Join VBC LIVE on Thursday, May 7 at 7PM (ET) for a conversation with World War II Marine veteran Neal McCallum, who fought in the Battle of Okinawa 81 years ago. At just 18 years old, McCallum landed on Okinawa with Fox Company, 29th Marine Regiment, 6th Marine Division, part of the massive U.S. invasion force that stormed the island on Easter Sunday April 1, 1945y. He served as an infantryman in a mortar section and fought through some of the fiercest combat of the war, including the deadly struggle for Sugar Loaf Hill, where Marines suffered staggering losses. On May 19, 1945, McCallum was seriously wounded by enemy fire, just one day after his close friend was killed in action. The Battle of Okinawa was the largest amphibious assault in the Pacific Theater and one of the bloodiest. The battle raged over 82 days. Whenit was over, more 12,000 Americans were dead and another 37,000 wounded. Japanese casualties were many times that number. And, perhaps most tragic, 100,000–200,000 Okinawan civilians were dead. Fought across ridges, caves, and fortified positions, Okinawa became a war of attrition with kamikaze attacks. The scale of the destruction gave a U.S. forces a yardstick for estimating the cost of invading mainland Japan. This Easter season, we continue to rejoice! Jesus continues to be the light in our lives. Let's learn more about why.
Christ Is Risen... There is Hope for Us All!1 Corinthians 15:1-7, 12-26, 32, 54-58 | Easter Sunday | King's Chapel Live StreamThe resurrection of Jesus is not just a moment in history. It changes everything. In 1 Corinthians 15, we are reminded that if Christ has not been raised, our faith is empty and our hope is lost. But Christ has been raised. And because He lives, hope is not just possible. It is certain. This Easter message looks at what the resurrection means for every part of life.Because Christ is risen, there is hope for our salvation. Our sin has been paid for, death has been defeated, and our future is secure. What once separated us from God has been overcome through the victory of Jesus.Because Christ is risen, there is hope for history. This world is not random or without direction. History has a King, a purpose, and a destination. God is at work, bringing everything together under the rule and reign of Christ.Because Christ is risen, there is hope for creation. Even though the world still feels broken, the story is not finished. The curse will not last forever. God has promised a new creation where all things are made right. The resurrection means that hope is not wishful thinking. It is anchored in a living Savior. If you are searching for hope, meaning, or something that lasts, this message points to the empty tomb and the risen Christ who makes all things new.Connect with King's Chapel in Longwood, FL - ▶️ www.kingschapelfl.com▶️ https://www.facebook.com/KingsChapelfl▶️ https://www.instagram.com/kingschapelfl/For the GLORY of our Great GodFor the GOOD of our NeighborEaster sermon, 1 Corinthians 15 resurrection, Christ is risen message, hope in Jesus sermon, King's Chapel Longwood FL, resurrection of Jesus explained, Easter Bible teaching, victory over death sermon, new creation hope

Resurrection Sunday! We come to the ultimate victory, Jesus defeats death. He undoes what sin did many years before. Jesus defeats sin and death by resurrecting in a Garden which is the same type of setting where Adam lost the battle. Through the resurrection, Jesus makes "All things new," and that newness affects every pocket and compartment of our lives.———————————————————————————————If you'd like this message's notes, click the link here!
Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026 9:00 a.m. - Rev. Dr. Edwin Estevez by Kirk in the Hills
It's Easter Sunday. I'll start off by talking about how it's very early in the morning. It's the in-between time - the time when one thing has come to an end but the next thing hasn't fully begun. They bring spices to anoint the body, because that's what you do. This is where we're breaking down their relationship with Jesus: what he meant, what they had hoped he'd be. But his life was cut short. The angels show up and this is super confusing for the women who came to the tomb. So here let's dwell on the question they ask: why do you look for the living among the dead? Why do we look for hope in places that were never meant to sustain us? Why do we look for life in places that can't give it? They run and tell the other disciples and it sounds like nonsense to them. Of course it does. It does to us, too. Then Peter runs back, looks in the tomb and sees the linens lying there. And he, too, leaves "wondering." Perplexed. The story begins with wondering and confusion and it ends there too. It's still early in the morning, when something has ended but the next thing has yet to begin. Maybe that's where this story meets us. Maybe we're in the confusing time, too. It might be confusing now, we might be perplexed now, we might be living in a time where one thing is ending and the new one hasn't begun yet. That's okay, because a new world is coming where justice, righteousness, equality, and peace rule the day and darkness is no more. Let's just keep doing our best to help make that happen. Your kingdom come. Your will be done. On earth as it is in heaven. Speaker: Aaron Vis Scripture: Luke 24:1-12 http://bible.com/events/49590557
Pastor Jimmy reminds us that even if we are in a season of loss and in between, there is hope in the resurrected Christ.

