Employee ownership looks compelling on paper, but what does it actually mean to have a stake in the place where you work? This session puts employee owners at the center, sharing firsthand accounts of how ownership has changed their relationship to their work, their workplace, and their futures, offering an unfiltered look at the promises and realities of building an economy where more workers have a real share in what they create. Our speakers include Charlie Arrindell (Division Manager, Lewis Tree Services); Krystal Thompson (Senior Software Solutions Advisor, Advisors for Change); Nicole Vitello (Vice President, Equal Exchange); and moderator Matt Helmer (Director of Job Quality and Worker Well-Being, Economic Opportunities Program, The Aspen Institute). This video comes from the 2026 Employee Ownership Ideas Forum, which took place June 2-3, 2026, in Washington DC and online. For more information about this session, including a transcript, speaker bios, and additional resources, visit our website. For additional content from the Forum, visit our main event page.To view more sessions and event highlights, subscribe to our YouTube channel.Or subscribe to our podcast and listen on the go.About this event:The Employee Ownership Ideas Forum is an annual event hosted by the Aspen Institute Economic Opportunities Program and the Institute for the Study of Employee Ownership and Profit Sharing at Rutgers University. The Forum convenes participants — including members of Congress, congressional staff, administration officials, employee owners, investors, lenders, researchers, practitioners, and policy experts — around the shared, bipartisan goal of increasing broad-based employee ownership and providing workers and communities with the opportunity to own their share of America's prosperity and future. The Forum highlights innovative policies and practices, features firsthand experiences and perspectives of employee owners, and fosters dialogue and engagement to drive concrete actions toward expanding employee ownership. We are grateful to our Forum Champions — the Ford Foundation, Prudential Financial, the Sorenson Impact Foundation, JPMorganChase, and EO Equals — for their principal support of the Forum. "The Biblical teaching of Unitarianism (One God) versus the teaching of Trinitarianism (3 gods) is outlined. The word "trinity" or related words are not found in the Bible. This teaching only surfaced around AD 350-381. The Bible affirms monotheism not polytheism."Inspiring, What if the most widely held belief about God isn't actually found in the Bible? In this thought-provoking and deeply insightful exposition, we embark on a journey through Scripture to examine the foundations of Trinitarianism versus the Biblical Unitarian position. This is not an attack on sincere believers, but a heartfelt and respectful exploration of what the Bible actually teaches about the Father and His Son.This outstanding presentation moves beyond simple proof-texting to reveal the historical development of the Trinity, the philosophical challenges it presents, and the wonderful, plain reading of Scripture that points to one God, the Father, and one Lord Jesus Christ, His exalted Son. We delve into the concept of divine agency, the personification of wisdom, and the revealing truth of what the early church truly believed. If you have ever wondered why the word "Trinity" isn't in the Bible, or how a plain reading of Acts 2 or 1 Corinthians 15 shapes our understanding of who Jesus is, this video is for you. It's a wonderful opportunity to see the cohesive and logical beauty of the Unitarian understanding of God's plan.**Chapters:**00:00 - Introduction: A Respectful Approach to a Difficult Subject02:08 - Playing Offense: Why We Don't Hold to the Trinity03:22 - The Missing Word: "Trinity" and Later Creeds05:40 - Peter's Testimony: A Plain Reading of Acts 208:27 - When Did the Theory Arise? DeAnn Gatto on winning the Mr. South Bend male impersonator competition

DeAnn Gatto worked as a bouncer at the Seahorse, a center of queer culture in South Bend for decades. It was there that she befriended some legendary male impersonation performers. They encouraged DeAnn, teaching her the art and skill of impersonation and the differences between that and drag performance. One day, DeAnn was pushed to enter the Mr. South Bend competition, a title that showed to her, and to everyone, that she could be the reigning champion of male impersonators. In this episode of “South Bend's Own Words,” DeAnn shares her experiences bouncing at the Seahorse and befriending its owner, Gloria Frankel. Many experiences were great. Some were pretty disgusting. Despite the Seahorse's place in local LGBTQ+ history, it was a bar, after all. But DeAnn's years in this storied place in South Bend's queer history were special to her, to her fellow male impersonators, and to those who saw her pour countless hours (and wardrobe dollars) into her performances. This episode was produced by Caleb Matz from the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts at IU South Bend, and by George Garner from the Civil Rights Heritage Center. Full transcript of this episode available here.Want to learn more about South Bend's history? At Ghislaine Maxwell's sentencing in June 2022, survivors delivered powerful and emotional victim impact statements that left no doubt about the damage she had inflicted. One woman stated plainly, “I never would have met Jeffrey Epstein if not for you,” holding Maxwell personally responsible for the years of abuse that followed. Another described her as a “monster,” recounting how Maxwell's grooming, manipulation, and betrayal left her permanently scarred. The survivors spoke about shattered lives, ruined trust, and emotional damage that will never fully heal. Maxwell wasn't a passive bystander—she was the architect of their exploitation, intimately involved in luring and preparing underage girls for sexual abuse under the guise of mentorship and opportunity.Anyone attempting to refurbish Maxwell's image would do well to stop and truly absorb what she did—and who she did it to. These weren't abstract victims or peripheral crimes. They were calculated acts committed against vulnerable girls, many of whom were already struggling. Maxwell used charm, privilege, and social power as tools of entrapment, playing the role of the "trusted woman" to disarm and deliver victims to a predator. Her refusal to accept responsibility, her lies under oath, and her ongoing lack of remorse only deepen the stain of her crimes. There can be no public rehabilitation due the wreckage she left behind.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:M6SQmaxSF

