In this episode of Talking Shit About Nothing, Jimmy and Richie welcome special guest Trisha Pérez Kennealy—chef, entrepreneur, hotel owner, ballroom dancer, and owner of the The Inn at Hastings Park. The conversation covers everything from healthy eating habits, cooking techniques, and summer grilling tips to ballroom dancing, travel, entrepreneurship, and making the most out of life. Trish shares her philosophy on food—using quality ingredients, simple preparation, and teaching people how to cook confidently at home. The trio debates classic New England topics like grilled cheese vs. toasted cheese, sauce vs. gravy, and the best way to cook fresh local corn. Along the way, they swap stories about meteor booms, bear sightings, tailgating, dancing, family traditions, and chasing big dreams. Trish also discusses running a luxury inn, creating memorable dining experiences, and why happiness starts with deciding to go after what you want every day. A fun, food-filled, and inspiring conversation packed with laughs, local flavor, and practical wisdom.
Episode 33 of Talking Shit About Nothing is here, and this one's buzzing Jimmy and Richie sit down with Dr. Rick Mercurio (Player 232 from Squid Game: The Challenge) for a hilarious and surprisingly deep conversation about reality TV, beekeeping, family, tattoos, pizza, fig trees, and living life to the fullest. From surviving Squid Game challenges to protecting 13 bee hives in Pennsylvania, Dr. Rick shares incredible stories about honeybees, bears, endurance running, and why pollinators matter more than ever. Plus: behind-the-scenes Squid Game stories, the famous Ganbu Gang, homemade gelato, and a whole lot of laughs. Protect the bees, plant some flowers, and enjoy the ride.
In Episode 32 of Talking Shit About Nothing, Jim, Rich, Bruno, and Vinny dive into an unforgettable Italian-themed episode packed with Boston stories, family traditions, sports debates, North End memories, food talk, and nonstop laughs. From homemade sauce vs. gravy arguments to old-school pizza stories, Bruins and Celtics rants, and growing up in Italian neighborhoods around Newton, Watertown, and Boston's North End — this episode is pure chaos in the best way possible. The crew shares hilarious stories about Italian culture, feasts on Adams Street, deli memories, giant subs, homemade wine, cheese-making, tipping debates, and life growing up in tight-knit Italian families. If you love comedy podcasts, Boston culture, Italian-American stories, sports talk, and unfiltered conversations, this episode delivers it all.
Liza Treyger jokes about talking shit in her Netflix special, "Night Owl".
In Episode 31 of Talking Shit About Nothing, it's just Jimmy and Richie for a classic throwback-style episode — no guests, no structure, just the boys busting each other's chops and talking about real-life chaos. Jimmy tells the story of blowing out a tire and being rescued by the legendary Ryan from AAA, who may or may not actually be a superhero. Richie gives a quick sports update and explains how Boston sports is officially in the crapper for the first time in a long time, and how the downfall of every local team is slowly destroying his mental health. The boys bounce around from random life situations to classic TSAN nonsense, reminiscing and riffing the way the show started. Meanwhile, the subscriber count keeps climbing… So fair warning: Joe Rogan better watch his ass. A laid-back, hilarious episode full of friendship, complaining, and absolute nonsense — exactly how it should be.
In Episode 30 of Talking Shit About Nothing, the boys welcome special guest Michael Cloherty O'Connell (MCO) — author of Lady Liberty's Treasure Hunt and Riley's Treasure Chase. MCO joins Jimmy and Richie to talk about his journey as a writer, the inspiration behind his books, and how he blends history, storytelling, and real-life adventure into interactive treasure hunt experiences across New England and beyond. From personal stories rooted in family and community to the excitement of uncovering hidden clues, Michael breaks down what makes his work so unique. The conversation dives into the themes of history, exploration, and connection, as well as how his books encourage readers of all ages to get outside, learn, and create lasting memories. It's a fun and insightful episode about creativity, passion, and the thrill of the hunt — all with the usual Talking Shit About Nothing energy.
After a little hiatus, Talking Shit About Nothing is BACK in the podcast room — and Jimmy returns from Amsterdam with stories that sound almost too wild to be real. From the moment the episode starts, Richie is basically along for the ride, sitting back in disbelief as Jimmy unloads story after story from a trip filled with questionable decisions, unforgettable moments, and nonstop chaos. No deep analysis, no structure — just pure storytelling and classic TSAN energy as Jimmy walks everyone through everything that went down overseas. If you missed the boys, this is the perfect comeback episode. Buckle up — it gets weird fast.
