Tensions boiled over outside a Portland ICE facility this July 4th weekend. Anti-ICE protesters, who have been camped out for weeks, ramped up their harassment—threatening federal agents and vowing to expose their identities. But the agents weren't having it. In a surprising moment, they fired back with humor, blasting "See You Later, Alligator" as they cleared the area.Meanwhile, a related incident in Texas took a darker turn, with a police officer shot outside another ICE facility following an alleged ambush attempt. Federal officials, including Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, have vowed a strong response.

Sadly, we decided this week that this episode would be our last for a while. It was a difficult decision to make, but for the reasons discussed in this episode, it make the most sense for us right now until we can come back bigger, better, and stronger. Please keep the light of freedom on for us and do all you can to keep working toward a little saner world in our absence. We will be back and better than ever as soon as we are able. Hello there everybody and welcome to the first episode of 2025! We hope that you all had a wonderful and restful holiday season with your family and friends, and got to enjoy some quality relaxation and gaming time. If you haven't heard our announcement episode / dispatch from a week or so ago, there are lots of fun and exciting changes in 2025 for Trophy Talk and the other shows under the Trophy Talk Network. One of the not so fun things, in fact very bittersweet things though is that this episode is Darryl's last episode as a co-host of Trophy Talk. With life changing events on the way for him (which he goes in to this episode) he felt that it was the right time for him to ride away into the sunset. Fear not though, Darryl will still be in the community and we hope to have him on as a guest whenever he feels up to it! Having said that, this episode in the main focuses on what we've been playing for the past two weeks, which as been a lot! Josh has fully immersed himself in the realm of 3D with his foray and continued exploits with the PSVR2. Does it add a whole new dimension to trophy hunting? In some sense yes it does! Darryl closes out the year strong with Life is Strange: True Colors and the platinum in a Discord favorite, Resident Evil: Remake. Colin, eager to game after being away from his console for a few weeks continues his grinds in Resident Evil: Revelations, and Black Ops 6 but also takes a much needed trip to Constantinople / Istanbul in Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Thank you for listening, and enjoy!

It's so bittersweet. We deeply appreciate all of you who have joined us and listened to this project and labor of love over the years. With over 140 episodes of Maine-based true crime, paranormal, and spooky stories (and 40+ bonus episodes!), we are proud of what we have accomplished and what we came here to create. We are closing down this project not because we have necessarily run out of stories to tell, but because our personal stories are changing. We have other projects on the horizon that we would like to venture toward and, while we will always have a sacred place in our hearts for Homegrown Horror, it is truly a labor of love, requiring hours upon hours of research, creativity, writing, recording, and editing. We felt it was time to let it go before we ran ourselves completely ragged trying to juggle it all.We do also have a hope that maybe folks will come and find us “post mortem,” if you will, and listen to some of these stories, enjoy them, and share them. We will still be posting episode updates for the backlog of posts we didn't get to at the time of sharing the weekly episodes and bonus episodes and are happy to respond to questions and community. Saying goodbye is never easy. But, you haven't seen the last of the misadventures of B and Jackson, a cohost and a cohost. It's not goodbye, just so long for now. July 4th 1978, the Freemans (Cliff DeYoung, Veronica Cartwright) are preparing for fireworks and send oldest son, David (Joey Cramer) out to meet his little brother, Jeff (Albie Whitaker), when he goes missing. David reappears 8 years later having not aged a day since he left and at the same time a mysterious craft is located in downed power lines nearby. He doesn't quite believe until he sees "little" brother Jeff (Matt Adler), who is now older than him. Dr. Faraday (Howard Hesseman) of NASA is alerted when images of the craft appear in David's brain scans. In order to find the truth, the Freemans allow their son to go to NASA where he's kept from everyone but the doctors and a young assistant, Carolyn (Sarah Jessica Parker). The whispers in his mind lead him to the ship run by Trimaxion (Paul Reubens), sent from Phaelon to study other lifeforms, but now it's stuck until it can retrieve the start charts from David's brain. Wanting only to get home (preferably to his own time) David boards the ship and makes the Flight of the Navigator, this week on Doom Generation. I am honored to connect with Esther Blum today! She is the bestselling author of "Cavewomen Don't Get Fat," "Eat, Drink, and Be Gorgeous," and most recently, "See Ya Later, Ovulator!". Esther currently maintains a busy virtual practice where she helps women balance hormones, lose stubborn body fat, and treat the root cause of health struggles. Today we speak about medical gaslighting, how weight gain does not have to be a part of aging, andropause and menopause, and the Women's Health Initiative. We dive into physical changes and significant symptoms during perimenopause and menopause, the role of the pelvic floor, deciphering what the dreaded “menopot” is, what does not work, and advocacy in terms of testing and hormones. We also address constipation, weight loss resistance, and how our tolerance for alcohol changes as we age, especially when using bioidenticals or hormone replacement therapy. IN THIS EPISODE YOU WILL LEARN: How women can redefine their experience and continue having an active sex life after menopause. How to surrender, lean in, and take the pressure off yourself while going through perimenopause and menopause. Why is there so much misinformation and medical gaslighting in our society? Why Esther wrote See Ya Later, Ovulator! Some common symptoms of perimenopause. Risks women may face after a hysterectomy. Changes that happen in the vaginal canal and pelvic floor during menopause.