Before the arrest. Before the charges. Before Celeste Rivas Hernandez's name entered the conversation. D4VD sat in front of cameras and told the world exactly who he was — and everybody heard a success story. He said he lived “vicariously through other people.” He said he'd never experienced the feelings in his own music. He said he invented emotional scenarios and performed them so convincingly that millions believed they were real. He grew up homeschooled, recorded in a closet, and went from total isolation to billion-stream fame without ever learning how to navigate human connection outside of a screen. Those aren't accusations. Those are things David Anthony Burke told interviewers voluntarily, in his own voice, before anyone was investigating anything. This episode uses Burke's own publicly available words — alongside the prosecution's People's Brief — to trace the psychology that allegedly enabled what prosecutors describe: a year-long alleged double life, an alleged infrastructure of secrecy, and an alleged forty-eight-hour window after Celeste was allegedly killed during which Burke reportedly sat for a podcast interview, released an album, and attended a party. We examine the welfare check where law enforcement told Burke that Celeste was thirteen, the yearbook photo he allegedly had on his phone when they said it, and what prosecutors say he did next — allegedly paying a classmate a thousand dollars to smuggle a secret phone to her after her parents took hers away. His biggest song is “Romantic Homicide.” His album is Withered. His music video shows a body going into a trunk. According to prosecutors, the art was allegedly running parallel to reality the entire time.Burke has pleaded not guilty to all charges and maintains his innocence.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?  Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth faced the first round of intense questioning on Capitol Hill on April 29 as lawmakers scrutinized the ongoing U.S.-Israeli war with Iran, launched without formal congressional approval. The hearing, Hegseth's first since the conflict began in late February, quickly shifted gears when a Democratic lawmaker used Hegseth's own past statement to challenge his stance on military obedience. Hegseth later moved to penalize him by reducing his retirement pay and demoting his retired rank, a move that triggered legal challenges and political backlash, with critics arguing that the Trump administration was targeting dissent rather than addressing the substance of the concerns raised in the video.Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Joseph Duggar, thirty-one, a former star of TLC's 19 Kids and Counting, has been charged in Florida with lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under twelve and lewd and lascivious conduct — a life felony — stemming from a 2020 family vacation to Panama City Beach. A fourteen-year-old girl told investigators that Joseph repeatedly asked her to sit on his lap when she was nine, positioned her under a blanket on a couch, and manipulated her underwear. He has pleaded not guilty and was released on six hundred thousand dollars bond. He is barred from unsupervised contact with any minor, including his own four children.According to the arrest affidavit, the victim's father confronted Joseph, who admitted to the alleged abuse. Arkansas detectives then monitored a second call where he allegedly admitted again. Criminal defense attorney Bob Motta explains what happens when recorded admissions become the prosecution's centerpiece — and how you build a defense around words your client already said out loud.Joseph is simultaneously fighting charges in two states. In Arkansas, he and his wife Kendra face four counts each of endangering the welfare of a minor and false imprisonment after a home visit reportedly revealed locks on the outside of their children's bedroom doors. Their four children are in state custody. Kendra told Joseph on a recorded jail call that she'd hired her own attorney — "It's not for you. It's only for me." Motta examines what that separation signals to prosecutors and whether Kendra's path to regaining custody runs directly through testifying against her husband. The family's private communications — emails from Jim Bob and Anna Duggar, calls from family members reportedly prioritizing forgiveness over the alleged victim — are now public. This is the second Duggar brother to face serious allegations involving children. Josh Duggar is currently serving twelve and a half years in federal prison.Robin Dreeke and Bob Motta break down the charges, the alleged confessions, the family communications, and the strategic catastrophe of fighting two criminal cases in two states simultaneously.