LaWanda Tulbert, Intervention Specialist for the City of Cleveland, teaches at George Washington Carver K-8. She shares stories about exercising at the Glenville Rec Center, being physically active all her life, reading as a way for kids to experience the world, growing up in Glenville, and vision boards. Rosalind Wilkes grew up after Title IX. She realized she was athletic in her 20s. She became an adventurous daredevil. Hear the full story in Episode 24. She encourages girls to play sports, talks about the benefits of staying active and adventurous. She is also a tour guide for Lolly The Trolley in Cleveland and shares Cleveland's history as well as some of Glenville's.
Coach Tee is the Head Coach of the JV Glenville Panthers and she coaches with love. It must work because the team wins competitions every year and the girls go on to great success.
