it: If God’s Spirit is within you, are you making sure that He’s guiding your prayers and not just being expected to deliver them.

The events of the past week in the United States were shocking and sickening. The murder of innocents: Two school children, a young war refugee, a conservative activist. And that's not even the whole list. Many people are hurting and even afraid. And, it would seem, many people are also celebrating murder and reveling in extremely divisive politics. What in the world is a Christian to do? Pastor Chris gave a heart-felt and pastoral response to the rawness of the world by starting with a look at Moses and one of the (many) times he interceded for his nation. Join us for what we hope will be an encouraging and hopeful message. The artwork associated with this sermon/podcast is titled "Moses Pleading" by Yitchok Schmukler (viewable on the Epiclesis podcast page but not in iTunes).

The Lord's Prayer: A Warrior's Blueprint — Stay in the Wake of Jesus | KIB 495 Kingdom Intelligence Briefing Description There's a reason Jesus taught us to pray the way He did. In this episode, Dr. Michael and Mary Lou Lake unpack the Lord's Prayer as a battle plan for the remnant—how to fight from your prayer closet, carry the Father's name with integrity, and stay in the wake of Jesus as He breaks the currents of this world. You'll learn practical strategies to confront the enemy's counterfeits (e.g., “Feast of the Beast”), protect marriages, dismantle shame, pray imprecatory Psalms (like Psalm 35) biblically, and stand on promises such as Psalm 34:19–20 for protection and healing. Includes intercession for children, marriages, and those under occult-driven attacks, plus keys for overcoming offense, walking in forgiveness, and pursuing holistic restoration.
