This week on Talking Shit About Nothing, Jimmy and Richie welcome a very special guest all the way from Australia — Amanda Alderson (#267) from Squid Game: The Challenge. Jimmy and Amanda met during the filming of the show, and she joins the boys to break down her entire experience. Amanda talks about how she doesn't even like reality TV, yet somehow found herself going through the audition process and miraculously landing a spot on one of the biggest shows in the world. Despite the cold, the hunger, and the difficulty of the experience, she calls it the best experience of her life, largely because of the people she met and the relationships she formed along the way. The conversation then turns into a full-on Australia interrogation. Jimmy and Richie grill Amanda on everything from the weather (it's 9 degrees in Boston, by the way), to kangaroos, tourism, cultural differences, and what life is really like down under. It's a mix of Squid Game stories, international roasting, and classic TSAN energy — you don't want to miss this one.

This week on Talking Shit About Nothing, Jimmy and Richie welcome a special guest with a wild backstory — Marcus Chapman (#209) from Squid Game: The Challenge. While filming the show, Jimmy and Marcus hit it off… eventually. First impressions nearly ended in a fight, but what started as tension turned into a real friendship forged through shared misery. The guys break down how they met, their early clashes, and what it was really like living inside the Squid Game experience. Marcus talks about making it all the way to spot 65 before being eliminated in the infamous marbles game, the brutal lack of food on set, and how he managed to lose 7 pounds during his time on the show. The conversation also dives into the personal side of Marcus's life — from his dogs' TikTok and YouTube channel, to his love of barbecue, and even his surprisingly calming gardening hobby. It's a mix of chaos, laughs, and real moments as the boys reminisce about their experiences and bond over the shared insanity of Squid Game. After a three-week holiday break, Talking Shit About Nothing is officially back. Jimmy and Richie kick off Episode 20 by catching up on how the holidays went — starting with Jimmy's trip to Hawaii, where he re-proposed to his wife (yes, very romantic). He breaks down the excursions, the volcanoes, the relaxation, and of course being mistaken for Terry Bradshaw approximately 100 times. Things take a turn on Jimmy's flight home, where he finds himself seated next to a cat in a bag that smelled absolutely brutal. His solution? Removing both boots to fight smell with smell — a true man of genius move. Side note: Taking your shoes off on a plane… yes or no? Comment below. Richie recaps his family holiday, his growing obsession with Binho Board (the tabletop soccer flicking game), and an unfortunate slip on the ice that resulted in a “minor” concussion. So if you hear him slurring his words, don't worry — it's just his brain rebooting. He'll be back to normal soon (we hope… eek). To close out the episode, the boys dive into New Year's resolutions. Can you guess Jimmy's? Of course — get on Survivor. Richie keeps it grounded: more time with family, make that paper, and get into better shape. Classic TSAN chaos, laughs, and questionable decisions — welcome back.

It's the final Talking Shit About Nothing episode of 2025, and Jimmy and Richie close out the year with a full-on Christmas extravaganza. The boys dive into their favorite family traditions—from Elf on a Shelf chaos to Jimmy's family dusting off the legendary Super 8 camcorder to film Christmas morning like it's 1979. They take a nostalgic trip through the greatest toy crazes ever, including Tickle Me Elmo, Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots, and all the holiday madness that comes with chasing down the “it” gift of the season. To end the episode, Jimmy shares a heartfelt message encouraging everyone to reach out to the people in their lives—because life is short, and a simple text or call can mean everything. Richie follows with a reminder to appreciate family and cherish the time you have with them. It's warm, it's funny, it's nostalgic, and it's the perfect way to close out the year. This week, Jimmy and Richie talk to Jimmy's daughter, Author and Illustrator Michelle MacLean about her book "Abilities". Michelle MacLean is a 7th grade Special Educator in Sudbury Massachusetts. Her inspiration for her graphic novel came when her students with different disabilities started to make negative comments about their challenges with school. Not finding any characters for her students to connect with, she decided to create them. Michelle had her own challenges growing up in school as she was placed in a sub separate special education class for having dyslexia. Despite having dyslexia, she was always a creative cartoonist. Michelle went on to earn her masters at Framingham State University in Special Education. Her goal for this book is to help kids with different disabilities learn more about themselves and persevere through the challenges of school. The character in her book Daniella is a reflection of herself growing up in middle school.

This week, Jimmy and Richie welcome Daniel Berlin, Babson College grad and the creative mind behind the bold new chocolate brand Dirty Gut. Daniel breaks down how he came up with the idea, the eye-catching name, and why the candy looks like it already has a bite taken out of it. The guys learn what probiotics actually are (and why they belong in your chocolate), talk entrepreneurship and branding, and even hear Daniel's dream of pitching Dirty Gut on Shark Tank.
