Well, we did it! Season 1 is officially over. But before we go, you know we had to take a sip- especially with men consistently trying to regulate a woman's body - we had to talk about it! From Georgia banning abortions after 6 weeks to Ayesha Curry not being able to speak her mind, we had enough! Then we get down to our favorite episodes, any regrets we had, and even our friends holding our podcast words against us! It's been an amazing season, and we're glad you all stuck around for the ride! Don't forget to meet us this Thursday at Nomi Bar and Grill for our Season 1 Wrap Party!
This just might be our most entertaining episode! Toya brings her barber, Zo, to the podcast and he shares his 'old life' with us, which included some Canadians and very shady activities. Then we ask him questions that all women want to know, like do men cheat and do they really care about hair 'down there.' Toya has decided to take the LEAP to California and start her new life, and we're throwing an end of season party on May 16th at NOMI Bar and Grill!
Over the weekend, Meag took her little sister to her first strip club with Toya. It was an experience within itself and will probably never happen again (lol). Toya realized the grass is greener where she is watering it. We get deep about what BET's, "Being Mary Jane" meant to us and if we liked the series finale. We also talk about how our mind has a way of playing tricks on us through anxiety - and yes, everyone needs therapy. Lastly, we talk about what leads to people starting a new life for themselves after being frustrated with how things are going. Don't forget to like, comment, subscribe and share!
It seems as if things are looking up for Meag and Toya. Last week, Meag had her annual exam and her doctor put in perspective how happy she should be considering how horrible last year was healthwise. Toya came back from Coachella and had a 'new' experience that has us excited for her future. Then we give Beyonce all the praise she deserves for doing the damn thing with her 'Homecoming' Netflix special. Last but not least we give an ode to good ole FAMU and all the HBCUs that shape and challenge the minds of black people! Don't forget to comment, like, subscribe, and share!
This week we have our first guest on the show, London SeaBreeze, a model and actress who starred alongside Matthew McConaughey in his new film "Beach Bum". We discuss her life and get some juicy details on what happens behind the scenes. Plus, Toya has some exciting news about her man, and Meag has decided to 'be still". Woosah...Mercury Retrograde may have said adios..but that doesn't mean our problems went away. Toya and her man have decided to take a break. Nippsey Hussle was murdered at his own establishment. We've made it to our 10th episode *insert fireworks (and awkward gunshots*. This week we talk about how Mercury Retrograde wreaked havoc on Toya's life. Just when we thought we were done with Jordyn Woods, The Kardashians, and Tristan Thompson - something big happened on Friday! Jordyn made a quick stop through Jada Pinkett-Smith's Red Table Talk where she was able to give her side of the 'story'. The jury is still out on what really went down that night! We also discuss girl code, why friendships are like having boyfriends, and the levels of 'friends'! Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe!
The recent news of the Kardashians vs Jordyn Woods and Tristan Thompson drama really got us thinking about cheating, forgiveness, and closure. Are you able to forgive and forget? Well, some of us can, while the rest of us are a work in progress. We also talk our shit as usual, but this time, it's a little different!
