Let's talk about… how $1 gas station sushi may not be the vibe. That time I met God while fighting for my life in the bathroom at 14. How Off Campus made me realise I've been wearing the wrong bra size for 2 years. Then we get into Euphoria. What life lesson is Sam Levinson trying to teach us exactly? Don't get buried alive? Don't trust girls with n*zi tattoos? nice toes and a jacuzzi will get you a last minute $1M dollar loan??? Then we debate if stripping is realistically the next step for half the Euphoria cast, if Maddie is a good friend or the town's fool, THE END of Nate Jacobs, and 5 fun facts about surviving a venomous snake's bite. Not kidding about the random venomous snake facts... definitely listen because it could save your life. Nate goes underground, Rue goes undercover, and Cassie goes under the covers! In this episode of Previously On, Jillian and her husband Tyler are breaking down Euphoria Season 3 Episode 7 “Rain or Shine,” (an all-timer!) the penultimate episode that finally delivered one of the season's biggest shocks and left us with approximately one million new questions. From Nate Jacobs' (Jacob Elordi) long-foreshadowed death (and whether it actually felt satisfying), to Rue (Zendaya) getting deeper into dangerous territory, to Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Maddy (Alexa Demie) turning into the most charismatic duo on television, this episode somehow managed to be heartbreaking, hilarious, stressful, and completely unhinged all at once. We're talking betrayal, bad decisions, sex scandals, secret safes, Western shootout energy, and why Lexi (Maude Apatow) might secretly be speaking for the entire audience this season.Plus, we're ranking our Top 5 Betrayal Triangles of the episode, including Rue vs. literally everyone, Cassie and Maddy's Hollywood revenge plot, Alamo's secret in the safe, and whether Sam Levinson (or scheduling) betrayed Nate Jacobs' storyline this season.00:00:00 Reenactment Maddy calls Lexi00:02:45 Nate Jacobs death00:06:45 Nate Jacobs craziest moments00:10:32 Nate Jacobs sexuality00:12:06 Should Nate have died earlier?00:14:32 Live on YouTube for finale00:16:04 "Rain or Shine" meaning00:18:16 S3 E7 "Rain or Shine" Recap00:19:24 Ali's backstory00:26:33 Tarantino of the week00:27:28 Did Maddy sleep with Alamo?00:29:49 Top 5 Betrayal Triangles00:30:17 Cassie/Maddy vs Dylan Reid vs Sharon Stone00:32:45 Gratuitous Sydney Sweeney Nudity of the Week00:38:22 Rue vs Lexi vs Maddy00:41:12 Alamo vs Maddy/Cassie vs Naz00:45:44 Rue vs Alamo/Laurie vs Faye/Wayne00:48:04 Undercover Informant Theory of the Week00:50:36 Rue's in trouble00:53:43 Gold Rush Medical00:55:45 Nate Jacobs vs Naz vs Sam Levinson/Jacob Elordi's schedule01:03:49 Nate Jacobs dead body01:05:58 Tyler's Takes01:06:33 Jules called Rue01:07:32 The Candy Snatchers (1973) buried alive01:08:47 Maddy's Virgin Mary dress01:09:31 Zendaya is good01:10:41 Should Euphoria be binged?01:12:02 Prediction of deathsThank you to Matt Buechele (@mattbooshell) for creating our new theme song. Barbie Ferreira saw her star skyrocket as an actor in extraordinary fashion in 2019 with the debut of the HBO series Euphoria. It quickly became one of the most talked-about shows on the air and, in turn, put an especially intense spotlight on the entire main ensemble, which also included Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi, just to name a few. It was a game-changer for just about everyone involved. About two and a half years later, the second season finally arrived. In most cases, that kind of wait between seasons could extinguish a show's momentum. Not Euphoria. Yet again, it closed the season as one of the most popular shows on television, and ultimately became an Outstanding Drama Series nominee at the 2022 Emmys. It remained at peak popularity. But, that's when Ferreira opted to exit.Just as Euphoria Season 3 kicks off, about four years after the Season 2 finale aired, Ferreira is in the midst of a one-two punch in the feature film realm. This weekend she celebrates the big debut of one of the most hotly anticipated genre sequels in recent years, a brand-new Faces of Death. Following in the footsteps of the infamous 1978 original, an especially nasty exploitation film that claimed to be made of far more real footage than it was, Ferreira headlines the 2026 edition as Margot. She works as a content moderator, pinpointing videos that cross the line and demand removal from a platform called Kino. That's where she comes across a video of a murder. But it has to be staged, right? That's what Margot suspects, but doubt creeps in when more videos from this particular user start to pour in.On top of that, Ferreira also has a wholly different movie hitting theaters on April 17, Mile End Kicks. In that one, she headlines as a music critic who moves to Montreal to focus on writing a book on Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill. However, after falling for a member of a local indie rock band, she overlooks the book in favor of getting closer to the band, in particular, its lead singer, Chevy (Stanley Simons). With her especially big month on the big screen now underway, Ferreira took the time to visit the Collider Ladies Night studio to discuss her early success as a model, scoring her role on Euphoria, and what it's been like carving a path in Hollywood that feels true