Clancy was broadcasting her deterioration for months before the killings — to her doctors, to people in her community, to a suicide hotline. That's what the prosecution's own final witness acknowledged under cross-examination on August 26.Saathoff confirmed that Clancy had been openly reporting intrusive thoughts, dark thoughts, suicidal thoughts, and homicidal ideation to people around her. She called a crisis line and reported suicidal ideation. The hotline determined she had no specific plan and was not hospitalized. The system heard her. What happened on January 24, 2023 happened anyway.Earlier, Saathoff gave the prosecution the clinical testimony it needed — Clancy acted deliberately, moved through the sequence without direction, and was in control. Then Reddington read the prosecution's opening statement aloud and asked if Saathoff agreed with it. The FBI psychiatrist told the jury the prosecution's own characterization of Clancy as selfish and manipulative "really minimizes what she was going through." Testimony is over. Closing arguments Thursday. The verdict slip now carries four options — including manslaughter, which the prosecution opposed.END_LINKSListen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Meantime, Trump shows why it is so important that ABC and Walt Disney fight back, as he threatens yet another billion-dollar defamation suit, this time against a think tank that published a report finding his National Guard deployments didn't actually reduce violent crime. In Part Two of his "How to Win 2026" series, Newt makes the case against today's Democratic Party — in their own words. This is the most substantive episode in the series — a methodical, documented case that today's Democratic Party has drifted far from the tradition of Roosevelt and Kennedy into something most Americans simply don't recognize. Using real names, real quotes, real dates, and actual congressional roll calls, Newt builds the argument across eight acts: Democrats calling to abolish ICE and defund the police; open hostility to Israel; a DSA national co-chair calling for abolishing the U.S. Senate on Fox News; candidates who denigrate America on tape; a coalition that rejects free enterprise while a government-run grocery store in Kansas City already proved the model fails; and a brand-new congressional report naming sitting Democrats in what prosecutors call the largest pandemic fraud scheme in American history.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Nearly thirty years after Tupac Shakur was shot on a Las Vegas street, Duane “Keffe D” Davis is on trial for murder. In this episode, I walk through the prosecution's retaliation theory, the defense claim that Davis turned fiction into a profitable public persona, and the most important testimony from the first week. We will look at the MGM Grand fight, the white Cadillac, Davis's protected 2008 interview, his later public interviews and memoir, the medical evidence, the witnesses who still do not want to talk, and the holes created by three decades without a gun, a car or testimony from the other men prosecutors say were inside that Cadillac. I will also identify the exact portions of the opening statements that are worth watching and explain what each side needs the jury to believe. "We did the other one." Five words Keffe D Davis offered voluntarily to an LAPD detective who was investigating a completely different murder. Daryn Dupree was working the Biggie Smalls homicide case when Davis told him that remark. Dupree testified on Day 3 of the murder trial that "the only other one was Tupac." Nobody asked Davis about Tupac. He brought it up himself. Before Dupree took the stand, the jury heard from Wade Lee, a former FBI agent who investigated Davis for drug trafficking in the late 1990s. Lee conducted a proffer interview with Davis in 1998, just two years after Tupac Shakur was shot and killed on the Las Vegas Strip. Davis was identified as a person of interest in the murder. The prosecution clarified a critical distinction on Day 3: Davis's proffer carried no immunity. Nothing he said in that room with federal agents was legally protected.Lee testified there was no proof Davis ordered a hit and that the FBI never independently verified Davis was in Las Vegas the night Tupac was shot. The jury submitted questions about what the FBI did with Davis's statements and why the case took twenty-seven years to reach a courtroom.Davis had served prison time on drug charges. Two law enforcement officers, from two separate agencies, heard Davis discuss Tupac's murder across different decades.Cross-examination of Dupree began at 3:43 p.m. and will continue when court resumes.END LINKSListen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Duane "Keffe D" Davis walked into a Clark County courtroom Monday in a blue suit and tie, scanned the audience, and sat down next to his attorney. Thirty years after the most famous unsolved murder in American music, someone was finally sitting in front of a jury. One juror told the court during selection that she'd never heard of Tupac Shakur.Davis is the first person ever charged in the killing of Tupac Shakur. The case had been cold for nearly three decades before Davis's own memoir provided the probable cause for his arrest in September 2023. The charges are murder with a deadly weapon and a gang enhancement.Chief Deputy District Attorney Binu Palal opened Monday by showing the jury security camera footage from the MGM Grand on September 7, 1996. Shakur and several Death