Apologetics in the Orthodox Church has undergone a remarkable transformation. What was once "the world's best kept secret" now flourishes in digital spaces, revealing both opportunities and challenges for those communicating the ancient faith.• Proper catechesis is crucial to maintaining authentic Orthodoxy with an American flavor rather than evangelical American Orthodoxy • Online Orthodox presence is substantial, often giving the impression it's larger than it actually is • Most Orthodox online voices are deeply committed to church life rather than being "terminally online" critics • Young men attending Saturday vespers and other services show the appeal of traditional worship • Orthodox churches are becoming more accessible across America, though some inquirers still live hours from parishes • Different apologetic approaches reach different people, and we should assume the best in those defending the faith • Resources like Father Paul Truebenbach's YouTube series and Patristic Nectar offer excellent catechesis • All Orthodox Christians are perpetual catechumens, constantly learning from the Church's 2,000-year tradition Join Ben “Orthodox Luigi” and Jeremy Jeremiah (of Cloud of Witnesses Radio) as we dive into the beautiful diversity of Orthodox apologetic approaches. Some people respond to straightforward, firm communication while others need gentleness and compassion. These differences aren't accidental but providential – God works through varied voices to reach people exactly where they are. Yet this diversity raises important questions about maintaining authentic Orthodox identity while speaking to American audiences. The conversation addresses common criticisms of online Orthodox presence. Far from being "terminally online," many digital apologists demonstrate deep commitment to liturgical life. Young men choosing vespers over Saturday night entertainment exemplifies this dedication. For those without nearby parishes, these online connections provide essential lifelines to the faith. Orthodox apologetics requires both grace and proper catechesis. Those defending the faith make themselves vulnerable to criticism simply by speaking up. Meanwhile, excellent resources like Father Paul Truebenbach's YouTube series and Patristic Nectar's materials complement parish-based instruction. Whether recently illumined or long-standing members, we remain perpetual learners in the Church's 2,000-year tradition. Have you encountered Orthodox Christianity online? How has it shaped your understanding of the faith? Share your experience and join the conversation about how different voices reach different hearts with the unchanging truth. This episode is a bit different—because it's a live recording from a panel moderated by host Bill Calkins at the Darwin Perennials Day event in The Gardens at Ball on June 18, 2025. The audio quality is not as good as you're used to hearing from this podcast, because it's pulling from microphones in a tent with lunch being served and hundreds of growers in the background chatting about the plants they saw that morning and meetings with more than 30 leading perennial suppliers in the Ball Seed network. That said, the panelists were excellent, and the content is fantastic. The topic was error correction—common challenges in perennial production that can be easily fixed to avoid running into the same issues year after year. The panel included Chris Fifo from Darwin and PanAmerican Perennials, Drew Koschmann from Walters Gardens and Nathan Jahnke from Ball Seed Technical Services. Some of the frequent pitfalls discussed included best practices for overwintering and bulking perennials, why input selection is critical, evaluating perennial plug and liner quality, managing tough environmental conditions and new research into no-pinch production strategies. We also solicited questions from the crowd and covered about 10 of them before closing. If you missed this year's event, that's OK. Darwin hosts it every year! Mark Wednesday June 17, 2026, on your calendar and come check out the Gardens at Ball with thousands of perennial plants in bloom. As it get closer to the event, you'll find all the details at https://www.darwinperennialsday.com/.

I thought ASHA met that criteria but actually ASHA's net assets are around $174 million.”In this episode, Michelle and Erin host an all start line up of colleagues from across the globe to discuss ASHA's Proposed Changes to the “2020 Certification Standards” and the long-term ramifications that these changes could have for our profession. This conversation is timely in that there are only a matter of days, roughly 3 weeks or less, for audiologists and speech-language pathologists (including students) to write in and advocate to ASHA on whether the proposed changes to the 2020 Certification Standards should be accepted… changes that remove key words and language that were hard fought to obtain. Be informed that this conversation does address political rationale behind the changes and offer a plethora of resources for individuals to grow their knowledge regarding the long-term ramifications of these proposed changes… but it ends with resources on how to make your voice heard! Is it a timeless expectation for God's people, or a relic of the Old Covenant? Passion runs deep on both sides. Tithers often view non-tithers as greedy or lacking faith, while skeptics of tithing accuse its defenders of legalism. In this panel, the Maynardville Fellowship elders tackle the real heart issues beneath the controversy; exploring generosity, humility, and how to walk with conviction without dividing the Body.

