    In light of this month of May being mental health awareness month and most of us still in lockdown mode due to COVID-19, it seemed like a good opportunity to talk about a major and heart breaking social issue that bugs. Battered Person Syndrome or Battered Woman Syndrome, is a psychological condition that can develop when a person experiences physical or verbal abuse, usually at the hands of an intimate partner.This form of abuse can affect people of any gender, age, social class, or education. People who find themselves in an abusive relationship often do not feel safe or happy. However, they may feel unable to leave for many reasons. These include fear and a belief that they are the cause of the abuse.This form of abuse is described as a subtype of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Some suicides are impulsive acts due to stress, such as from financial difficulties, relationship problems such as breakups, or bullying.Suicide is a desperate attempt to escape suffering that has become unbearable. To those who are not in the grips of suicidal depression and despair, it's difficult to understand what drives millions of individuals to take their own life every year. Blinded by feelings of self-loathing, hopelessness, and isolation, a suicidal person can't see any way of finding relief except through death.