to her since. In this episode, I preview what's ahead on Need Some Introduction—continuing recaps of Your Friends & Neighbors and Euphoria—while focusing on two shows: a solo breakdown of Apple TV+'s cult horror-comedy Widow's Bay and a conversation with my co-host Alan about The Boys series finale. I discuss the creative team behind Widow's Bay (including Hiro Murai, creator/showrunner Katie Dippold, and several episode writers/directors), then recap Episode 5: Reverend Bryce's death, the discovery of black mushrooms that “open” a third eye, Wick's guided mushroom experience, Tom's disorienting blackouts, the town's boogeyman mythology, and diary evidence of an old plague and a curse tied to a mysterious cylinder. The episode ends with Tom reliving his wife's ferry incident and an eerie presence seemingly answering his prayers, setting up next week's two-episode drop, including a black-and-white flashback directed by Ti West. In this episode, we continue our weekly recaps of the hit HBO original series Euphoria, starring Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney. Welcome back! This week the ladies dive into "The Drama", the uncomfortable, anxiety-inducing A24 film starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson. What starts as an awkward romantic drama about an engaged couple heading into their wedding week, quickly spirals into something much darker after a “worst thing you've ever done” conversation goes completely off the rails. Emma reveals a disturbing part of her teenage past, and that one confession detonates the relationship, the "friend"group, and the entire wedding weekend. We break down the film's tense atmosphere, uncomfortable chemistry, and the bigger conversations surrounding alienation, radical honesty, identity, and whether people should be permanently defined by their teenage years. We also discuss how the movie intentionally challenges audience expectations by centering a Black woman in a narrative typically associated with a very different demographic, and whether that changes the level of empathy viewers are willing to extend. If you watched this movie and immediately needed to unpack all of that emotional chaos with somebody, this episode is for you. Cheers!
Rue sees a sign from God and Cassie deletes her money maker!NOTE: To our loyal listeners, we're sorry that this episode is a day late and that Jillian's audio is a little wonky. We had a few technical issues recording on the road this week, but we did our best. We'll be back home next week and everything will look and sound normal again. Thanks for still listening! In this episode of Previously On, Jillian and her husband Tyler are breaking down Euphoria Season 3 Episode 6, “Stand Still and See” on vacation in Hawaii. From Rue's increasingly complicated relationship with faith, redemption, and Alamo's dangerous world, to Cassie accidentally stumbling into stardom on the set of LA Nights, this episode feels like the calm before what could be an absolutely unhinged storm in the final episodes. We get into Alamo's questionable backstory, the show's growing religious symbolism (Exodus, the burning bush, and Rue's search for salvation), and whether Euphoria Season 3 is building toward something much bigger than we originally thought. Plus Rue and Jules continue to break our hearts, Nate somehow gets beaten up AGAIN, and Cassie makes a career move that could change everything. And because this episode had us questioning everyone's choices, we're counting down our Top 5 “Are You Sure This Is God's Plan?” Moments including Rue's wild future vision, Cassie thanking God for questionable life decisions, and characters making unholy choices. We also get Tyler's Tarantino of the Week, we spiral about fan theories, discuss whether anyone is actually dying this season, and attempt to predict where Euphoria is heading before the final two episodes.00:00:00 Reenactment Cassie's LA Nights "improv"00:02:19 Sex symbols Sharon Stone and Colleen Camp00:03:12 Honeymoon00:05:29 Intro to pod00:05:48 Jules and Rue scenes00:10:23 Recap S3 E6 "Stand Still and See"00:14:46 "Stand Still and See" Review & Alamo backstory00:23:26 Internet hating on Euphoria00:25:57 Tarantino of the week00:27:48 Nika King as Rue's mom Leslie00:30:10 Top 5 Are you SURE this is God's plan?00:31:13 Alamo's lesson from mom's con00:34:32 Rue wants kids with Jules00:39:39 Flowers ruined Nate's life00:41:56 Cassie gets role and deletes OF00:43:17 Meta character deaths convo00:47:19 Rue sees a sign from God00:50:28 Flood and sea00:53:14 Tyler's Takes00:53:37 Black Gunn (1972)00:54:58 Black cowboys00:56:15 Faye00:57:40 Fez00:58:57 Gold Rush Medical plastic surgery00:59:25 Cassie tells stories with body01:02:54 Dead rat01:03:53 Bishop Thank you to Matt Buechele (@mattbooshell) for creating our new theme song. In this episode, we tackle all the major twists from Episode 6, including:Alamo's Origin: The 1970s flashback that explains his deep-seated trust issues and hostility.Rue's High Wire Act: Getting Faye on board, running a wire for the DEA, and a spontaneous burning bush that changes everything. The Rift: The brutal blowout between Rue and Jules after Rue pitches her version of a "boring" life.Cassie & Nate: Cassie tries to clean up her digital footprint for a Hollywood break, while Nate hits rock bottom—leading to a grotesque cliffhanger.
