Into the mind of Blake Ross; this podcast explores issues of our modern day, philosophy, mindfulness, and what being a human means.
Awhile back, I participated in an Ayahuasca Ceremony. In this episode, I talk about the lessons the plant medicine gave me, my experience, and what I practice since then. I talk about conspiracies of mind, how we are all connected and matter, and existing as the imagination of ourselves.
Today's episode is a Rant, Ranting, Ranted. On it, I talk about hot takes being trash, awareness as a stubbed pinky, not making people like you, and being free from EVERYTHING.
I sit down with my friend Kourtney to talk about finding our path, spirituality, Shamanism, and being open. Kourtney was incredibly brave in making her podcast debut, and modeled courage for others who feel like putting themselves out there is the LAST thing that they want to do.
In this episode, I discuss ways of being the ultimate contrarian in a time of forced think-compliance, and why it is important to not always follow the group -especially if the group is willing to sacrifice the well-being of the individual. To be the Ultimate Contrarian in this time, is to be someone who shows and expresses love for those that think differently than they do, looks for nuance rather than the hot take, and doesn't succumb to the force of the group -and thinks for themselves.
A reflection of my 2020: I talk about where I have been, what I've been doing, and the lessons that 2020 taught me. I briefly talk about the therapy business I am creating, and I mention some of the topics for upcoming podcasts.
This episode is a joint cast featuring Daniel Powell from The Grounded Presence Podcast. In the first half of the cast, Daniel interviews yours truly on community: my feelings of community, what I think community is, and where I got my ideas of community from. The back-end of the cast is a conversation, Inbetween Thoughts style, about philosophy. Listen, enjoy, and love. Be sure to check out Daniel on his podcast: The Grounded Presence Podcast https://thegroundedpresence.podbean.com/
Welcome to a portion of the internet you might not have been aware of. On this episode, a Rant, Ranting, Ranted (RRR), I go to a Flat Earth meetup to learn why flat-earthers think the way that they do. Today, I found out that this meeting was recorded and made into a Netflix movie called: "Behind the Curve." I was unaware of this during the recording of this, so I do not comment on this phenomenon. I DO commentate on critical thinking, how dumb people look just like you and I, and how the "higher ups" influence whether you will be a a flat-earther like them, or a ball-earther like the rest of us.
This week's episode sees me, your loving host, Blake, visiting with the guys from The Concoction Podcast. These gentlemen graciously had me over to discuss psychology and political narratives in commercials and within the media, entities being too big to fail, immigration, how great America is, and what it means to be an American. These gentlemen were fantastic hosts, and were willing and able to talk about anything. Expect more shows with these guys in the future.
This is an older episode (crica 2017) that I released via Facebook. My talented friend Shane and I sit down to talk about what life is like for a full-time musician, how struggle makes you better, and the benefits of jumping fully into something that you love. Shane even does something on Inbetween Thoughts that no one else has ever done on this cast: play a live song. His sultry voice is sure to win you over, so go ahead and give it a listen, friends P.s. Check me out on some of Denver/Northern Colorado's local podcasts in the near future. I will be doing joint episodes, so I will be releasing some of them on here -and the others you will have to go to their respective casts.
This is a podcast about addiction, about getting high, and trying anything that might have the effect of high. My guest Jeff is a drug insider -as he is the one with the lived experience of this- and he was unapologetic in this telling of his story. He details what huffing gas is like, smoking duct tape, and doing anything that he could get his hands on. This conversation had me on the edge of my seat the ENTIRE TIME, so enjoy.
Jenny and I did a podcast while driving back to Colorado -from Georgia- over the holidays. We talk about what makes us such a formidable couple, women in the workplace, male/female relationships, and how I don't look like a smart person. Jen is one of my favorite people, my best friend, and someone that I love having conversations with. I hope you enjoy our looseness with one another, and the nuanced conversations that we have. Love you guys :)
I sit down with Mckenzie, a women that I met a few years back at Holistic Yoga School (in Fort Collins, CO), to talk about racism and women's rights in America.
Another Rant, Ranting, Ranted episode where I dive into what an Ideologue looks like, and how to spot them -as well as making you privy to Postmodern styles of thinking. This podcast is a primer for upcoming conversations on the podcast, and I think it is good information for you to know before listening to the following podcasts
(Old podcast) This podcast happened last year, and it includes my mom and sisters. In it, we sit down to talk about what I was like growing up, how are family is, and why we all may be a little crazy. We are really open with one another, so this is a fantastic insight into who we are as people. The women in my life are all strong, competent women, and you will see that here in this podcast.
I sit down to talk about where I have been for the last year, what direction I am taking the podcast, and preview what I have coming up in the new future. Listen to this podcast first.