Row Records associates attacked Davis's nephew Orlando Anderson in the casino lobby after a Mike Tyson fight. Two and a half hours later, Shakur was shot four times from a white Cadillac at a stoplight on Flamingo Road. He died six days later at twenty-five years old.The prosecution's case rests on Davis's own words. He described the shooting in a 2008 police interview under immunity. He appeared in a BET documentary. He described it on podcasts and in magazine interviews. Then he published a memoir called Compton Street Legend, put his name on the cover, and identified himself as the shot caller.Defense attorney Michael Sanft told the jury Davis wrote the book for one reason: money. The story would sell whether it was true or not. In March 2025, from a jail cell, Davis told reporters he was innocent and wasn't even in Las Vegas that night. No murder weapon was recovered. The white Cadillac was never found. All three other men from that car are dead. Davis is sixty-three and faces mandatory life without parole. The prosecution asks a jury to convict on a man's own words. The defense asks that same jury to believe he lied for thirty years because it paid.END LINKSListen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Nearly 30 years after Tupac Shakur was fatally shot in Las Vegas, the trial of Duane "Keffe D" Davis is underway. Prosecutors opened the case by telling jurors that Davis helped plan the attack and that some of the most important evidence will come from Davis himself — including years of interviews, statements to investigators, and his memoir. Davis has pleaded not guilty. His defense argues that prosecutors are treating stories and exaggerations as fact and says there is not enough independent evidence to corroborate Davis' claims. Crime Talk breaks down the opening statements, the prosecution's theory, the defense strategy, the evidence surrounding Keffe D's own words, and what jurors heard as testimony began in one of the most closely watched criminal cases in decades. HaRav Levi Yitzchak Schneerson spent his final years in exile in Kazakhstan, banished there by the Soviets for his work strengthening Jewish life across the Soviet Union. Soon after arriving there in 1940, he wrote a brief account of his imprisonment. It reads like no ordinary memoir: each line is a kabbalistic commentary on his own life, shaped by a deep belief in personal divine providence. Gathering to honor his yahrzeit on the twentieth of Av, we studied this account and worked to unpack its esoteric terms. It isn't the easiest material to understand, but it does paint a vivid picture of this special leader and his worldview. Why Bryan Kohberger's Own Words Might Sink His Petition

Dark Side of Wikipedia | True Crime & Dark History

Why Bryan Kohberger's own words might sink the petition he just filed comes down to one moment: a judge asked him, under oath, if he was pleading guilty because he was guilty, and he said yes. Thirteen months after that plea, representing himself, Kohberger filed a handwritten petition for post-conviction relief in Ada County District Court. He told the New York Times his actual innocence is his truth and called investigators' account of the case a work of fiction. Before the filing reached anyone official, he called a reporter from a prison phone, and what came out of that call left the families of Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin dealing with a scenario they were promised in writing would never reach them. The petition claims ineffective assistance of counsel, undisclosed evidence, and a distorted picture of what death row and a life sentence would actually look like, with threats and false promises blamed for the confession itself. He's also said he'd welcome the death penalty being sought again if this reaches trial. There's a procedural wrinkle most coverage has missed: the appeal waiver he signed never closed the door on challenging whether the plea itself was valid, and that's the entire premise of this filing. The Goncalves family answered within hours, taking the petition apart in detail. There was never a trial, never a cross-examination, and no motive on the record. We go through what he filed and the sentence working against him. None of it is decided yet. A judge in Ada County has the next word. Links Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Todd examines the Democratic Socialists of America's stated agenda and argues that its growing appeal should alarm Americans who value constitutional government, free markets, and individual liberty. He responds to a Fox News interview in which a DSA co-chair endorsed abolishing the Senate, presidency, Supreme Court, ICE, borders, and much of the prison system, while also supporting public ownership of major corporations and major cuts to the Pentagon. Todd pairs those positions with polling he says shows a rising favorable view of socialism among Democrats, then explains why he believes many supporters do not understand socialism's history or practical consequences. Drawing on Winston Churchill and Milton Friedman, he makes the conservative case that government redistribution relies on force, rewards envy, discourages production, and cannot match the coordination of voluntary markets. The episode also considers America's exceptional opportunity and standard of living, President Trump's joke about CNN's Kaitlan Collins at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, CNN's response, and Sophie Cunningham's comments about protecting women's sports.

