For 40 years "Date with Del" was a Middle Georgia favorite on WMAZ television and radio. MaryTherese, one of many Middle Georgia broadcasters who was influenced by Del, hosts this special podcast. Taken from a 2018 interview, Del talks about her long career that began at WNEX radio in Macon. You'll hear some excerpts from Del's all-night show on WGN in Chicago, where she was the first female DJ in the US to host an overnight radio show.
