We cover the usual ones like pentesting and blue teaming and also the less common ways like creating custom hardware and doing bug bounty. JackkTutorials is back, so we invited him again to talk about what has changed. This episode doesn't have a clear topic, instead we just had a great chat with Jack and stumbled into interesting topics.
After another longer pause, we're trying a new approach by inviting guests more frequently. Which is why Kody joined us to chat about a lot of stuff, like DefCon, surveillance in the US, more WiFi flaws, projects, hackerspaces and how to build a community.
We talk about our 35c3 experience, looking back on 2018, discussing our plans for the new year and what we can can do to improve 2019. Also why we couldn't record a new episode in December.
Each of us talks a about our experience as a computer science/engineering student so far. We try to point out the things that annoy us, but also what we like and where the differences are compared to other countries. Jhonti explains why he decided to suspend his study and we have some fun livestreaming the whole episode.
We talk about work and side projects, where to set priorites and why more money won't make you happier. Also covered in this episode: David's hacktivity experience, update on the 35c3 and a preview to the upcoming episode. The education systems that are in place all around the globe are broken, yet there has been little to no change in the past decades. And sadly only few people even talk about it. We took a lot of time to prepare for this episode and are looking forward to open up further discussions! What we did in the summer, cameras, bugbounty, 35c3 update and other little topics about things that happened since the last episode. Because there was quite a big of a pause between the previous episode, we covered a lot of different little topics, rather then talking about a big one. We talked about how the ever faster developing technology is changing the world and what that means for us as programmers. It got a bit philosophical and random at some points, but we feel like it's something not many people discuss seriously. We are talking with Jack from JackkTutorials about how we got into hacking, where we learned what we know, where we're standing currently and what how our plans for the future look like. This is the first episode of our podcast, so we would love to get some feedback! Of course this time it got super long, that wasn't planned but I think it was worth it.