EASTER SUNDAY | April 5, 2026Pastor Wes MorrisJohn 20:11-18 (NLT) Mary was standing outside the tomb crying, and as she wept, she stooped and looked in. She saw two white-robed angels, one sitting at the head and the other at the foot of the place where the body of Jesus had been lying. “Dear woman, why are you crying?” the angels asked her.“Because they have taken away my Lord,” she replied, “and I don't know where they have put him.”She turned to leave and saw someone standing there. It was Jesus, but she didn't recognize him. “Dear woman, why are you crying?” Jesus asked her. “Who are you looking for?”She thought he was the gardener. “Sir,” she said, “if you have taken him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will go and get him.”“Mary!” Jesus said. She turned to him and cried out, “Rabboni!” (which is Hebrew for “Teacher”). “Don't cling to me,” Jesus said, “for I haven't yet ascended to the Father. But go find my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'”Mary Magdalene found the disciples and told them, “I have seen the Lord!” Then she gave them his message. One encounter with Jesus can change the direction of your entire life.√ YOU CAN BE CLOSE TO JESUS AND STILL MISS HIM.John 20:14 (NLT) She turned to leave and saw someone standing there. It was Jesus, but she didn't recognize him.√ WE KEEP LOOKING FOR LIFE IN PLACES MARKED BY DEATH.Luke 24:2-5 (NLT) They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. So they went in, but they didn't find the body of the Lord Jesus. As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes. The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? √ JESUS KNOWS HOW TO MEET YOU RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE.John 20:16 (NIV) Jesus said to her, “Mary.” Isaiah 41:1-3 (MSG) But now, God's Message: “Don't be afraid, I've redeemed you. I've called your name. You're mine. When you're in over your head, I'll be there with you. When you're in rough waters, you will not go down. When you're between a rock and a hard place, it won't be a dead end - Because I am God, your personal God.”FACE TO FACE WITH JESUSI. LET JESUS CHANGE THE WAY YOU SEE HIM.Ephesians 1:17-18 (TLB) I have never stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you wisdom to see clearly and really understand who Christ is and all that he has done for you.II. RECEIVE THE LIFE ONLY JESUS CAN GIVE.Ephesians 2:4-5 (TLB) God is so rich in mercy; he loved us so much that even though we were spiritually dead and doomed by our sins, he gave us back our lives again when he raised Christ from the dead.

"The Resurrection Will Not Be Televised" Rev. Dr. Joe Evans, Senior Pastor Easter Sunday 2026 (11:00am Service)
By Adam Young
This Easter celebration takes us beyond the historical event of resurrection to explore what it means for our everyday lives right now. At the heart of this message is a powerful question: what does Jesus rising from the dead actually mean for us today, tomorrow, and six months from now? We're invited to discover four life-changing realities that flow directly from the resurrection. First, we find hope—not as a disappointing fantasy, but as a confident expectation anchored in what Jesus accomplished. When Abraham faced an impossible situation at 90 years old with a promise that seemed absurd, he believed 'against hope, in hope.' That same resurrection power that rolled away the stone can roll away whatever seems impossible in our lives. Second, we discover peace—not as the absence of problems, but as the presence of Jesus at the center of our attention. Like the disciples in the storm, we learn that peace doesn't come from calm circumstances but from the One who can speak 'peace, be still' into any chaos. Third, we receive forgiveness—not as a one-time event but as lifetime access to a forgiving God. The woman caught in adultery reminds us that the only One qualified to condemn us chooses instead to say, 'I don't condemn you either.' Finally, we experience love—the kind that proved itself by dying for us while we were still lost and ungodly. The prodigal son's father shows us that we don't have to re-earn our place; love keeps the door open and welcomes us home exactly as we are. These aren't abstract theological concepts—they're daily realities we can carry with us when life gets messy. #RelevantChurch #PastorChrisSarno #GoodFriday #Easter #EasteratRelevant #Easter2026 #OnlineChurch #RelevantChurchDaytonaBeach #Church #ChurchOnline -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ways to Give: Text to Give: Text your amount to 888-364-4483 Online Giving: Visit our website http://www.relevantfl.org/giving to give via debit, credit, or ACH Mail It In: Send gift Via USPS to 920 Beville Rd. At All Saints we give thanks to the Wahpekute (Wah-peh-kue-teh) Dakota, the first people of this land.