"If the law is on your side, pound the law. If the facts are on your side, pound the facts. If neither are on your side, pound the table." You're going to hear a lot of table pounding in this episode out of Branch 70.I want you to think about something as you listen to this episode. What are the damages? The Branch 70 president compared Rivera's sharing of an election appeal to "yelling 'fire' in a crowded theater." The reason such speech is not protected is because of the obvious harm: loss of revenue, people get trampled, people can get killed. Compare that to the harm Branch 70 has suffered because people who read the appeal might have thought there was only supposed to be one microphone for nominations.4.5 years of suspensions, for a harm that Branch 70 doesn't even articulate.

This week on Truth to Power, we bring you a community conversation from the Aspen Ideas Festival in recognition of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the formation of the United States of America. The program called "America in Her Own Words" was organized by Theater of War Productions, which was honored to return to the Aspen Ideas Festival last week to present this year's closing session to help celebrate and interrogate the 250th anniversary of the United States. Actors David Strathairn (Goodnight and Good Luck, Lincoln), Michael Potts (The Wire, True Detective), and Kathleen Chalfant (Familiar Touch, The Affair) performed excerpts from Fourth of July speeches by Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass, and Susan B. Anthony to catalyze a guided audience discussion about how reckoning and repair are fundamental to the promise and process of American democracy. The texts included sections from “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?” delivered by Frederick Douglass at an Independence Day celebration in Rochester, New York on July 5, 1852; “The Electric Cord Speech” delivered by Abraham Lincoln from the balcony of Tremont House in Chicago, Illinois on July 10, 1858; and the “Declaration of Rights of the Women of the United States” written by Matilda Joslyn Gage, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and Susan B. Anthony and read by Anthony on July 4, 1876 at Independence Hall in Philadelphia during the Centennial Celebration. Following the readings, thoughts were shared by panelists Abayomi Lewis (Singer; Poet; “American Idol” Contestant), Chuck Sams (Director, Indigenous Programs, Yale Center for Environmental Justice; Former Director, U.S. National Park Service), and Jeh Johnson (Former U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security; Chair, Board of Trustees, Columbia University). They candidly responded to these speeches and kicked off a powerful discussion with the audience. This is the other side of the story. Branch 70 prepared a reply to Michael Rivera, and I am going to read every word of it and discuss it with Michael Brasaemle. This is part one of two. While listening, bear in mind the two statements, written within an election appeal and shown to be false, that have caused all this trouble. To summarize, one is that the Branch President didn't relinquish his microphone to accept his nomination. The other is that there was going to be one microphone for nominations, but there wound up being three.Again, both of those allegations wound up being false.Think about the harm those statements caused to the branch in general, and specifically to the members of the election committee. Financial harm? Emotional distress? Loss of work?Or did nobody care, because they're insignificant accusations. The Branch makes its case for why Michael Rivera deserves an 18 month suspension for those two statements. Listen and decide for yourself.