They're BACK!!! Whether you're a longtime listener from the Coffee and Hardcore days or just joining the chaos, the filters are officially off. Wiley and Mic are stripping things back to basics: no scripts, no forced segments, just two hosts doing what they do best—talking shit.In this episode, the guys lean into the new era of the show, catching up on everything they've been holding back. It's raw, it's loud, and it's exactly how this started. It's Talking Shit with Wiley and Mic!Featured:Willis and SonCaptive PortalOttobot / Captive Portal Single
In Episode 28 of Talking Shit About Nothing, the boys welcome in coworker Brendan Maloney from Wilson Farms for an episode that quickly turns into organized chaos. With Richie officially catching the golf bug, he and Brendan attempt to teach Jimmy the basics of the game. The result? Jimmy is equal parts confused, intrigued, and questioning everything about golf culture. The conversation shifts to the NFL offseason, where the guys break down free agency moves, especially what the Patriots have lost and gained as they reshape their roster. At some point, the dynamic starts to feel like the Three Stooges, which naturally leads to a full conversation about the classic comedy trio and their best bits. To close things out, Jimmy turns his attention to dating in 2026, grilling Brendan on what it's like navigating the modern dating world — apps, expectations, and everything in between. Golf, football, comedy, and dating confusion. It's peak Talking Shit About Nothing energy.
In Episode 27 of Talking Shit About Nothing, Jimmy and Richie welcome Survivor Season 48 contestant and Massachusetts native Justin Pioppi to the show. The guys talk with Justin about his experience competing on Survivor, what the adventure was really like, and the lessons he took away from being part of one of television's most intense competitions. Justin also shares details about his own podcast, “Two Pizzas in a Pod…cast,” and how his newest venture — opening Luigi's Pizza in Revere — has given him more purpose and motivation than ever before. From reality TV to running a pizza shop, Justin breaks down how life after Survivor has been both busy and rewarding. It's a fun conversation about Survivor, entrepreneurship, pizza, and everything in between — all with the classic Talking Shit About Nothing energy.
In Episode 26 of Talking Sh*t About Nothing, the boys welcome a very special guest — Annie “Trashy Annie” Davis from Survivor Season 49. Annie joins the show to talk about her experience on Survivor, what it's really like being part of one of the most intense reality competitions on TV, and how the whole adventure unfolded for her. She also shares the hilarious origin story behind the “Trashy Annie” nickname, and dives into her life as a musician, explaining how her music has allowed her to travel the world, meet new people, and create unforgettable experiences along the way. It's a fun conversation full of Survivor stories, music talk, and plenty of the usual nonsense you expect from the show.
The boys are back… and morale is low. Fresh off the Patriots' Super Bowl loss to the Seahawks, the crew tries to process the heartbreak the only way they know how: by talking absolute nonsense for an hour. Spirits may be down in New England, but at least the Celtics are rolling, giving Boston fans something to cling to. Meanwhile, Massachusetts is buried under what feels like a full-blown snowpocalypse, and the guys break down how they're surviving the endless snow, freezing temps, and general winter misery. In this episode: -The emotional fallout from the Patriots' Super Bowl loss -Why the Celtics might save Boston sports fans' sanity -Surviving the Massachusetts snowpocalypse -Winter coping strategies, bad driving, and cabin fever -The usual completely unnecessary tangents It's a little football therapy, a little weather complaining, and a lot of talking shit about nothing.
It's Super Bowl week, and for once on Talking Shit About Nothing, the boys are actually talking about… football. With the Patriots and Seahawks set to clash in the big game, this episode is dedicated to everything that makes Super Bowl Sunday great — the fans, the food, the teams, the traditions, and of course the football itself. Jimmy admits he knows absolutely nothing about football, but he does his best to keep up as the conversation gets deeper into the game. To help balance things out, the show brings in two resident superfans, Terry and Gary, to break down: Who's going to win Who's going to lose Key matchups Game plans And all the little intricacies that decide a Super Bowl Meanwhile, Jimmy is far more interested in Bad Bunny and the halftime show… and honestly, God bless him for it. It's football, food, halftime chaos, and classic TSAN energy. Stick around — this one's going to be fun.
Recorded on a Monday at the Palm Street Studio. Talking Shit with JTK sounds amazing. The crazy weekend and a Malort find. Speaking of Malort, The Blade scores the podcast some bling, thanks Malort! Phil catches a pike and talks to it. The Sport's Suicide Wing challenge is awful and Phil fails at it, no one wants the leftovers or really to try the sauce. Featuring The Grumpy Griller, Brian "The Blade", Hall of Famer Junior!, Phil Nichol, and Adam Filkins. Make good choices!