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Last week, I released Part One (you can listen here). This series grew from a seed - a conversation with Emmanuel H. Brown. Emmanuel has been navigating his own journey, seeking out the places where manhood and masculinity might be expanded to hold the lived experience of trans men.As someone rooted in the mythopoetic lineage, I recognize that these voices have often been missing from our circles. This series is an invitation to a broader framework - one that is mutually supportive for the soul of every man.In our first episode, The Seed and the Soil, we explored the trans man as a trickster figure - one who troubles the binary architecture many of us have been raised with. We looked at the history of gender as social control and the tension between biological certainty and the expansive human spirit. We asked how we might hold space for genuine curiosity and reckon with real violence against trans folk without losing our humanity to the polarized scripts of our time.Subscribe to get the full series in your inbox. If the first conversation was about the why of this series, this one is about the who.In this episode, Stories of Transition, we move from the intellect to the heart. By sharing their personal stories of transition - the specific griefs, private triumphs, and quiet moments of reckoning - Lev, Emmanuel, Kanoa, and Aliko disarm the listener with a rare and honest vulnerability. We touch the visceral edges of their paths: mapping the territory where their unique stories cross and diverge, showing that they are all bound by the longing for place in the Book of Life.Overall, the intention is simple: to widen our capacity to remain human to one another. It's about dissolving the outdated programs of society to find the infinity of the breath underneath. You're welcome to leave your respectful & nuanced thoughts in the comments below. Respite For Your Mind KIDS - https://subsplash.com/u/risingaboveministries/media/l/7z3h63n-respite-for-kids Episode Summary- In this inspiring and heartfelt episode, listeners meet Toby, a 19-year-old student from Ohio whose life is a powerful testament to resilience, faith, and joy. Living with his parents, younger sister, two older brothers, and his loyal service dog, Toby shares what it's like to navigate senior year while managing the challenges of spina bifida. Toby opens up about his early medical journey—becoming medically fragile at just two weeks old and relying on a tracheostomy, ventilator, and feeding tube. After undergoing 66 surgeries over the course of his life, he reflects on how, through faith and perseverance, he learned to speak and eat by mouth—milestones that once seemed impossible. Throughout the conversation, Toby's personality shines as he talks about the things he loves, from youth group and Young Life Capernaum to video games, Christian music, Adventures in Odyssey, and all things Star Wars. With honesty and humor, he shares the ups and downs of daily life, offering a candid look at both the struggles and the victories. At its core, this episode is a story of trusting God's plan in the face of uncertainty. Toby's unwavering faith and positive outlook remind listeners that even in life's hardest moments, joy can still be found. His journey encourages others to embrace hope, lean into their faith, and keep moving forward—no matter the obstacles. Moment of Reflection- Toby shared that before one of his surgeries, he quietly asked God, “God, are you really with me?” In that moment, he felt God's presence clearly showing him that He was indeed there. Take a moment today to reflect: where in your life are you questioning if God really sees you—or your child? Spend some time in prayer or quiet reflection, and open your heart to the ways He is showing up, even in the uncertainty.

This week's episode is one of the most difficult and important conversations we've had. Beckie Mossor shares the reality of a devastating house fire that took a friend, three pets, and everything she owned, and what those 24 seconds revealed. For veterinary professionals, this isn't just a personal story. It's a wake-up call. From how quickly fires actually spread to the gaps in what we think we know about safety, Beckie walks through what mattered, what didn't, and what she wishes every clinic and pet owner understood. You'll hear practical takeaways you can apply immediately, including why attic heat sensors matter, how pets respond to alarms, and why most fire plans fall apart in real life. There's also an honest look at decision-making under pressure and the limits of what's possible when seconds count. Today is International Transgender Day of Visibility and right moment to kick off this new series on The Mythic Masculine. It didn't grow out of a plan; it grew out of a message from a trans man named Emmanuel H. Brown.Emmanuel was looking to join an in-person gathering of mine—a ritual space he discovered was not open to trans men. It was an intentional choice made with my collaborator Deus Fortier, rooted in cultivating a container for men whose maps of masculinity have always (at least on the surface) lined up to how they were culturally assigned at birth. But I'd left a note in the invitation for anyone to reach out if they wanted to talk about it. Emmanuel reached out. He invited me into a circle with several other trans men to hear about their lives and their perspectives on men's work and masculinity. This series is the result of that invitation. You can find the full participant bios series page here.Subscribe to get the full series in your inbox. In Part One we look at the collective cultural moment. We look at how trans folk represent a ‘trickster' figure, troubling the psychic architecture of the binary many of us were raised with. We talk about the urge to ‘monster' the other, but we also look at the history of how gender has been used as a tool of social control. We explore the tension: How do we hold space for genuine confusion and curiosity without defaulting to a label of ‘transphobia' if someone doesn't immediately adopt the progressive position? How do we reckon with the real violence trans folk experience while creating more acceptance and room for their perspectives? And how do we navigate the certainty of ‘biological essentialism' and the expansive possibilities of gender that are an invitation for us all? Now, it's worth saying up front: there is a lot of volatility around this subject. Emotions run high and it can feel like there's a lot at stake.Wherever you currently find yourself, whatever you might already believe, this is an invitation into a beginner's mind.My intention with this series isn't about preaching indoctrination. It's about seeing how the tapestry of masculinity might be troubled, re-woven, and made more beautiful for us all. You're welcome to leave your respectful & nuanced thoughts in the comments below. Any aggressive, dismissive or mean-spirited posts will be deleted.Let's see if we can craft an approach filled with mutual respect and wonder. This is a public episode. Kouri Richins Verdict: The Appeal Record, the Pending Felonies, and What the Jury's Own Words Reveal

