In week two of Life at the Speed of Prayer, Pastor Ken Olson called us deeper into a dependent, daily walk with God, reminding us that our lives will never rise above the level of our prayer life. Sharing stories from his childhood on the farm to encountering the Holy Spirit at a young age, Pastor Ken illustrated how consistent prayer transforms insecurities into strength and positions us to go from victory to victory. He emphasized that prayer is not a ritual but a revolutionary partnership with God, activating the Holy Spirit, releasing authority, and opening heaven's flow into our everyday lives.Drawing from the account of Moses holding up his staff in Exodus, he painted a powerful picture: when we lift our hands in prayer, ground is taken; when we neglect it, ground is lost. Pastor Ken urged us not to limit God through prayerlessness but to embrace our calling as a supernatural church in this prophetic hour, contending for our families, our church, and our nation. The invitation was clear: step out of distraction, step into the secret place, and become people who carry His presence, knowing that prayer always precedes momentum, revival, and lasting victory. Our Links–• Join The Prayer Movement!: https://theprayermovement.com• Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/livingwordmn• Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/livingwordmn• Stay up to date with all things LWCC at https://www.LWCC.org• Join our Online Church community here: https://www.lwcc.org/onlinechurch• Give online: https://www.lwcc.org/give/• If you recently committed your life to God, we'd like to give you a free eBook to help you in your spiritual journey. This Sunday, one of our senior pastors, Steve Campbell, will be talking about miracles and exorcisms in our series called An Honest Look at the Bible's 7 Toughest Topics.
Right now, there is a clarion call to the church and to this generation to pray! So said Pastor Ken in his message this past Sunday entitled, “Life at the Speed of Prayer.” This call to prayer is not for just a few “super-spiritual” people. This call to prayer is for all of us! You see, there's a lot going on in America and she's at a critical window of time. If we want to see America fulfill God's plan for her, then it's up to us to keep her on track through our prayers. Why prayer? Prayer activates the plan of God and sets us in motion, toward the direction of His purposes!Pastor Ken said, “Right now the signs of the church of America don't look the greatest. But guess what? I see signs on the landscape of things breaking loose, revival rising, and awakening spreading. The year 2026 is to be a year of movement and taking ground for God's kingdom. I challenge you right now, make a decision to go further in your prayer life than ever before!”Our Links–• Join The Prayer Movement!: https://theprayermovement.com• Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/livingwordmn• Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/livingwordmn• Stay up to date with all things LWCC at https://www.LWCC.org• Join our Online Church community here: https://www.lwcc.org/onlinechurch• Give online: https://www.lwcc.org/give/• If you recently committed your life to God, we'd like to give you a free eBook to help you in your spiritual journey. This past weekend, Pastor Mac gave the third installment of his teaching series entitled, “The Gatekeeper of Power.” Ephesians 1:19 says there is an exceeding greatness of power to usward who believe, yet many are frustrated they do not experience the power of God in their lives. They have yet to learn that their own minds are what controls the power of God flowing through their lives. However, the mind can be either a gateway for the power of God or a gateway for the deception of the enemy. To be a gatekeeper for the power of God to flow in your life, you must renew your mind to the Word of God. Pastor Mac used the Tower of Babel in Genesis chapter 11 to illustrate the power of the imagination. The people were determined to build a tower into the heavens and God said about them, “…nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do” (v. 6). God created the human brain with the ability to mentally image a future probability. That's the power of imagination. However, imagination can be used to bring evil into your life just as it can bring God's purpose and blessing into your life as well. So the question is, what are you imagining? Our Links–• Join The Prayer Movement!: https://theprayermovement.com• Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/livingwordmn• Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/livingwordmn• Stay up to date with all things LWCC at https://www.LWCC.org• Join our Online Church community here: https://www.lwcc.org/onlinechurch• Give online: https://www.lwcc.org/give/• If you recently committed your life to God, we'd like to give you a free eBook to help you in your spiritual journey. This weekend, Dr. Dennis Burke joined us as our guest minister and delivered a powerful, faith-building message declaring 2026 as “The Year of the Fix.” He challenged us to move beyond resolutions and step into revelation, actively shifting our mindset, reordering what's out of alignment, and using our God-given authority to speak His Word over every area of life. Through Scripture and personal testimony, Dr. Burke reminded us that lasting change comes when we anchor ourselves in truth, refuse to drift, and receive a fresh infusion of supernatural strength as God works from the inside out.Our Links–• Join The Prayer Movement!: https://theprayermovement.com• Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/livingwordmn• Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/livingwordmn• Stay up to date with all things LWCC at https://www.LWCC.org• Join our Online Church community here: https://www.lwcc.org/onlinechurch• Give online: https://www.lwcc.org/give/• If you recently committed your life to God, we'd like to give you a free eBook to help you in your spiritual journey. This weekend marked a sacred and historic moment for Living Word with the induction of Pastor Jim as Senior Pastor. Pastors Mac and Lynne shared from the heart, reflecting on decades of prayer, faith, and trust in God's call on their son's life, even in seasons when it seemed unlikely. They spoke of Pastor Jim's deep preparation, from serving in every area of ministry to his strong grounding in the Word and unwavering commitment to prayer. With the laying on of hands and powerful prophetic prayer from Pastors Mac and Lynne, the church formally recognized this God-ordained transition, celebrating a new day marked by continuity, spiritual authority, and great expectation for what lies ahead. Pastor Jim responded with humility and love: “I will most gladly spend myself and be utterly spent for the people of Living Word."Following this moment, Pastor Mac continued his series "The Gatekeeper of Power," reminding the church that while God's power is available to every believer, it is accessed through a renewed mind. Teaching from Scripture, he emphasized that our minds act as the gatekeeper, determining whether God's life-giving power or the enemy's deception has influence. By focusing on the unseen, eternal truths of God's Word rather than natural circumstances, believers learn to open the gate to resurrection power, walking more fully in the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. It was a fitting message for a day of transition: a call to steward both leadership and personal faith with intentional focus and spiritual clarity. Many are tired of online worship. What happened? When the pandemic forced churches online, digital worship seemed like the future. Congregations grew virtually, and pastors reached audiences they never imagined. But five years later, that momentum has faded. The church is discovering what technology can—and cannot—do for worship. On this episode, Thom and Sam explore why online engagement has declined and how churches can find balance between digital convenience and in-person community. The post Digital Worship Fatigue: Why Online Church Can't Replace the In-Person Gathering appeared first on Church Answers.
