God said this is a year to XPAND, and He is awakening the Church to be spiritually alert and to defeat the enemy on every side! We are “loving God passionately and serving others significantly,” by being the encounter with God that someone needs! Several people came to the front to tell how God is helping them to “embrace, display and share” God's love. Pastor Dawn made a prophetic declaration that we are in a new season of God's blessings being poured out! Breakthroughs are coming, prodigals are continuing to come home, and many are giving testimonies of finding salvation and acceptance in Jesus. Pastor Dawn led us in joining our hearts with the “Communion America” event held in Washington DC this weekend that released unity, healing, repentance and blessing. God is healing our land, and we are being empowered by the Holy Spirit to shift into a new season where GRACE UPON GRACE is being poured out on us!

The sermon explores the relationship between the Old Testament Mosaic law and the New Testament grace offered through Jesus Christ, arguing that the phrase 'grace upon grace' signifies a fulfillment rather than a replacement of the law. It contends that the Old Testament covenant, while structured by law, was itself a gracious expression of God's covenant with his people, and that the law served to intensify blessings and reveal God's character. Drawing on Reformed theological tradition, the sermon emphasizes that the law is an integral aspect of God's covenant, guiding believers toward a deeper understanding of God's will and ultimately pointing to the need for Christ, and that the New Testament builds upon the Old Testament, blossoming from its foundations to offer a fuller revelation of God's grace.

In our exploration of Ephesians, we've uncovered a profound truth about God's grace. It's not just a one-time gift that saves us; it's an ongoing power that transforms us. We're reminded that each of us has been given unique spiritual gifts, apportioned by Christ himself. These gifts aren't for our own benefit, but to build up the body of Christ. As we delve into Ephesians 4 and parallel passages, we see how God's grace empowers us to serve others, fostering unity and maturity in the church. This message challenges us to recognize the gifts we've been given and to use them boldly, knowing that we are part of God's continuing mission of rescue and redemption. It's a call to move beyond spiritual infancy, growing in faith and knowledge, and becoming living examples of God's grace to those around us.
This sermon explores the parable of the Prodigal Son, emphasizing God's unconditional love and grace towards both the wayward and the self-righteous. It highlights the contrast between the father's compassionate response and the older brother's resentment, illustrating God's desire for reconciliation and the true meaning of sonship. The message encourages listeners to understand and embrace the heart of the Father, regardless of their past or present spiritual condition.

Psalm 103:title–22 (ESV): 103 OF DAVID. 1 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, 3 who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, 4 who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, 5 who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. 6 The LORD works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed. 7 He made known his ways to Moses, his acts to the people of Israel. 8 The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. 9 He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever. 10 He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. 11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; 12 as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. 13 As a father shows compassion to his children, so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him. 14 For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust. 15 As for man, his days are like grass; he flourishes like a flower of the field; 16 for the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place knows it no more. 17 But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children's children, 18 to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments. 19 The LORD has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all. 20 Bless the LORD, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, obeying the voice of his word! 21 Bless the LORD, all his hosts, his ministers, who do his will! 22 Bless the LORD, all his works, in all places of his dominion. Bless the LORD, O my soul!

"And His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace." John 1:16Jesus Christ has fullness of grace and truth. Grace is God's favor and kindness bestowed on those who do not deserve it and cannot earn it. If God dealt with us only according to truth, none of us would survive, but He deals with us based on grace and truth.Blessings,Presiding Elder Barbara HayesBe Still & Know | TWSB