A Summit County jury returned a unanimous guilty verdict against Kouri Richins on charges of murdering her husband Eric with a lethal dose of fentanyl. No murder weapon was physically recovered. The state's star witness sustained credibility damage on cross-examination. The defense presented zero witnesses. The jury, by its own public account, walked into deliberations hoping to find innocence — and deliberated for three hours before returning a verdict they could not avoid. This week on True Crime Today, we examine the full legal record of what produced that verdict and what comes after it.The prosecution's case was built on pattern evidence rather than a single dispositive piece of physical proof. Eric Richins executed a full estate restructuring approximately eighteen months before his death, documenting for his attorney that his purpose was to protect his children from his wife. That legally formalized, pre-mortem expression of fear was before the jury alongside a financial pattern: undisclosed debt, insurance policies Eric reportedly had no knowledge of, and alleged signature forgeries across multiple documents. Taken individually, no element closes the case. As a pattern, it held against a jury that was actively looking for an alternative. The appeal record has substance. Defense attorneys have documented grounds including a denied venue change motion, multiple mistrial motions rejected throughout trial, a coaching video, and contested evidentiary rulings. Retired FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer assesses each ground against what Judge Mrazik built into the record — including his on-the-record confirmation of Kouri's waiver of her right to testify and the defense's decision to call no witnesses, both of which appear specifically designed to limit appellate exposure. Former prosecutors reviewing this case have described it as an extraordinarily difficult appeal to win.Separate from the murder conviction: twenty-six pending financial felony charges involving mortgage fraud, money laundering, and bad checks have not yet gone to trial. Sentencing on the murder conviction is scheduled for May 13th.The verdict is rendered. The legal exposure continues.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? On Monday's Mark Levin Show, President Trump is calling the shots in the Iran war. He acts in U.S. interests by viewing a nuclear Iran as a grave threat, and maintains a close alliance with Israel through military, intelligence, and personal ties with Benjamin Netanyahu. He's not secretly controlled by the Israelis or an Israel lobby as Joe Kent and Tucker Carlson suggest. A recent CBS poll shows strong support among Republicans for the war in Iran, with 92% of MAGA supporting Trump's position on the issue.  Also, several Arab states, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia, openly desire the destruction of Iran's regime and support regime change, a point rarely discussed, especially by critics of Israel. Since Trump launched the actions against Iran, combined U.S. and Israeli strikes have inflicted massive damage on Iran's extensive military infrastructure, which has led to a more peaceful Middle East. Later, Sheridan Gorman, an 18-year-old college student, was allegedly murdered by an illegal immigrant. A life senselessly ended by someone not supposed to be in the country all because of sanctuary cites and Democrat policies.  Finally, Joe Kent calls in to explain his resignation from the Director of the National Counterterrorism Center. He wrote about watching other people experience emotional connection as though through a window. He built an academic career around studying the psychology of people who cross lines. He documented his own interior life with a precision that is both striking and deeply unsettling — not because it sounds like a killer, but because parts of it sound like someone you know.Hidden Killers presents Part One of The Shape of Him — a five-part psychological series on Bryan Kohberger that doesn't retell the case. It asks the questions the case raises that nobody else is sitting with. What does it mean when someone can see exactly what is wrong with them — name it, study it, write about it — and still not stop what's coming? There's a documented difference between insight and integration. Between understanding yourself and changing. Between seeing clearly and living differently. Kohberger's written record suggests he had an unusual capacity for the first. Very little of the second, if prosecutors are right about what allegedly happened next. This episode is for anyone who has ever loved someone who understood themselves perfectly and could not seem to become anything different. Who explained their damage with sophistication and rebuilt it anyway. Who wrote their own darkness down and kept moving forward as though the writing was enough. Most of the time, it is. The question Kohberger's case forces us to ask is what happens when it isn't — and what that means for how much faith we place in self-awareness as a solution.Honest, psychological, and built for a true crime audience that wants more than a timeline. E23 - For today's amuse douche: a savory sample of our favorite Harvard Law professor's extremely normal 2015 explanation of his appearances in Jeffrey Epstein's flight logs.