“The Gatekeeper of Power,” Pastor Mac Hammond reminded us that salvation is not just about heaven someday, but about experiencing God's life now. While the power of God, “the same power that raised Jesus from the dead,” is available to every believer, he emphasized that “there is a difference between having the power and applying the power.” Many live saved but never access what's already theirs because the fight of faith begins when you're believing something but not seeing the results. Pastor Mac made it clear that victory belongs to those who refuse to quit: “If you don't quit, you will win.” At the core of the message was this defining truth: “The gatekeeper of the power of God in the earth is the human mind.” When we become mindful of the things of God instead of the things of man, renew our thinking, and refuse to let contradictory circumstances wear us down, we open the gate for God's power to flow, bringing real change, real victory, and the God-kind of life into our everyday world. This past weekend, Pastor Jim taught from Romans 9, powerfully reminding us that God's promises to Israel are unwavering and that Israel remains central to His redemptive plan: past, present, and future, right through Christ's return. Drawing from Jesus' words in Matthew 23, he explained Israel's temporary national blindness to the Gospel, not rejection, and firmly emphasized that Israel has not been replaced, warning against replacement theology as both biblically inaccurate and historically dangerous. Pastor Jim also unpacked difficult passages like “Jacob I loved, but Esau I have hated,” showing that Paul highlights God's sovereign purpose and covenant faithfulness rooted in faith rather than works. The message concluded with the hope of the Gospel: where the law could only cover sin, Jesus came to remove it completely. Nearly five years after COVID-19 lockdowns, the research reveals surprising truths about how Americans engage with church online and what that means for pastors and ministry leaders. While 91% of churches now livestream services, only about 14% of Americans watch weekly. Most online viewers are also in-person attenders, meaning livestreams tend to serve already-committed believers rather than reaching the unchurched. The dream of a large “online-only” congregation just doesn't match the numbers. In this episode of the Burge Report, Ryan, Thom, and Sam give their key takeaways. The post The Burge Report: Who's Really Watching Online Church? appeared first on Church Answers.
In this timely and unflinching message, “Covenants That Cannot Be Canceled," Pastor Jim begins Romans 9 by addressing one of the most misunderstood and controversial topics in the Church today: God's covenant with Israel. As global tensions rise and antisemitism increases across political, cultural, and even Christian spaces, this teaching grounds believers in Scripture, history, and the unchanging faithfulness of God.Pastor Jim walks us through Romans 8 and 9 to remind us that in Christ there is no condemnation, no guilty verdict, and no separation from God's love. From there, he tackles the hard question Paul raises: If God is faithful to save and secure us in Christ, what about Israel, God's chosen people? Have they been rejected, replaced, or forgotten? With depth and clarity, this message explores:Why replacement theology is dangerous and historically destructive The unconditional nature of the Abrahamic and Davidic covenants God's ongoing promises to Israel and how they impact our faith today Why misunderstanding these covenants puts our own salvation confidence at risk How Scripture, prophecy, and history align—past, present, and futureThis is not just a theological lesson, it's a call to be spiritually grounded in an age of deception, cultural pressure, and biblical confusion. Romans 9 reminds us that God does not break His Word. If He did, none of us would be secure. This past weekend, Pastor Jim taught a message about the first Christmas, when grace came through the birth of Jesus Christ: “For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ” (John 1:17). Pastor Jim said, “This message about the first Christmas and the people involved is based on the loving kindness and tender mercies of God.” He talked about how there were certain people who had been praying and waiting for the prophesied Savior, and God's mercy allowed these people to be a witness in His birth—and their participation was forever documented! They were witnesses to when “Grace Came.”Our Links–• Join The Prayer Movement!: https://theprayermovement.com• Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/livingwordmn• Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/livingwordmn• Stay up to date with all things LWCC at https://www.LWCC.org• Join our Online Church community here: https://www.lwcc.org/onlinechurch• Give online: https://www.lwcc.org/give/• If you recently committed your life to God, we'd like to give you a free eBook to help you in your spiritual journey. This past weekend, Pastor Jim picked up where he last left off in his “Grace Unveiled” series. His message was based on Romans 8:31–32: “What then shall we say to [all] this? If God is for us, who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?] He who did not withhold or spare [even] His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all [other] things?” (Amp.) The focus was on the fact that God did not withhold or spare His own Son, Jesus, but gave Him up for us. And then this is the key: “…will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all [other] things?” The point of the message is that the promises of God are free! Some believers say, “I'm a tither, I pray in tongues every day, I go to every service, I do this, I do that…” They're trying to earn the promises of God. They can't be earned. The Father wants you to understand that the promises in the Bible are simply free, but you have to believe they are yours. And you must use your faith to get them! You can't earn them.