This week on Talking Shit About Nothing, Jimmy and Richie welcome a very special guest all the way from Australia — Amanda Alderson (#267) from Squid Game: The Challenge. Jimmy and Amanda met during the filming of the show, and she joins the boys to break down her entire experience. Amanda talks about how she doesn't even like reality TV, yet somehow found herself going through the audition process and miraculously landing a spot on one of the biggest shows in the world. Despite the cold, the hunger, and the difficulty of the experience, she calls it the best experience of her life, largely because of the people she met and the relationships she formed along the way. The conversation then turns into a full-on Australia interrogation. Jimmy and Richie grill Amanda on everything from the weather (it's 9 degrees in Boston, by the way), to kangaroos, tourism, cultural differences, and what life is really like down under. It's a mix of Squid Game stories, international roasting, and classic TSAN energy — you don't want to miss this one.
Description This week on Talking Shit About Nothing, the boys are freezing their butts off in New England — but at least the Patriots are still playing football and heading to the AFC Championship against the Broncos. Richie is absolutely pumped and fully locked into playoff mode, while Jimmy finds himself catching the football bug and isn't quite sure how to handle it. Emotions are high, temperatures are low, and playoff nerves are officially setting in. The conversation takes a turn into some classic TSAN hypotheticals, including: If you were a landlord and your tenant stopped paying rent… what's your move? Reasonable adult solutions? Probably not. So bundle up for this one — it's cold outside, but the takes are scorching hot. ❄️
This week on Talking Shit About Nothing, Jimmy and Richie welcome a special guest with a wild backstory — Marcus Chapman (#209) from Squid Game: The Challenge. While filming the show, Jimmy and Marcus hit it off… eventually. First impressions nearly ended in a fight, but what started as tension turned into a real friendship forged through shared misery. The guys break down how they met, their early clashes, and what it was really like living inside the Squid Game experience. Marcus talks about making it all the way to spot 65 before being eliminated in the infamous marbles game, the brutal lack of food on set, and how he managed to lose 7 pounds during his time on the show. The conversation also dives into the personal side of Marcus's life — from his dogs' TikTok and YouTube channel, to his love of barbecue, and even his surprisingly calming gardening hobby. It's a mix of chaos, laughs, and real moments as the boys reminisce about their experiences and bond over the shared insanity of Squid Game. Storytelling, roasting, and friendship — exactly what Talking Shit About Nothing does best.
After a three-week holiday break, Talking Shit About Nothing is officially back. Jimmy and Richie kick off Episode 20 by catching up on how the holidays went — starting with Jimmy's trip to Hawaii, where he re-proposed to his wife (yes, very romantic). He breaks down the excursions, the volcanoes, the relaxation, and of course being mistaken for Terry Bradshaw approximately 100 times. Things take a turn on Jimmy's flight home, where he finds himself seated next to a cat in a bag that smelled absolutely brutal. His solution? Removing both boots to fight smell with smell — a true man of genius move. Side note: Taking your shoes off on a plane… yes or no? Comment below. Richie recaps his family holiday, his growing obsession with Binho Board (the tabletop soccer flicking game), and an unfortunate slip on the ice that resulted in a “minor” concussion. So if you hear him slurring his words, don't worry — it's just his brain rebooting. He'll be back to normal soon (we hope… eek). To close out the episode, the boys dive into New Year's resolutions. Can you guess Jimmy's? Of course — get on Survivor. Richie keeps it grounded: more time with family, make that paper, and get into better shape. Classic TSAN chaos, laughs, and questionable decisions — welcome back.
It's the final Talking Shit About Nothing episode of 2025, and Jimmy and Richie close out the year with a full-on Christmas extravaganza. The boys dive into their favorite family traditions—from Elf on a Shelf chaos to Jimmy's family dusting off the legendary Super 8 camcorder to film Christmas morning like it's 1979. They take a nostalgic trip through the greatest toy crazes ever, including Tickle Me Elmo, Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots, and all the holiday madness that comes with chasing down the “it” gift of the season. To end the episode, Jimmy shares a heartfelt message encouraging everyone to reach out to the people in their lives—because life is short, and a simple text or call can mean everything. Richie follows with a reminder to appreciate family and cherish the time you have with them. It's warm, it's funny, it's nostalgic, and it's the perfect way to close out the year. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Jimmy, Richie, and the Talking Shit About Nothing family. We'll see you in 2026!