Julia reacts to and dissects season 3 episode 6 of 'Euphoria,' "Stand Still and See." Join this weekly discussion as Julia unpacks Nate's mandatory 2 minutes of human punching bag screen time, Jules reading Rue and Rue reading Jules right back, Cassie only possessing the ability to be real in fictional situations, Lexi's inability to appreciate the good right in front of her, and Maddy's official joining of her peers in Loserdom, population (most of the) Euphoria High Class of 2019. Double check with your mom that she is not in the midst of conning you, then sit back down, press play, and ENJOY!Ep. Recorded on May 19, 2026.Cover Art by Lizzie Benjamin 2026.Follow along! Darren and I discuss Euphoria's episode “Stand Still and See,” plus a few other shows and recent horror releases. We start with weather chatter and quick TV updates, including the latest Margot Has Many Trouble episode (Child Services investigation, custody threats, Nick Offerman and Greg Kinnear moments) and a recommendation for the horror film Obsession (from a YouTube filmmaker who made Milk and Cereal), along with Hokum and upcoming genre releases like Backrooms. We then break down Euphoria: Alamo's vivid, effective childhood prologue and how it frames his misogyny; Rue's heavy religious iconography (burning bush/Moses reference) and her church phone call with her mom; the DEA/Laurie/Alamo plot tightening around an ambulance-smuggling “one more run”; Cassie's funny, triggered audition improvisation and deleting her OnlyFans; Maddy's strip-club photo set and unease about Alamo; frustration with sidelined Nate and an unconvincing Rue/Jules romance. We speculate about the unusually long finale and want a Bishop backstory segment. Join us this week as our hosts J and Z have a John Bernthal double feature with FX's "Gary" (0:00:00) and Marvel's "Punisher: One Last Kill" (0:38:15). The guys continue their attempt to parse through the poor writing the penultimate episode of Amazon's "The Boys" (1:08:13) and episode five of HBO's "Euphoria" (1:37:28).
That's So Euphoric - 2 Drunk Millennials' Guide to HBO's Euphoria
As tensions rise in Euphoria Season 3 and stakes escalate, snakes and rats abound. The burning bush lights a blood soaked path through the dark toward redemption but whose blood is it? Will Rue make it to the promised land or perish in the desert? Then again, some Rastafari believe that the burning bush was cannabis so maybe she's just tripping. ..Euphoria Season 3 just keeps getting better and better. We were absolutely BLOWN away by Sam Levinson's work in this week's Euphoria Episode 6 "Stand Still and See". Listen here as we discuss Zendaya's masterful acting, Cassie's mental breakdown in LA Nights, Alamo's backstory, Nate's lackluster clown vibes and so much more! Editors - Laura Zempel, ACE and Lauren Connelly, ACE Although BEEF - Season 2 editors Laura Zempel and Lauren Connelly are working together for the first time, this is Laura's second season working on the series. But despite being new to one another, Laura's and Lauren's talents seamlessly combined to tackle a complex, character-driven "slow burn" with multiple storylines that required a delicate balancing of tone, including both dark comedy and psychological drama. Created by Korean director Lee Sung Jin (Sonny Lee) for Netflix, Season 2 of BEEF stars Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan as Joshua Martin and Lindsay Crane-Martin, and Cailee Spaeny and Charles Melton as Ashley and Austin, two couples; the poor latter two blackmailing the rich former two, using footage Ashley shot of a heated argument which would threaten their image. Similar to Season 1, this incident escalates into a prolonged feud and a game of cat-and-mouse...minus one dog. LAURA ZEMPEL In addition to her Emmy®-winning work on BEEF - Season 1, Laura's skills as an editor can be seen in another Netflix series, SIRENS (2025). She has also worked on EUPHORIA (2019-22), DISPATCHES FROM ELSEWHERE (2020) and ROOM 104 (2017-19). Prior to that, she assisted on HOUSE OF CARDS (2014), DEXTER (2011-13) and IF I CAN DREAM (2010). LAUREN CONNELLY, ACE Originally from Chantilly, Virginia, Lauren graduated from The University of Southern California with a B.A. in Cinema-Television Production. Past credits include television shows such as MO on Netflix, GASLIT on Starz, MASTERS OF SEX on Showtime, THE STRAIN on FX, and THE SON on AMC. Recent feature films include SITTING IN BARS WITH CAKE for Amazon Studios, A TOURIST'S GUIDE TO LOVE on Netflix, and Rodrigo Garcia's FOUR GOOD DAYS, which premiered at Sundance.
