Host Dan Rubottom interviews fellow filmmaker and live streaming expert, Brandon Smith, about his background and discussing tips and best practices for streaming and video production. Don't know where to begin with streaming for your church or business? We offer some practical tips and ideas to consider including cameras, sound, lighting, encoders for both the beginner and advanced. Dan designed the TV broadcast truck for Hope City in Houston (with integration by Ray Givens and LD Systems) - while co-leading with his wife, Raven, the team of 60 'Dream Team' volunteers for 2 years, helping facilitate Hope City's growth into the multi-site, 'fastest growing church in America' - all without the convenience of a permanent building. Avoiding the typical path of using interlaced 60i broadcast cameras, Dan chose Panasonic Varicam LT Super35 24p cameras to give the stream a more cinematic look - unheard of at the time - starting a trend with other churches across the nation to embrace the same cameras. See the Panasonic press release here. With thirty years of experience in film and television, Dan is sought-after extensively for his creative and technical skills in producing, directing, cinematography, editing, motion graphics, visual effects, color grading and consulting for live broadcast systems. He has directed, shot and edited award-winning episodic television, documentaries, commercials, short films and music videos on several with notables including Joel Osteen, Luis Palau, Rascal Flatts, John Gray, Toby Mac, Carman, Integrity Music, Israel Houghton, Cindy Cruse Ratcliff, Marcos Witt, Eastman Curtis, John Hagee, Oral Roberts and Jeremy Foster. After completing 18 years at Joel Osteen Ministries as senior producer, directing and editing notable projects such as Beautiful Things and Horizon broadcast openers, Dan now runs Epiphany Creative Group with his lovely wife Raven, writing and producing feature film projects, doing creative consulting with internationally branded organizations and content-driven projects. He is the director of photography, editor and post supervisor on the feature film, Palau, shot in Argentina and slated for a fall 2018 theatrical release. He has several other feature films in development, including action/thriller The Chase, his first feature-length screenplay.Dan resides in Houston, Texas with his wife Raven where they have raised three beautiful girls.danrubottom.comwww.instagram.com/danrubottom/https://www.facebook.com/danrubottomdanrubottom@gmail.comhttps://www.imdb.com/name/nm3548149/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm Brandon Smithhttp://www.markbrandonsmith.comhttps://www.instagram.com/markbrandonsmith/https://www.facebook.com/markbrandonsmithBrandon@amarkproductions.com