It's Episode 18 of Talking Shit About Nothing and Billy Gridley is BACK! Last time his house was a Halloween wonderland… now it's lit up like a Christmas fever dream bright enough to make Clark Griswold pack it in. This week, the boys dive deep into all things Christmas — from the modern traditions we love to the ancient lore that shaped the holiday, including the Romans' Saturnalia and the terrifying legend of Krampus. And because it wouldn't be Talking Shit About Nothing without a detour, the conversation somehow swerves into polygamy before circling back to the real question of the season: Are Gremlins and Die Hard actually Christmas movies? Holiday vibes, wild tangents, and Billy's electric energy — it's all here. Grab some eggnog and hang out with the guys!
In this Thanksgiving episode, Jimmy and Richie gather around the metaphorical table to talk all things Turkey Day. From the food they love (and the food they pretend to love), to the legendary Thanksgiving football slate, to the weird, chaotic, and beloved family traditions that make the holiday special — nothing is off limits. It's cozy, it's chaotic, it's questionable… in other words, it's Talking Shit About Nothing.
This week, Jimmy and Richie talk to Jimmy's daughter, Author and Illustrator Michelle MacLean about her book "Abilities". Michelle MacLean is a 7th grade Special Educator in Sudbury Massachusetts. Her inspiration for her graphic novel came when her students with different disabilities started to make negative comments about their challenges with school. Not finding any characters for her students to connect with, she decided to create them. Michelle had her own challenges growing up in school as she was placed in a sub separate special education class for having dyslexia. Despite having dyslexia, she was always a creative cartoonist. Michelle went on to earn her masters at Framingham State University in Special Education. Her goal for this book is to help kids with different disabilities learn more about themselves and persevere through the challenges of school. The character in her book Daniella is a reflection of herself growing up in middle school.
This week, Jimmy and Richie welcome Daniel Berlin, Babson College grad and the creative mind behind the bold new chocolate brand Dirty Gut. Daniel breaks down how he came up with the idea, the eye-catching name, and why the candy looks like it already has a bite taken out of it. The guys learn what probiotics actually are (and why they belong in your chocolate), talk entrepreneurship and branding, and even hear Daniel's dream of pitching Dirty Gut on Shark Tank. Plus, there's plenty of laughter as the crew talks about big goals — and what Dan plans to name his boat when he hits it big. Check out Dirty Gut and follow along here:
This week, Jimmy and Richie welcome Sweet Kenney Kelly, fan favorite from Big Brother Season 26. Kenney opens up about his time on the show — the challenges, alliances, and behind-the-scenes drama — and shares stories from his incredible past as an undercover police officer in Boston. From reality TV to real-life action, this episode is packed with wild stories, laughs, and lessons from a man who's truly done it all.
It's the Talking Shit About Nothing Halloween episode, and Jimmie and Richie are joined by two returning favorites — Billy and Gary — for a night of horror movie talk and absolute chaos. Gary dips his toe back into the deep (and dangerous) waters with his Jaws monologue, while Billy delivers an epic four-minute Gladiator scene entirely from memory — no script, no notes, just raw cinematic energy. But the real horror story? Gary's infamous movie theater shoe incident — when he left his sneakers to save seats, only to find them gone (and new people sitting there) when he came back. Mayhem ensued. It's scary, hilarious, and everything you love about Talking Shit About Nothing. Grab your candy and tune in for some Halloween madness.
This week, Jimmie and Richie welcome Sophia Willinger, host of the upcoming podcast Slightly Messy, Mostly Iconic. Sophia talks about finding beauty in the chaos of real life, previews some of her favorite storytelling moments, and even blesses the show with an a cappella performance of “Vienna.” In the second half, the guys slip into full fall mode — doing what they do best: talking about everything and nothing all at once. It's cozy, chaotic, and a little bit iconic — the perfect autumn listen.
This week on Talking Shit About Nothing, Jimmie and Richie sit down with TJ Stukes — former professional basketball player turned reality TV competitor. TJ opens up about his NBA journey, the injury that changed everything, and how he found a new lane in the world of reality television — including how he and Jimmie first met on the set of Squid Game: The Challenge. It's an episode packed with heart, hustle, and behind-the-scenes stories from both the court and the camera.
On this week's episode of Talking Shit About Nothing, Jimmie and Richie welcome the legendary Jerry York — Hall of Fame hockey coach and icon of Boston College and beyond. The guys sit down to talk about Jerry's incredible coaching legacy, his approach to leadership and motivation, and how he's been spending retirement — including how the golf game's looking these days. It's a rare and inspiring conversation with one of the all-time greats in college hockey.