Send us a textDespite rumors of SaaS's decline, numerous SaaS companies boasting billion-dollar valuations continue to push innovation, particularly in Payroll and Human Capital Management (HCM). Yet, a paradox emerges as some of these firms, after initially delivering advanced HR features, have rolled back functionality, leaving users disappointed. This raises questions about Personio's rapid rise: Is its success simply a reversion to managed services, signaling a return to the basics, or does it reflect a long-standing gap in the European market for comprehensive HR solutions? In today's episode, we invited a panel of industry experts for a live discussion on LinkedIn to conduct an independent review of Personio's capabilities. We covered many grounds including where Personio might be a fit in the enterprise architecture and where it might be overused. What happens when we're unable to see the divine image in those across the political divide? The recent Los Angeles riots in response to immigration enforcement actions have revealed the deep wounds in our social fabric—and the critical need for spiritual perspective. Join Jeremy Jeremiah, and Mario Andrew as they touch on this issue from an Orthodox perspective.Pray for everyone involved in these conflicts, not just the people on the ground, but the higher-ups too that are making all of these calls. Drawing from personal military experience, our conversation explores how protective equipment like bulletproof vests can transform more than just physical vulnerability—they can alter our perception of others. "When you're geared up, you're like wearing a suit of armor, you're invincible," shares Mario, describing how easily this mindset leads to dehumanizing those on the opposing side. This sobering reflection offers a powerful metaphor for our current social divisions. We dive into the complex dynamics of law enforcement militarization, immigration policy, and Christian responsibility. The Orthodox understanding that every person—regardless of documentation status, political belief, or uniform—bears the image of God challenges us to look beyond superficial divisions. While acknowledging the necessity of laws and order, we grapple with showing Christ-like compassion to families caught in immigration enforcement actions. The conversation ultimately leads us to our personal responsibility before God. Rather than attempting to control government actions or change others' beliefs, our faith calls us to prayer—for protesters, police officers, policy makers, and everyone affected by these conflicts. In times of division, perhaps our most powerful witness is seeing the icon of Christ in those with whom we most strongly disagree. Listen now and join us in seeking a path forward that honors both justice and mercy in these challenging times. Send us a textCRMs designed for the education sector, especially within public institutions and universities, must navigate a complex landscape of fragmented workflows and diverse stakeholders, from students and faculty to alumni and administrators. These organizations often require more than what traditional CRM systems can offer, particularly when managing academic programs, course operations, and dynamic communication channels. The complexity intensifies further with upstream processes like student recruitment and onboarding, which demand highly tailored workflows that generic CRMs frequently fail to accommodate. In this specialized environment, LeadSquared has positioned itself as a strong player with its education-centric CRM offerings. However, the real question lies in how well it measures up to competitors and whether it can truly meet the evolving needs of this multifaceted sector. In today's episode, we invited a panel of industry experts for a live discussion on LinkedIn to conduct an independent review of LeadSquared's capabilities. We covered many grounds, including where LeadSquared might be a fit in the enterprise architecture and where it might be overused. Finally, they analyze many data points to help understand the core strengths and weaknesses of LeadSquared. Background Soundtrack: Away From You – Mauro SommFor more information on growth strategies for SMBs using ERP and digital transformation, visit our community at wbs.rocks or elevatiq.com. Send us a textCall center and customer service workflows, particularly in heavily regulated sectors like banking, financial services, and insurance, often involve a level of complexity that standard CRM platforms struggle to accommodate. Processes such as client onboarding, approval cycles, and exception handling require dynamic, BPM-like capabilities that go beyond basic ticketing or task management. While major CRM solutions may offer customization, they frequently lack the agility and deep integration needed for real-time process orchestration and ad-hoc decision-making. This is where Pegasystems distinguishes itself, leveraging its strengths in process automation, AI-driven decisioning, and dynamic case management to manage intricate workflows with precision and adaptability. Positioned as a leader in the convergence of CRM and business process management, Pegasystems stands out for organizations seeking a platform that can handle complex service environments while maintaining compliance and operational efficiency. In today's episode, we invited a panel of industry experts for a live discussion on LinkedIn to conduct an independent review of Pegasystems' capabilities. We covered many grounds, including where Pegasystems might be a fit in the enterprise architecture and where it might be overused. Finally, they analyze many data points to help understand the core strengths and weaknesses of Pegasystems. Background Soundtrack: Away From You – Mauro SommFor more information on growth strategies for SMBs using ERP and digital transformation, visit our community at wbs.rocks or elevatiq.com. We are currently in an era that celebrates self-expression. Whether online or in person, we are encouraged to share our thoughts and emotions. Unlike previous generations, we now have the freedom to openly express how we feel. While there are numerous advantages to sharing our emotions with others, overdoing it can have its drawbacks. That's why it's essential to strike a balance between emotional control and expressiveness. This balance, tailored to our personal preferences and the context we find ourselves in, is key to navigating the world of emotional expression with confidence and reassurance. To delve deeper into this subject, I have invited Sahar Milani, an Experiential Brand Specialist and Host of the Mindful Makers Podcast and Laura Roche, an MC, podcaster and mindfulness and self-compassion expert, to join me for an in-depth discussion. Sahar Milani is the founder and Experiential Director of Sorshaa, a global brand strategist with a passion for human connection, storytelling, and wellbeing. With over 20 years of experience in mindfulness and a career spanning Europe, MENA, and Southeast Asia, she helps brands communicate with clarity and purpose to create meaningful impact. Sahar is also the host of Mindful Makers, a podcast spotlighting individuals and brands making a positive difference, recognized as one of the top 8 female-led MENA podcasts by SheerLuxe Middle East. Her work sits at the intersection of curiosity, creativity, and conscious communication. Laura Roche was born and raised in Spain and holds a bachelor's degree in Social Pedagogy and a Master's in Mindfulness for Conscious Organizations from the University of Barcelona. She's also a mindfulness and self-compassion teacher from the University of San Diego, California. She spent hundreds of hours on retreats and even lived for short periods at a Buddhist temple. Having lived and worked on four continents, she has garnered valuable knowledge and experience in dealing with a multitude of people and cultures, always learning and opening herself up to new experiences. In this interview, we examine the various aspects of emotional expression, weighing its advantages and disadvantages. More importantly, we share practical strategies for achieving a healthy balance.