"The Biblical teaching of Unitarianism (One God) versus the teaching of Trinitarianism (3 gods) is outlined. The word "trinity" or related words are not found in the Bible. This teaching only surfaced around AD 350-381. The Bible affirms monotheism not polytheism."Inspiring, What if the most widely held belief about God isn't actually found in the Bible? In this thought-provoking and deeply insightful exposition, we embark on a journey through Scripture to examine the foundations of Trinitarianism versus the Biblical Unitarian position. This is not an attack on sincere believers, but a heartfelt and respectful exploration of what the Bible actually teaches about the Father and His Son.This outstanding presentation moves beyond simple proof-texting to reveal the historical development of the Trinity, the philosophical challenges it presents, and the wonderful, plain reading of Scripture that points to one God, the Father, and one Lord Jesus Christ, His exalted Son. We delve into the concept of divine agency, the personification of wisdom, and the revealing truth of what the early church truly believed. If you have ever wondered why the word "Trinity" isn't in the Bible, or how a plain reading of Acts 2 or 1 Corinthians 15 shapes our understanding of who Jesus is, this video is for you. One woman stated plainly, “I never would have met Jeffrey Epstein if not for you,” holding Maxwell personally responsible for the years of abuse that followed. Before the arrest. Before the charges. Before Celeste Rivas Hernandez's name entered the conversation. D4VD sat in front of cameras and told the world exactly who he was — and everybody heard a success story. He said he lived “vicariously through other people.” He said he'd never experienced the feelings in his own music. He said he invented emotional scenarios and performed them so convincingly that millions believed they were real. He grew up homeschooled, recorded in a closet, and went from total isolation to billion-stream fame without ever learning how to navigate human connection outside of a screen. Those aren't accusations. Those are things David Anthony Burke told interviewers voluntarily, in his own voice, before anyone was investigating anything. This episode uses Burke's own publicly available words — alongside the prosecution's People's Brief — to trace the psychology that allegedly enabled what prosecutors describe: a year-long alleged double life, an alleged infrastructure of secrecy, and an alleged forty-eight-hour window after Celeste was allegedly killed during which Burke reportedly sat for a podcast interview, released an album, and attended a party. We examine the welfare check where law enforcement told Burke that Celeste was thirteen, the yearbook photo he allegedly had on his phone when they said it, and what prosecutors say he did next — allegedly paying a classmate a thousand dollars to smuggle a secret phone to her after her parents took hers away. His biggest song is “Romantic Homicide.” His album is Withered. His music video shows a body going into a trunk. According to prosecutors, the art was allegedly running parallel to reality the entire time.Burke has pleaded not guilty to all charges and maintains his innocence.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Gary Dorrien is spending six weeks teaching the history of Christian social ethics in America — and this week Aaron and I turned the lens on Gary himself, which he immediately identified as the worst session of the class. What followed was an hour of Gary tracing his own formation from a kid on Union Road in Midland who couldn't stop staring at the crucifix, through graduate school, liberation theology, democratic socialism, and fifty years of theological labor held together by Rauschenbusch's conviction that capitalism has overdeveloped our selfish instincts and shrunk our capacity for public ends. On Monday's Mark Levin Show, President Trump is calling the shots in the Iran war. He acts in U.S. interests by viewing a nuclear Iran as a grave threat, and maintains a close alliance with Israel through military, intelligence, and personal ties with Benjamin Netanyahu. He's not secretly controlled by the Israelis or an Israel lobby as Joe Kent and Tucker Carlson suggest. A recent CBS poll shows strong support among Republicans for the war in Iran, with 92% of MAGA supporting Trump's position on the issue.  Also, several Arab states, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia, openly desire the destruction of Iran's regime and support regime change, a point rarely discussed, especially by critics of Israel. Since Trump launched the actions against Iran, combined U.S. and Israeli strikes have inflicted massive damage on Iran's extensive military infrastructure, which has led to a more peaceful Middle East. Later, Sheridan Gorman, an 18-year-old college student, was allegedly murdered by an illegal immigrant. A life senselessly ended by someone not supposed to be in the country all because of sanctuary cites and Democrat policies.  Finally, Joe Kent calls in to explain his resignation from the Director of the National Counterterrorism Center.
